You fellers are GREAT. I really enjoy your music---only thing...when my Gibson was made they left out those good runs (or maybe it's me??) Such good picking
That song is one of my MANY favorites, and, yes, I do have several favorites. Y'all do (in my opinion, for whatever it's worth) every bit as good a job as Front Range ever did. Not to downgrade them, they were strictly excellent. It's just that y'all are also strictly excellent! Keep it up!!!
hey always great to hear your playing ..someone mentioned you on Bluegrass Gospel on my facebook page......they really like you too..so your fame is spreading far and wide.....thanks again..
Hello from Germany, we love a l l of your videos they are awesome. Is there any cd from you we can buy or order? My absolut favorit is HILLS THAT I CALL HOME.
Thanks for commenting. As noted above, Bob Amos wrote this song (and many other such masterpieces). He was the lead singer and guitarist for a bluegrass band called Front Ranger. They're no longer together. The fact that this video has more views than any of our other videos (that have been posted for far longer) shows how much interest remains in Front Range.
Great Job on this song. Can you please send me the chords you use with the capo on the first fret, and if you have it I really liked the lead. Thank you. Please send to: gunz4glory@aol.com
this is Beautiful... I used to go see Front Range and Bob Amos here is Delaware, Bob is from Delaware, and they were one of the BEST Bluegrass bands I have EVER heard, shame they are no longer together, but I know one of the band members sadly passed away. A Very TALENTED and NICE group of guys... they were Great, miss them. You guys do a very Nice job here, thanks for posting...
i heard Front Range do this song in Vancouver......wow.........how about a double wow.....wow wow...it even sounds good if i spell it backwards... this is an awesome job of the song....Front Range have such a unique sound for a bluegrass group......distint..one of a kind and you guys really really did this song justice.......how about the plains of the buffalo...do you do that one...
We love "The Buffalo Plains," but it would be hard for us to do that song for two reasons: We don't have all those instruments, and the verses are very low. The pitch presented no problem for the banjo player of Front Range, at least I think he sang the lead on that song. Thanks so much for your kind comments.

One of the FINEST ballads I have ever come across. Eggsackly WHO was the composer?
It's a beautiful melody as well as the lyrics.
Thank you.
