Also, I LOVE his reaction at the end of the show. The standard reaction in TV is for a guy to see that as him lossing his lover. Instead, he is greatful that the two have made a connection and is happy regardless of where that relationship will lead. ... This could be such a good series and really help the social mind set if viewed on mass scale to at least question typical base reactions.
Finally this shows FAMILY's true potential as a lasting series. This isn't about sex or even an alternative couple, but a honest open examination of the concept of family. Life changes, people move in and out of our lives on their own journeys. We have to be free to connect and follow were relationships take us. As a multi-year series characters would be able to join the family and leave as their stories are told. I wish this would continue. It has real promise.
As you suggest, there is no deliberate connection. Terisa created the Grant character many months ago, I created the Dr. Sarah character several months ago, and we put them together in this way, in this episode, because we noticed similarities between them.
Hi, everyone. Matt Bullen here, showing up in the Comments box for once. Finding it comfortable: these seat cushions are plush. Nice. Nice needlework.
Terisa and I take note of the comments on every episode, and talk about them as we think and write. So thanks much for taking the time, each time.
I love this newest episode of the Family web series. Terisa and partner Matt wrote a moving script. And though I doubt that there is a connection, one would have to wonder just how it is that this story line echoes a main story line on last night's Grey's Anatomy season opener. (Grey's is set in Seattle, too.)
Kudos to Terisa's partner, Scott Campbell, as Grant. Does the talent in Terisa's family ever run out? Hope not! I love that so much of the real family appears in the series.
I liked this one. I wish you could crank up production because, even though i enjoy the side characters and their stories, I'm really interested to see how Stuart takes Ben and Gemma getting married...
While I can appreciate this on its own, I really think it strays so far from the main characters. With only two ten minute or so episodes a month, it's hard to get or want to get into storylines focusing on the supporting characters. I much prefer when the episodes focus on the three main characters and the others are there only to support them and the story.
This episode is broken on NWLive (and 7 is missing altogether).
I liked the series, though. It'd be nice if you get to come back to it, but like anything in life, I'll just appreciate it for what it is. Thanks. ☺

We think and hope they can help each other. :-)
