OK- how about this - I think I stayed at your parent's house in Manchester with Barry in 1970 but your father got mad at me and another friend because we weren't polite enough so he kicked us out after one day.

I see the recording studios were Strawberry in Manchester. Graham Gouldman is one of my songwriting heroes, not only 10cc, but the singles he wrote for the Yardbirds, the Hollies, Herman's Hermits etc. were extraordinary and eclectic ~ up there with Lennon and McCartney! I love the musical arrangement of 'Sweet America' on the single.

Hi Nev, yes it was an amazing time. 10cc had grown out of Hot Legs and they all drove Lotus cars and dreaming about being Beatles. In a way they wore that mantle i think. 4 writers./ This recording was one of their first projects. Graham on fuzz guitar. Barry Greenfield

Hi Nev, it was am amazing period working with 10cc. the song was BBC record of the week on the famous Tony Blackburn morning Show. The week before the BBC chose McCartney's ANOTHER DAY, the week following, Ticket To Ride by the Carpenters. I still do the song Live (occasionally). Graham Gouldman on fuzz guitar and BG's by 10cc.
