these guys are damn quick. looks like fun except seems like the get hit in the nuts a lot on accident. how come they dont hit in the face at all? i mean hell my friends and i have backyard boxing matches sometimes mix in wrestling. we hit in the face and no one has ever been injured badly yet. not saying were better or anything, these guys are obviously skilled and would kick our asses. not trying to troll, just curious.
bballsh4h- in regards to your comment regarding "muay thai". i have trained in Shidokan Karate and muay thai as well as other martial arts and they each hold there effectiveness in striking. muay thai however is is a great martial art and is one of my favourites.
most martial artists would agree that there is no better or triumphant martial art they each hold flaws and advantages. if you have a good teacher and strong motivation you can be an effective striker in any martial art.
@czstudios Sure u do....xD and kazureyu....I gues u have no idea what they are urself....I wonder why do even botehr replyng...to retards like u that have no idea how to fight and probabily rent older then 12-13 xD
@czstudios thats cool man, muay thai is a great martial art and your allowed to thinks so, i just don't think because a muay thai fighter is against a different style that they are guaranteed to win or that they are a better fighter.
if kyokushin is practiced with no face strikes,it loses its combat effectiveness,so in my dojo if you do not protect you face you go home with a serious red face but not broken nose.
...then it's shotokan ... that is the difference between shotokan and kyokushin, btw it does not lose street effectiveness a kyokushin guy can easily take someone out with a shot to the solar plexus
@TheSenseiadam Other words USA kyokushin mcdojo academy it dosent lose any efetivines...but if u are untaleted retard and u have a shity trainer its sure does lose its efectivines....
Yes because it interpretates different martial arts so you are more versatile vs other martial arts and also if you learn new stuff from somewhere else its very easy to incorporate into your fighting. Shidokan is focused into ending a fight as quick as possible, it's more of a fighting style than a sport which kyokushin is. i recommend shidokan, because then you learn the basics it will be very easy to mix other arts into it making u a better fighter.
depending on location the tournament rules to shidokan vary. (US tends to have a round of kyokushin, one of muay thai and one of MMA) Europe is bare knuckle full contact all 3 rounds with limited holding and groundwork (4seconds) no punches or elbows to face.
shidokan is an evolution of Kyokushin that adds jujitsu techniques (grabbing the gi, throws and submissions) Shingo is an excellent fighter (insanely quick) and Kancho a living Legend!

the difference between kyokushin and traditional karate which I have done for a long time, is the attitude not the techniques..

You guys think this karate is better than Kyokushin?
Bjjownsu10 3 years ago
i guess in a way it could be, but remember its the fighter not the sport.
anyway, shidokan is a mix of 3 martial arts. mainly karate part muay-thai part grappling (jiu-jitsu/judo)
kyokushin is traditional and flat-out karate.
=)

True, but its really not muay thai, the only muay thai technique in shidokan is the clinch.

nope.
