Clearly the whole thematic, I mean, the quality stories, narration, characters, and the artistic level in general are not aspects you find everywhere, especially in this kind of publications that commonly are expected to be for young audiences. (Of course is not the case for LWaC).
ito ogami was my childhood hero.. his seeming invincibility as a swordsman and sensitivity as a father to dear daigoro is legend. That maybe the reason why I'm a lone wolf myself.... and this song... it always strike me in the heart.

I just started reading Lone Wolf and Cub Volume One which is so badass. I used to have volume 19 when I was seven but I lost it. I'm going to buy all of them.
u can go search the engine on net or simply buy the comic. Its dark horse edition in english.
Mine are found in a old book shop, chinese edition. Its cost about $10 per book. A bit expensive but its a thick n good comic so worth any penny of it.

there's no cartoon serie of kozure okami...there's a serie (the one with this opening, but with real actors)and some movies. i think this serie is the best of all the versions

萬屋錦之介さん、凄みがあってピッタリでした。殺陣も水戸黄門のようなチャンバラではなく、暗い凄惨なもので、中学生には大変インパクトのあった番組でありました。
子連れ狼というと橋幸夫さんの歌が有名ですが、私はこちらのバーブ佐竹さんの歌をどうしてもイメージしてしまいます。
