OOOH! I LOVE it!! <3 <3 <3 By the way. Does anyone agree that right at 3:30 when he opens his eyes he looks like a Japanese version of David Bowie. O.O Even more epic ;D
This song is beautiful. A month ago I heard it for the first time at the "Autumn Festival" held in Mexico. A traditional singer from Okinawa told the audience the meaning of the song. Great video!
I have so many great memories with this song from when I was in Japan on a international children camp 5 years ago. I still know the lyrics by heart even today!
Ahh, it is one of the most beatiful songs I know of, even though I usually listen to Skillet and Linkin Park. This is absolutely one of my favorites!=)
@dynasty6378 I'm not japanese neither and I moved my ass and googled the lyrics and translations in english and spanish... but if you don't mind.. look good at the video, there IS a translation...
Having spent two weeks with my love in Miyako island...and probably never having the chance to go back there any time soon again...makes it really painful to see the beautiful scenery and listening to the beautiful song we enjoyed there together. I will remember these forever. Thank you, Okinawa!

@Amychany Hmm do you know what the song was written for? It's for the Himeyuri Students who were killed by the Japanese Imperial Army in forced suicides for Hirohito. Miyazawa Kazuhumi wanted to express the pain and anger at not knowing about such things for so long until an ancient survivor recounted her tale of the incident, a culmination of the long prejudice against the Ryukyu Kingdom islanders who were only relatively recently added to Japan.

I know, i can feel the sadness in his voice, and the indifferent look on his face while singing makes me feel like he doesn't care what happens to him anymore.
