  • It's fast forward :D

  • Holy wow toledo. My favorite gershwin piece and Marcus to venture to do this jazz mode is astonishingly wonderful. Blind at 8 and self taught, proof positive that talent can not be handicapped, it will win out. Love it! Catch his website.

  • who is playing the piano??

  • Marcus Roberts, who gives the name of the Trio...

  • This is just fantastic! I can't believe how good it is! It is like music nirvana! I never thought music could get this good!!!

Is there anywhere I can get this recording????

  • Seiji Ozawa is the conductor in this video. Known for individuality (he would sometimes wear a white turtleneck in place of the traditional starched shirt) known for allowing creativity from the orchestra impromptu. The finest to bring forth a Gershwin piece. Thanks crissth for sharing a rare jewel...

  • @kiddio1231 It's fun to watch the grin Ozawa gets on his face sometimes as he conducts this. He's obviously loving it!

Did Ozawa arrange this for the orchestra?

  • so incredible!

    So beautiful talent is great!

    George would have liked it!

  • 0:00 onwards--- so beautiful!

  • Sorry that I hit the rating button for 2 stars instead of 5. This is a phenomenal video. Marcus Roberts is incredible. I think that this is the performance with the Berlin Philharmonic - Ozawa conducting. Wow!

  • @mollyd7

I think it's either Boston pops or Boston Symphony Orchestra in Tangle-wood.

Oh I love this!!!! I can imagine Gershwin swings at them.

Thank you so much cristhss for sharing it.

  • @mollyd7

Sorry I was wrong in my previous comment.

I found out this was indeed Berlin Phil performing in Berlin.

I just couldn't think of any other people than american would play Gershwin that well. It is amazingly beautifully performed fusion of jazz/classic

    Again I just love this.

  • Excellent! Subtly reflecting the finest style of New York City with its blue rhythm in a classical jazz music.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Repose too my brain..

  • love it! would u post some more??

  • Yes, sir! Look for it withe the keywords: Gershiwn, piano ooncerto in f, etc.

  • many thanks

    peace

  • I love the reggae groove; very unique.

  • I'm speaking of the reggae groove Jason puts underneath the orchestra at 4:42 and Roland goes right along with him on the bass.
