I would not leave the pipe ending under the bus, because the exhaust gases will come up through holes in the floor...

I have a 1987 International Thomas that has the 7.3 IDI in it and I straight piped it. Mine sounds like a hot rod!!! I wish I had a turbo to get that awesome sound you have...
