the fact that you made this using second live means that you are unsocial and lack the basic understanding of physics and astrology people that where fans of the stargate saga did aprove of this series and we cant all watch shows that is even more unrealistic such as glee or gossip girl witch I hate and trash such as Jersey shore(the entire cast is made out of people who think that the sun shines from their rectums and are egotistical and obnoxious in their tiny little own worlds)So STUF SW!
@swift234100 1. This was made from Xtra Normal, NOT second life. 2. What does physics or astrology got to do with a parody about two useless idiots who spend their days screwing each other, and screwing each other over? 3. Stargate fans HATED the show, and even the fans of the show abandoned it as it progressed... that's why it went from 3 million viewers to under a million. How about making some videos yourself, instead of being the obvious troll... Now off to the troll corner for you.
@quizzisation Oh yeah, one sole youtube video was responsible for the downfall of a multi-million dollar, multi-decade spanning, globally popular franchise. You sir have established a new level of stupidity, that even medical science can't explain. It's obvious that you need to be seated at the 'kids' table, so here let me introduce you for your demented denizens... Mr Banhammer!
@Baseshocks ...Season 2 was decent on the whole. You could see a return to the stylings of SG-1 and SGA, little by little. The only problem is, they realized a little too late that being "edgy" was going to get them axed. So, on that score, I have to say it sucks that the show couldn't continue to evolve. But, let's face it: most shows that do so badly in even the first HALF of their first season tend to get cancelled then and there. The SGU crybabies should be glad that it made it through S2.
@TheTetrion Well, all it takes is to remember the epic-ness of SciFi Friday. SG-1 and SGA carried that evening, and even threw in a few humourous promos to boot. SGU dragged Friday's ratings down and threw in a few clips of random crap on the MGM site that no one really cared about. Kino recordings? Really? The worst part it was that they actually made reference to things in the site extras in a few episodes and even use them after the fact to explain small inconsistencies between them.
@fmcc0904 It helps to remember that not everyone lives in USA, and has unlimited downloads. Some of us have to search to find it, and it costs us on our monthly quota. I wouldn't mind if it was somewhat decent, but it wasn't and I wasted a lot of my quota getting this garbage. That being said, the whole Kino crap was them trying to appease the pissed off fans pointing out the gaping plot holes. Urgh, I so hated those wretched creepy voyeurism balls, and the even creepier Eli controlling them.
@TheTetrion LOL "The even creepier Eli"...I didn't think Wallace was that bad. Just a gamer/dropout who rarely had any luck with the ladies. The scene of him spying on Lt. James was just...ugh. I'm sorry, but the only things she had going for her (in my opinion) counted two, and even those didn't make up for the fact that she looked like a beautiful woman who had been smacked with a sack of quarters at some point. Maybe if the Kino could blur out faces...
@quizzisation Right. Because those of us who had something better to do on "SyFy" Fridays than watch a shipload of whiners cry and fight about everything under the sun (or "suns" depending on if they were in a binary star system) for an hour and MAYBE have ONE vaguely important/entertaining thing happen for 2-5 minutes out of that hour deserve the blame for not watching something that just wasn't any fun to watch. You are absolutely correct.
Respond to this video... Good show??? LOL, that's why it was CANCELLED! Then again, I wouldn't expect a mature, intelligent response from a troll with the attention span of a cricket. Come back in a few years when you've matured, and grown a brain. Until then, meet my good friend, the banhammer!
I wonder how SGU had performed in the summer.. Sanctuary's recent ratings paint a funny picture as it dropped to less than 50% of it's usual audience when moved away from fridays, and when the summer season started and the networks finished their shows, its ratings suddenly doubled again
Personally I would have preferred if they had gone through with their original plan: SGA AND SGU, in the SUMMER. That'd have been great. There would have been something for everone.
@asgardlegacy The 'move to screenings on x-day, caused the ratings drop' is a load. The ratings were dropping BEFORE the move in timeslots and days. That's just more excuses by Wright and Mozz. Look at it this way, they only screen performing shows on primetime, and move the others to make way for performing ones. The moves may also appeal to a different audience with different viewing patterns, but it's usually an indication that the show is dying. That and the introduction of newer characters.
If you look at SGU's ratings, there was a steady decline in ratings no matter how many times they moved timeslots or screening days. I mean going from over 3 million viewers at the premiere, to under 1 million, shows that the show just was not performing. Combined with the fact that the writers were pulling out every cliché in the book to survive, it was evident that SGU was on the track to cancellation oblivion. It didn't even last 1 1/2 seasons before being cancelled.
@TheTetrion The show never had 3 million viewers when it premièred, it had around 2.3 million. Over the course of it's run it lost proportionately about the same chunk of viewers that Atlantis did, the difference being that Atlantis had the benefit of both airing in the summer, and being sandwiched between SG-1 and BSG in their highest rated seasons.
Some ppl here are clearly new to Stargate series , probably kids that just found out SGU and dont know shit . I remember SGU first artistic episode ...was epic ! and the series epic . SGA wasnt bad either...but SGU is the bigest failure. If you want something diferent go watch other sci-fi that is similar to SGU fucking noob , this is STARGATE , not drama movie for emos.Thank you and for all those SGU fans , i'm glad this SGU series is going to shit. Now give me the hate!
@Molhedim Finally, someone with a modicum of intelligence and maturity, who sees this stinking pile for what it was... a second rate soap opera, trying to cash in on BSG 'gritty' fame. The thing about it, it was a STARGATE show, yet they never used the thing, instead they were too busy getting stoned and crying over cookies with Mommy, or screwing around in someone else's body.
@TheTetrion "i remember first SG artisitc episode " i wrote SGU xD . Anyway ....i hope they get seson 6 going from atlantis ...but dunno , we will have to wait and see ...maybe continue sg1 series ? we can only dream of.
@Molhedim SG1 first episode is like SHIT (low-budget, bad script) but it had started an epic Stargate series that we know today. My point is: Bashing blindly on SGU is not productive and caused the TV network to cancel Stargate altogether. -Contrarily: SGU's first episode is EPIC, and its emo drama made viewer 'feel smart about themselve', but unfortunately its target group boycotted the series...
@xponen Children of the God's was cheesy, but it was far from shit. It introduced a characters, the main antagonist, opened story lines etc. SGU introduced us to a bunch of oversexed, psychologically damaged whiners stuck on a dilapidated ship, with no hope of return, except for a body swapping booty call. The difference is that SG1 was sci-fi, and SGU was a shitty emo melodrama. When will you people understand, SGU is NOT SCI-FI, and it was the RATINGS that cancelled the series.
Respond to this video... Furthermore, I watched every episode of SGU, so I'm not blindly bashing the series... but don't let that get in the way of your rant. I don't know which ass you pulled the 'made viewer feel smarter about themselve [sic]', but I can assure you that how can a true sci-fi fan feel smarter, when they have to turn off their brains to tolerate this garbage... Case in point, Chloe walking up to a hull breach by invading enemy, standing there to be abducted by hostile aliens
@TheTetrion It wasn't a hull breach; it was a perfectly cut hole on the ceiling with a non-omnious light shining like some sort of salvation (and we don't know how the alien looks like. we are at the moment curious too!).It really make sense when you watch it at that time. -I think you didn't appreciate the emotions: that's why you hate SGU much... (IMO)
@xponen Get a clue. Anything that 'breaches the hull is a 'HULL BREACH'. It was the middle of an attack by a hostile alien force, cutting through the hull, how in the hell was it otherwise? It wasn't salvation, it was an INVASION. That's why there was a guard standing there (and doing nothing). How can you think that an invading hostile alien force, attacking your ship is anything other than HOSTILE? Geez, get a clue you moron. Now off to banhammer oblivion, you clueless halfwit.
@TheTetrion It's funny that he tried to correct you on Eli. Eli himself admitted to being a dropout, and McKay even later pointed it out to him as well.
and then returning with an alien STD, only to become a genius that's able to decipher alien languages, excel in quantum physics and advanced maths, pilot a million year old alien ship, and perform surgery... Only to have the said STD removed, and retain the genius. Give me a break. Oh, yeah lets not forget a 1st year college dropout /gamer, able to beat a astrophysics doctorate in subspace/hyperspace theorem, from watching a few youtube vids by an archeologist
@TheTetrion Eli was not a college dropout; he was an unemployed MIT graduate who like to play game and live with his mother and blame jobs for not suiting his need. The plot for his recruitment into SG team is similar to the original Stargate movie where the protagonist solved a puzzle relevant to the project (but not the project itself) and was brought to the team to work on the actual project. -I think you had missed alot of detail from SGU series.
@xponen Jesus, how clueless are you. Eli is a DROP OUT, not a graduate. You've obviously got no idea about this show, or have been watching something else. I can't be bothered arguing with someone who hasn't got a clue nor a brain.
sgu was by far the best stargate series. sci fi hipsters are just sad it's not all about just sci fi and then are not all wearing same uniforms sticking to cliche sci-fi genre by the book. sgu>sg1>>>>>atlantis
@topaboss So, in other words, this show is BETTER than the original. Give me a break. This show is by definition of a cliche. Let's see; Genius, college dropout, cracked the 'code' - check, Popular Girl- check, Beefcake Army dude -check, Trigger-happy, token, jar-head- check, evil scientist -check, socially inept, scientist geeks - check, paper-pushing, despotic, bean-counter- check. That's not mentioning love triangles, pregnancies, death and marriages episodes... Get a clue fool.
You should know that parody is different from tasteless criticism. Learn the difference. That was sh*t, without the least bit of humor, and in no way related to SGU...At best, a parody of a parody. Thank you dislike button.
@Werewolfinou Just because YOU didn't find it funny, nor understood it, doesn't mean others didn't find it funny or understood it. The world doesn't revolve around you, or your opinion sweetheart. Oh, and for the record it's a poor parody of a very bad show, but it's still a PARODY... Just like you're not contributing to the comments and just flaming, hence you're a TROLL.
@Werewolfinou I watched the show, i liked it, but i agree with this 'tasteless" parody. You have to view this objectively, there's more then mindless blind fanboyism. The show wasn't perfect, it sure as hell had its flaws, just as this video "dicretely" emphasized. Too many cliched characters, last minute near death escapes, that was getting old in SG1, back in the days. The writers lacked imagination, they lost it somewhere around season 7 of sg1, thats when that show started to suck too.
@deadspacevet and yet the network cancelling the show proves my point, imbecile. Now off to banhammer oblivion for you and all your pathetic trolling friends, until you learn to grow a brain and grow up, which ever occurs first.
@nihilityjoey you name it, but I don't go for star trek as it's been bastardised to some bizarre puritanical Brady-Bunch nonsense (bar the reboot movie).
@TheTetrion seriously mate universe was well good, yes is was different from atlantis and sg1 but it still had the same relevence if not more than the others, total different variables and the biggest being the unknown universe. Startrek is shit always has been i liked voyeger though for the same reasons as sgu but it pales in comparison. They should bring back firefly too, these great shows canceled for fuckin reality tv and celebraty bulshit, and fuckin primevil......ffffffuuuuuuccccccckkkkk!
@nihilityjoey I personally didn't find Universe all that great, and all the mindless bitching, moaning and melodrama drove me nuts. In all honesty, it was like watching days of our lives on a ship. Now seeing how it was a STARGATE show, why was it the LEAST used aspect of the show? Hell, body swapping sex occurred more than actually using the stargate. It's a pity, they hardly explored the unknown universe, as they spent most of the time probing the space between Chloe's legs.
@TheTetrion the only charecter that grated a bit was mister wallace, i did want too smash him too bits sometimes but appart from that it was all good, i dont remember chloe getting banged as much as you make out but i still think that it would have gotten much better, but well never know.
@nihilityjoey It did have the potential, but a lot of it was wasted on all the melodrama, whining and bitching. I mean we had whole episodes of baby showers, crying over bowls of goo, crying over lost loves, crying with mum/partners, drunken sex in someone's body, finding God, multiple mutinies, and storyline that crawl along. Seriously, soaps have faster progressing stories.
@TheTetrion yes but soaps are shit all of them without acception, soaps are sopposed too represent the culture and community they are set in even though they are ffiction, but its all bollocks. Nearly all telly now is all geared towards the mainstream public that wouldn't know decent viewing if it was streamed too them in thier sleep its all about dumbing the minds keeping people in total fiction that anything that could make people question about reality in general is brushed aside.
@TheTetrion I would rather wtch people in an ancient ship whineing over food than pat butcher in eastenders anyday of the week, and why? because i know the back story too why they are whineing on a ship in space. I am very much in to the u.f.o phenomena, and all other asspects of our existence, world and life in general and stargate in all its guises is infinatly more viewable from a realty asspect than fucking geordie slags trying too become celebraties.
@nihilityjoey True, but it should be balanced with some decent sci-fi stories, not episode after episode of somebody crying over something, or banging some guy, or whining about how horrible their existence is. Season 1 was all that, but season 2 reduced the 'soapy' aspects a bit, but I still found it tedious at times.
@1m2a3r4c5u6s Hey, I've watched every episode and I still don't know what's it all about, as it meanders listlessly between people screaming at each other, and Chloe's panties.
@CaptChadd Haha, that's rich, I don't understand Stargate?!? Mate, I've been watching quality sci-fi for longer than you've been alive. You're obviously a mindless shill, with no understanding of what quality sci-fi is, and will swallow anything swill the network will throw at you. How about learning the meaning of 'parody', before commenting on something you know NOTHING about. Now get back to being a screaming fanboy, while Steve Jobs picks his arse on stage.
@bujoun76 So scared, some big bad youtube geek is gunna get me!!! Really now, I'm shitting myself! That's ok, your 1min45sec gives me comfort though...
I only watched season one, i kept watching hoping it would get better, but it never did. I wish i kept closer attention to it; people say its gotten way better in season two; i might have even given it another go.
The plot was okay, i didn't like the drama though - i HATE drama.
Shame to see SGU go, because with it the franchise will probably go with it.
@FuryOfTheBane The franchise was dead before they even started SGU, as the network was desperate to get a slice of the 'gritty, reality show' pie. Even the producers said they were moving away from the 'Stargate' formula, and heading into 'dark drama' territory. Problem is that in their insane attempts to emulate BSG and reality show success, they ended up with some lame, melodramatic, soapy bastard child that was akin to a show about Hayden Christianson/Anakin Skywalker whiny ass, teen angst.
@TheTetrion I did end up watching season 2, and it was MUCH better than 1. That last sentence about Skywalker was a low blow, i loved his transformation into the dark side, but i wish it was more dark than 'feelingies'.
@FuryOfTheBane LOL, I'm about as subtle as a bulldozer. I agree season 2 was slightly better than S1, but it still suffered from an overload of soap, sappiness and melancholic melodrama. Seeing how it was a 'STARGATE' show, they used the stones more than the gate, and even screwed more times than used the gate. Still, we ended up with 'The View' in space, granted season 2 threw a few grenades at them, but it was still a bunch of hens clucking, on a lost spaceship.
After Season 1 I was like "WTF SGA WAS WAY BETTER" but after the writers saw their flaws the show got really interesting and entertaining in season 2, however dip shit fans that didn't give Universe a second chance are the once to blame for the shows failure., and oh to those upset crying atlantis babies:
ATLANTIS IS DEAD LIVE WITH IT CAUSE NOW YOU'VE BASICALLY KILLED THE FRANCHISE :***
@okosoa Interesting? Entertaining? WTF were you watching, because it same old soap opera shit, as for dip shit fans, well you have to like a show to be a fan... Genius. The truth is that by the second season, the only ones watching the show were fans of the show, and even they didn't hang on. SGPoo lost one million fans over the course of the second season. So No it wasn't Stargate fans, but rather SGU fans and shitty writing that caused the show's demise. So it is really YOU who is to blame!
you are one of those fans that can't look at things with some distance, and chill out man I'm only sharing my opinion no need to antagonize me, to be a fan of not a show but a franchise is to have patience and "SGU fans" as you call them are the ones that are loyal not to the show but to the whole franchise.
@okosoa Hey, you're the one who called them dipshit fans, and insinuating that SGA fans killed the franchise. I was only responding in kind. The truth is that your a fan, but can't admit that you are. It was that sense of delusional, self-loathing that was responsible for the creation of that reprehensible show. The truth is that patronising attitudes of both the producers and SGU fans to other stargate fans created the divide, but in the end was not enough to keep the show going.
@TheTetrion Plus most of the fans that came aboard for the show, were actually 'gritty, drama' fans that didn't know or care for the franchise in the first place. They were there only for the melodrama, darkness and T&A. Don't believe me, take a look at some of the reviews posted on IMDB, gushing on and on about the superiority of the 'mature' drama of SGU in comparison to the 'immature cheese' of the rest. Face it SGU was NEVER STARGATE, but a poor attempt to cash in on a successful franchise.
@TheTetrion while blatantly stealing ideas from other successful shows, resulting in a contrived, pathetic and a disgusting mess of a show. Much like Caprica. Only difference was that the ones running the show were too arrogant and prideful to admit that it was a steaming turd and needed fixing, and decided it was the SG1/SGA fan's fault. So what we ended up with was another Enterprise season 1-3, Heroes S2-6, Caprica S1 etc.
@okosoa yes I agree. For example: SG1's first episode is like a low-budget-TVseries (and reviewer says only kids would love to watch it (wikipedia)), but then after several season SG1 became epic like we know today. -People who complain too much should go watch SG1's first episode and judge why their excessive bashing is wrong and not productive...
@okosoa Um, actually it was the production team that killed the franchise. They not only ignored their target demographic completely (but somehow picked up a bunch of idiots who think that injecting the more pathetic and foolhardy elements of human nature into a TV show makes it more entertaining as fans) and then blogged about how they blamed the longtime fans for SGU's failure. Sorry there, Wright, Malozzi, et al. WE didn't make SGU. They did. And it was their fault. Period.
@fmcc0904 Shows what happens when TPTB disrespect fans. The fans are essentially what keep scifi shows alive - either you give the fans the respect they deserve or karma will cut you like a bitch.
@fmcc0904 what kills me even more is that the die hard fans think of this series as more intelligent then other sifi. lol.. all those BS he said she said drama, sex scenes, relationship issues.. the shaky camera trick to make scenes look more exciting. the inconsistency of the captain, first he seems all hard ass, ripping a new one on rush, sending his troops to fuck up the civi's for trying to take the ship. Then he gets all pussy and cant kill a few Lucian alliance peeps? <-- just the start.
@Baseshocks Well, let's be fair. Season 2 saw some improvement, since the main characters lashed out at each other a little less and actually worked as a team. Wright and Mallozzi also fell back on exactly what they claimed they wanted to avoid in the form of English-speaking humans being encountered "out there". Yes, I know they were descendants of an alternate timeline version of Destiny's crew, but they were still English-speaking humans. Aside from trash like "Cloverdale" and "The Hunt"...

@mistermassive1 Be thankful it won't be on for much longer, seeing how it's CANCELLED. That's right you squeedrones, it's DEAD and BURIED. Accept the fact that it was SO BAD that even a clueless network, threw it in the bin! Hahahaha
@adef49099 Judging by it's continual ratings downfall, it couldn't even KEEP its fans anyway. Mate, if you think repeated, non-consential rape, murder, duplicity, insubordination and pandering by cheap titillation as the height of culture, I suggest you get a clue.
@TheTetrion no; the height of culture is the representation and expression of the nature of the human condition, of the way in which science affects the human psychology; that is, after all, the fundamental nature of science fiction. sgu is a much higher level of science fiction than previous stargate franchises.
They're either screwing each other, bitching at each other, crying over some bf in a tub of alien ice-cream, or having a hens gossip. Yep, all those clichés have been used multiple times in episodes of this shitty show, and they actually believe it's sci-fi. Ha!
@jackhammer10101 Unfortunately, the software used to make this clip is very limited, you can only have 2 people talking to each other, and nothing much else. Anyway, sometimes you have to be graphic to get your message across... even then it still doesn't... just look at the ignorance the fans of the show here display... I mean, how many times does one have to tell them that this piece of shit show is not sci-fi.
This is news to people? I've been noticing Sci-Fi steadily trending towards "Soap Opera in Space" for over a decade. Hell, I've pretty much given up on the entire genre because that's all I basically see anymore.
@Goldbeetle29 Finally someone with a brain! Thank you Gold, you've proved that humanity still has a shred of intelligence. Yes, people actually believe that this heap of shit show is actually QUALITY SCI-FI! It's neither SCI-FI or QUALITY. It's pure soapy titillation and nothing more, and a very poor version at that. That's why it's been CANCELLED!
Your kidding aren't you, or were you watching the same show I was? This is EXACTLY what happened on the show. Love triangles, jealousy, adultery, sex, murder, mistresses, pregnancy. SGU was a SOAP OPERA not sci-fi, and that's why it was CANCELLED. Soaps have a main formula that goes like this ; Birth, Marriage, Death... wash, rinse & repeat. Sgu had ALL of these soap elements, and thus is a SOAP OPERA dressed up as sci-fi. Saying otherwise is deluding yourself. Get a clue you hapless squeedrone.
@DreadnusNX01 Action: Barely; Adventure: Nope; Drama: More like Melodrama; Mystery: Nope; Sci-fi: Nope... Get a grip with reality fool. Likening SGU to Sci-Fi, is akin to likening Days of Our Lives to quality drama. Riddle me this buddy, how many sci-fi shows does the one of the main married characters father an illegitimate child from an affair, with another of the main characters??? NONE!!! How many times does this very plot feature in soaps? ALL THE TIME!! Therefore SGU=SOAP OPERA NOT SCI-FI!
@TheTetrion theyre on an alteran ship on the other side of the universe. The ship is hundreds of thousands of years old sent out to search for inteligence present before the begining of the universe. it travels though galaxys connecting to hundreds of planets. They are being constantly attacked by several alien species. to sum up.. Action, Adventure, Mystery and it could define sci-fi.
If someone cheating on someone and/or getting pregnant is what a soap opera is for you, then its a soap opera.
when SGA came out....there was no uprising, it was accepted.....when TNG came out, it was embraced...when voyager came out it was decent, you had to get used to janeway, but i liked her...
when enterprise came...it was cancelled, because it was horrible...when SGU came out, i wanted to watch enterprise....i would even take Battlefield Earth......jk there...i would need a coin ;-)
Very true about the other stargate series, but not this one, that's the only reason I liked SGU, because it's does not follow the annoying pattern you posted here. I agree there were those moments in that movie, but not half as many and it seemed like they were moving away from it.
I really would like to see what happens in sga. theres so many loose ends. Like what happened to the daedulus, sun zu, and apollo? they were crippled in the last episode. And most importanly what happens to Atlantis? do we keep it on earth or send it back to the pegasus galaxy. plz help save sgu so we can find out, i seriously miss some real stargate
@dasaxophonist Mate, you must be desperate to be spamming an anti-sgu video with 'save sgu campaign', or severely retarded. What illicit substance are you on to think I would ever WANT to save SGU??? Oh, that's right some twisted logic to try and resurrect Atlantis... Ha! with the demented hacks running the show now, I wouldn't want to Atlantis to return, with them at the helm. Plus, they have indicated that they're done with Atlantis. C'mon it wasn't even that good, Space Vampires--- Yawn.
@TheTetrion to stoop low and start name calling only shows how immature you are. second im guessing your not a real stargate fan so i might understand you a bit. and lastly i was putting facts on the table because you people seem to be mis-informed that if sgu got cancelled the franchise would still continue. I for one hated sgu, it seemed to ruin the franchise. but as i read some spoilers that destiny was on a mission to investigate the big bang theory, the show was getting to some potential
@dasaxophonist Haha Not a Stargate fan LOL, I mean sure I've been watching since the ORIGINAL MOVIE came to theaters. Bud, get your position right, you either HATE or LIKE SGU. Not both. Secondly, they WERE NOT searching for the BIG BANG THEORY, but rather GOD. Finally, it is you who is mis-informed and immature proclaiming that I'm not a real stargate fan, without even knowing me. I know full well that canceling SGU will end the franchise, as the hacks would only kill any further productions.
@TheTetrion Now seeing that this is MY Youtube page, if you don't like what I have to say, fuck off and start your own. Until then STFU and get a clue.
@TheTetrion yeah, because you certainly dont act like one the way you critisized sga. and not everything is black and white. there is such a thing as loyalty. like i for one didnt like sga a bit when it first started, but i gave it a chance and on season 4 and 5 it got totally better(thats my opinion). And its called a spoiler because it hasnt happened yet. what they will find will be relevant to the big bang theory, and possibly its creator.
@dasaxophonist Loyalty has to be EARNED, not given just because it's got 'Stargate' in its name. To do so otherwise makes you a mindless fanboy, eating up any shit the network plops out. That's the reason why Star Trek survived so long, and became so bastardized and kitschy that it hardly resembled the original. Atlantis had the potential to be good, but sucked from the start as the producers tried to copy the 'Twilight' craze, after that it turned into the McKellar Show. Yech
@TheTetrion And yes I dont know you, but supporting a show is what makes you a fan. Not doing so is the antithesis. The way you critisized sga just gave me the impression otherwise. So I apologize if I hurt your feelings. I like to end the debate here as I am not in the debate club. Nor do I like arguing over the internet
@dasaxophonist Nope, blindly supporting a brand, makes you a fanboy. Appreciating a show for its merits makes you a fan. Understand there is a clear difference.
@TheTetrion Interesting. I didnt know there were categories for types of fans. And star trek was good, but thats another topic. And IMO its respect thats has to be earned, you have to give some to get some. Like lets say another member of your family asks for help, do you help them because they've earned loyalty or just because their family? its the same with our military, there loyal to Americans just because were American. theres more to it than that but you should get my point
we all can agree season 1 of the show sucked bad. there were a few good episodes however, like the first episode air part 1, and the first episode of the foot hold situaton where the lucian alliance got aboard destiny(one of the best foothold scenarios in the franchise) The show was finally getting somewhere though and because of the cancellation we dont get the stargate movies. So plz if you want a sga movie plz suck it up and help save sgu
@dasaxophonist Atlantis is over, Period. No amount of sycophantic arse kissing the producers will bring it back. I don't know what planet your on, but no amount of support for one show will EVER bring back another. I will NEVER support the twitching, retarded abortion that was SGU, and have no interest in EVER bringing it back. In fact, I'll sign the online petition to keep it canceled and away from the TV screen. It's dead, and that's the way it should stay FOREVER.
It got cancelled... There is a God... for all those SGU sycophantic squeedrones out there... here's some advice from Stewie... 'Yes, your tears sustain me'...
For those who don't understand, Token Slut = Chloe; Lt BeefCake = Lt Scott. I wish I could make more, but xtranormal now charges for movie production. I make another, but just as I finished it, they started their fees.
People seem to hate this, but as one who watched Stargate Universe for a while, this is hilarious!

the fact that you made this using second live means that you are unsocial and lack the basic understanding of physics and astrology people that where fans of the stargate saga did aprove of this series and we cant all watch shows that is even more unrealistic such as glee or gossip girl witch I hate and trash such as Jersey shore(the entire cast is made out of people who think that the sun shines from their rectums and are egotistical and obnoxious in their tiny little own worlds)So STUF SW!
swift234100 5 months ago 2
@swift234100 1. This was made from Xtra Normal, NOT second life. 2. What does physics or astrology got to do with a parody about two useless idiots who spend their days screwing each other, and screwing each other over? 3. Stargate fans HATED the show, and even the fans of the show abandoned it as it progressed... that's why it went from 3 million viewers to under a million. How about making some videos yourself, instead of being the obvious troll... Now off to the troll corner for you.
TheTetrion 5 months ago
Stargate sucked since the movie.
worldofdraculas 5 months ago
@worldofdraculas Yeah, and that's why the series it spawned lasted for near two decades. Not bad for a series that 'sucked'.
TheTetrion 4 months ago
@TheTetrion Popularity = quality? That doesn't make much sense because they still all had horrible acting, writing, and production.

TheTetrion 5 months ago
@Baseshocks ...Season 2 was decent on the whole. You could see a return to the stylings of SG-1 and SGA, little by little. The only problem is, they realized a little too late that being "edgy" was going to get them axed. So, on that score, I have to say it sucks that the show couldn't continue to evolve. But, let's face it: most shows that do so badly in even the first HALF of their first season tend to get cancelled then and there. The SGU crybabies should be glad that it made it through S2.
fmcc0904 5 months ago
@fmcc0904 Thank you, about time someone with a brain saw the crappyness of the show for what it was.
TheTetrion 5 months ago
@TheTetrion Well, all it takes is to remember the epic-ness of SciFi Friday. SG-1 and SGA carried that evening, and even threw in a few humourous promos to boot. SGU dragged Friday's ratings down and threw in a few clips of random crap on the MGM site that no one really cared about. Kino recordings? Really? The worst part it was that they actually made reference to things in the site extras in a few episodes and even use them after the fact to explain small inconsistencies between them.
fmcc0904 5 months ago
@fmcc0904 It helps to remember that not everyone lives in USA, and has unlimited downloads. Some of us have to search to find it, and it costs us on our monthly quota. I wouldn't mind if it was somewhat decent, but it wasn't and I wasted a lot of my quota getting this garbage. That being said, the whole Kino crap was them trying to appease the pissed off fans pointing out the gaping plot holes. Urgh, I so hated those wretched creepy voyeurism balls, and the even creepier Eli controlling them.
TheTetrion 5 months ago
@TheTetrion LOL "The even creepier Eli"...I didn't think Wallace was that bad. Just a gamer/dropout who rarely had any luck with the ladies. The scene of him spying on Lt. James was just...ugh. I'm sorry, but the only things she had going for her (in my opinion) counted two, and even those didn't make up for the fact that she looked like a beautiful woman who had been smacked with a sack of quarters at some point. Maybe if the Kino could blur out faces...
fmcc0904 5 months ago
@quizzisation Right. Because those of us who had something better to do on "SyFy" Fridays than watch a shipload of whiners cry and fight about everything under the sun (or "suns" depending on if they were in a binary star system) for an hour and MAYBE have ONE vaguely important/entertaining thing happen for 2-5 minutes out of that hour deserve the blame for not watching something that just wasn't any fun to watch. You are absolutely correct.

@DavyDeckwalker Well Stargate has already crashed and burned before MGM did.

There would have been something for everone.
asgardlegacy 8 months ago
@asgardlegacy The 'move to screenings on x-day, caused the ratings drop' is a load. The ratings were dropping BEFORE the move in timeslots and days. That's just more excuses by Wright and Mozz. Look at it this way, they only screen performing shows on primetime, and move the others to make way for performing ones. The moves may also appeal to a different audience with different viewing patterns, but it's usually an indication that the show is dying. That and the introduction of newer characters.
TheTetrion 8 months ago
Respond to this video...
TheTetrion 8 months ago

Molhedim 8 months ago
@Molhedim Finally, someone with a modicum of intelligence and maturity, who sees this stinking pile for what it was... a second rate soap opera, trying to cash in on BSG 'gritty' fame. The thing about it, it was a STARGATE show, yet they never used the thing, instead they were too busy getting stoned and crying over cookies with Mommy, or screwing around in someone else's body.
TheTetrion 8 months ago
@TheTetrion "i remember first SG artisitc episode " i wrote SGU xD . Anyway ....i hope they get seson 6 going from atlantis ...but dunno , we will have to wait and see ...maybe continue sg1 series ? we can only dream of.
Molhedim 8 months ago
@Molhedim SG1 first episode is like SHIT (low-budget, bad script) but it had started an epic Stargate series that we know today. My point is: Bashing blindly on SGU is not productive and caused the TV network to cancel Stargate altogether. -Contrarily: SGU's first episode is EPIC, and its emo drama made viewer 'feel smart about themselve', but unfortunately its target group boycotted the series...
xponen 8 months ago
@xponen the point is ..this is stargate . Stargate was never meant for emo drama shit. Period.
Molhedim 8 months ago
@xponen Children of the God's was cheesy, but it was far from shit. It introduced a characters, the main antagonist, opened story lines etc. SGU introduced us to a bunch of oversexed, psychologically damaged whiners stuck on a dilapidated ship, with no hope of return, except for a body swapping booty call. The difference is that SG1 was sci-fi, and SGU was a shitty emo melodrama. When will you people understand, SGU is NOT SCI-FI, and it was the RATINGS that cancelled the series.
TheTetrion 8 months ago
Respond to this video... (IMO)
xponen 8 months ago
@xponen Get a clue. Anything that 'breaches the hull is a 'HULL BREACH'. It was the middle of an attack by a hostile alien force, cutting through the hull, how in the hell was it otherwise? It wasn't salvation, it was an INVASION. That's why there was a guard standing there (and doing nothing). How can you think that an invading hostile alien force, attacking your ship is anything other than HOSTILE? Geez, get a clue you moron. Now off to banhammer oblivion, you clueless halfwit.

TheTetrion 8 months ago
@TheTetrion Eli was not a college dropout; he was an unemployed MIT graduate who like to play game and live with his mother and blame jobs for not suiting his need. The plot for his recruitment into SG team is similar to the original Stargate movie where the protagonist solved a puzzle relevant to the project (but not the project itself) and was brought to the team to work on the actual project. -I think you had missed alot of detail from SGU series.
xponen 8 months ago
@xponen Jesus, how clueless are you. Eli is a DROP OUT, not a graduate. You've obviously got no idea about this show, or have been watching something else. I can't be bothered arguing with someone who hasn't got a clue nor a brain.

TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion seriously mate universe was well good, yes is was different from atlantis and sg1 but it still had the same relevence if not more than the others, total different variables and the biggest being the unknown universe. Startrek is shit always has been i liked voyeger though for the same reasons as sgu but it pales in comparison. They should bring back firefly too, these great shows canceled for fuckin reality tv and celebraty bulshit, and fuckin primevil......ffffffuuuuuuccccccckkkkk!
nihilityjoey 9 months ago
@nihilityjoey I personally didn't find Universe all that great, and all the mindless bitching, moaning and melodrama drove me nuts. In all honesty, it was like watching days of our lives on a ship. Now seeing how it was a STARGATE show, why was it the LEAST used aspect of the show? Hell, body swapping sex occurred more than actually using the stargate. It's a pity, they hardly explored the unknown universe, as they spent most of the time probing the space between Chloe's legs.
TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion the only charecter that grated a bit was mister wallace, i did want too smash him too bits sometimes but appart from that it was all good, i dont remember chloe getting banged as much as you make out but i still think that it would have gotten much better, but well never know.
nihilityjoey 9 months ago
@nihilityjoey It did have the potential, but a lot of it was wasted on all the melodrama, whining and bitching. I mean we had whole episodes of baby showers, crying over bowls of goo, crying over lost loves, crying with mum/partners, drunken sex in someone's body, finding God, multiple mutinies, and storyline that crawl along. Seriously, soaps have faster progressing stories.
TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion yes but soaps are shit all of them without acception, soaps are sopposed too represent the culture and community they are set in even though they are ffiction, but its all bollocks. Nearly all telly now is all geared towards the mainstream public that wouldn't know decent viewing if it was streamed too them in thier sleep its all about dumbing the minds keeping people in total fiction that anything that could make people question about reality in general is brushed aside.
nihilityjoey 9 months ago
@TheTetrion I would rather wtch people in an ancient ship whineing over food than pat butcher in eastenders anyday of the week, and why? because i know the back story too why they are whineing on a ship in space. I am very much in to the u.f.o phenomena, and all other asspects of our existence, world and life in general and stargate in all its guises is infinatly more viewable from a realty asspect than fucking geordie slags trying too become celebraties.
nihilityjoey 9 months ago
@nihilityjoey True, but it should be balanced with some decent sci-fi stories, not episode after episode of somebody crying over something, or banging some guy, or whining about how horrible their existence is. Season 1 was all that, but season 2 reduced the 'soapy' aspects a bit, but I still found it tedious at times.

The plot was okay, i didn't like the drama though - i HATE drama.
Shame to see SGU go, because with it the franchise will probably go with it.
FuryOfTheBane 10 months ago
@FuryOfTheBane The franchise was dead before they even started SGU, as the network was desperate to get a slice of the 'gritty, reality show' pie. Even the producers said they were moving away from the 'Stargate' formula, and heading into 'dark drama' territory. Problem is that in their insane attempts to emulate BSG and reality show success, they ended up with some lame, melodramatic, soapy bastard child that was akin to a show about Hayden Christianson/Anakin Skywalker whiny ass, teen angst.
TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion I did end up watching season 2, and it was MUCH better than 1. That last sentence about Skywalker was a low blow, i loved his transformation into the dark side, but i wish it was more dark than 'feelingies'.
FuryOfTheBane 9 months ago
@FuryOfTheBane LOL, I'm about as subtle as a bulldozer. I agree season 2 was slightly better than S1, but it still suffered from an overload of soap, sappiness and melancholic melodrama. Seeing how it was a 'STARGATE' show, they used the stones more than the gate, and even screwed more times than used the gate. Still, we ended up with 'The View' in space, granted season 2 threw a few grenades at them, but it was still a bunch of hens clucking, on a lost spaceship.

Season 1 SGU < Season 2 SGA = SGA
After Season 1 I was like "WTF SGA WAS WAY BETTER" but after the writers saw their flaws the show got really interesting and entertaining in season 2, however dip shit fans that didn't give Universe a second chance are the once to blame for the shows failure., and oh to those upset crying atlantis babies:
ATLANTIS IS DEAD LIVE WITH IT CAUSE NOW YOU'VE BASICALLY KILLED THE FRANCHISE :***
okosoa 10 months ago 18
@okosoa Interesting? Entertaining? WTF were you watching, because it same old soap opera shit, as for dip shit fans, well you have to like a show to be a fan... Genius. The truth is that by the second season, the only ones watching the show were fans of the show, and even they didn't hang on. SGPoo lost one million fans over the course of the second season. So No it wasn't Stargate fans, but rather SGU fans and shitty writing that caused the show's demise. So it is really YOU who is to blame!
TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion
you are one of those fans that can't look at things with some distance, and chill out man I'm only sharing my opinion no need to antagonize me, to be a fan of not a show but a franchise is to have patience and "SGU fans" as you call them are the ones that are loyal not to the show but to the whole franchise.
okosoa 9 months ago
@okosoa Hey, you're the one who called them dipshit fans, and insinuating that SGA fans killed the franchise. I was only responding in kind. The truth is that your a fan, but can't admit that you are. It was that sense of delusional, self-loathing that was responsible for the creation of that reprehensible show. The truth is that patronising attitudes of both the producers and SGU fans to other stargate fans created the divide, but in the end was not enough to keep the show going.
TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion Plus most of the fans that came aboard for the show, were actually 'gritty, drama' fans that didn't know or care for the franchise in the first place. They were there only for the melodrama, darkness and T&A. Don't believe me, take a look at some of the reviews posted on IMDB, gushing on and on about the superiority of the 'mature' drama of SGU in comparison to the 'immature cheese' of the rest. Face it SGU was NEVER STARGATE, but a poor attempt to cash in on a successful franchise.
TheTetrion 9 months ago
@TheTetrion while blatantly stealing ideas from other successful shows, resulting in a contrived, pathetic and a disgusting mess of a show. Much like Caprica. Only difference was that the ones running the show were too arrogant and prideful to admit that it was a steaming turd and needed fixing, and decided it was the SG1/SGA fan's fault. So what we ended up with was another Enterprise season 1-3, Heroes S2-6, Caprica S1 etc.
TheTetrion 9 months ago
they were stranded on the other side of the Universe, thats why it was called Stargate Universe.
rageagaintstheNWO 8 months ago
@okosoa yes I agree. For example: SG1's first episode is like a low-budget-TVseries (and reviewer says only kids would love to watch it (wikipedia)), but then after several season SG1 became epic like we know today. -People who complain too much should go watch SG1's first episode and judge why their excessive bashing is wrong and not productive...
xponen 8 months ago
@okosoa Um, actually it was the production team that killed the franchise. They not only ignored their target demographic completely (but somehow picked up a bunch of idiots who think that injecting the more pathetic and foolhardy elements of human nature into a TV show makes it more entertaining as fans) and then blogged about how they blamed the longtime fans for SGU's failure. Sorry there, Wright, Malozzi, et al. WE didn't make SGU. They did. And it was their fault. Period.

Baseshocks 5 months ago 2
@Baseshocks Well, let's be fair. Season 2 saw some improvement, since the main characters lashed out at each other a little less and actually worked as a team. Wright and Mallozzi also fell back on exactly what they claimed they wanted to avoid in the form of English-speaking humans being encountered "out there". Yes, I know they were descendants of an alternate timeline version of Destiny's crew, but they were still English-speaking humans. Aside from trash like "Cloverdale" and "The Hunt"...

My "attemping to give a fuck" meter and "fun-o-meter" were both quite low watching SGU.
Even when there was danger and everything, if the ship was destroyed I would of been somewhat happy.
Sadly very formulaic and forgettable, just describe what Stargate Universe is about and you realize how derivative and forgettable it is.

Your gay.
Atlantis was so much better. I don't think the shows should get over dramatic the SGU but the characters need to get together.
But this video was hilarious.

@TheTetrion Sg-u: Action, Adventure, Drama, Mystery, Sci-fi.
get it right man.
DreadnusNX01 11 months ago
TheTetrion 11 months ago

I agree there were those moments in that movie, but not half as many and it seemed like they were moving away from it.
hellmagefire 1 year ago
I really would like to see what happens in sga. theres so many loose ends. Like what happened to the daedulus, sun zu, and apollo? they were crippled in the last episode. And most importanly what happens to Atlantis? do we keep it on earth or send it back to the pegasus galaxy. plz help save sgu so we can find out, i seriously miss some real stargate
dasaxophonist 1 year ago
@dasaxophonist Mate, you must be desperate to be spamming an anti-sgu video with 'save sgu campaign', or severely retarded. What illicit substance are you on to think I would ever WANT to save SGU??? Oh, that's right some twisted logic to try and resurrect Atlantis... Ha! with the demented hacks running the show now, I wouldn't want to Atlantis to return, with them at the helm. Plus, they have indicated that they're done with Atlantis. C'mon it wasn't even that good, Space Vampires--- Yawn.
TheTetrion 1 year ago
@TheTetrion to stoop low and start name calling only shows how immature you are. second im guessing your not a real stargate fan so i might understand you a bit. and lastly i was putting facts on the table because you people seem to be mis-informed that if sgu got cancelled the franchise would still continue. I for one hated sgu, it seemed to ruin the franchise. but as i read some spoilers that destiny was on a mission to investigate the big bang theory, the show was getting to some potential
dasaxophonist 1 year ago

TheTetrion 1 year ago
@TheTetrion yeah, because you certainly dont act like one the way you critisized sga. and not everything is black and white. there is such a thing as loyalty. like i for one didnt like sga a bit when it first started, but i gave it a chance and on season 4 and 5 it got totally better(thats my opinion). And its called a spoiler because it hasnt happened yet. what they will find will be relevant to the big bang theory, and possibly its creator.
dasaxophonist 1 year ago

Nor do I like arguing over the internet
dasaxophonist 1 year ago
@dasaxophonist Nope, blindly supporting a brand, makes you a fanboy. Appreciating a show for its merits makes you a fan. Understand there is a clear difference.
TheTetrion 1 year ago
@TheTetrion Interesting. I didnt know there were categories for types of fans. And star trek was good, but thats another topic. And IMO its respect thats has to be earned, you have to give some to get some. Like lets say another member of your family asks for help, do you help them because they've earned loyalty or just because their family? its the same with our military, there loyal to Americans just because were American. theres more to it than that but you should get my point

@dasaxophonist AND DR. WEIR. All cold and lonely in space...
limeburst1 11 months ago
we all can agree season 1 of the show sucked bad. there were a few good episodes however, like the first episode air part 1, and the first episode of the foot hold situaton where the lucian alliance got aboard destiny(one of the best foothold scenarios in the franchise) The show was finally getting somewhere though and because of the cancellation we dont get the stargate movies. So plz if you want a sga movie plz suck it up and help save sgu
dasaxophonist 1 year ago
@dasaxophonist Atlantis is over, Period. No amount of sycophantic arse kissing the producers will bring it back. I don't know what planet your on, but no amount of support for one show will EVER bring back another. I will NEVER support the twitching, retarded abortion that was SGU, and have no interest in EVER bringing it back. In fact, I'll sign the online petition to keep it canceled and away from the TV screen. It's dead, and that's the way it should stay FOREVER.

For those who don't understand, Token Slut = Chloe; Lt BeefCake = Lt Scott. I wish I could make more, but xtranormal now charges for movie production. I make another, but just as I finished it, they started their fees.
TheTetrion 1 year ago
That made no sense and was poorly made. In other words, very authentic!
