  • JAM!!! Damn!!!!! ;)

  • to good.

  • I dont usually like videos of the jam sessions that stem from the induction ceremonies, but this is AWESOME.

  • @theplourde To say the least.

  • Pearl Jam + Neil Young = Totally Fucking Awesome! Pearl Jam collaborating with Neil Young is one of the better things that happened in rock history. Although Eddie/PJ are huge, its amazing to see how Eddie is in awe having Neil on the same stage with them :)

  • I fucked up again

I think most everyone can relate to this song at one time or another

  • good shit menard!

  • He liked them so much he made the excellent " Mirrorball " album with the band.

  • Love the jamming here. Awesome upload, thanks. Neil seems to like jamming with these guys.

  • what would be Neil's most hard rock album?

  • I'd really have to say Ragged Glory.

  • This is Neil Young's best song.

  • not really but its one of the best of his songs

  • whatever.

  • I'd say old man, heart of gold and keep on rocking ~

  • in your opinion what is his best song

  • NEIL & LESLIE WEST. < THAT IS _NOT_ an ARGUMENT. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

  • What a man, what a legend...

  • Eddie's having a moment at the end there

  • Gotta love Neil Young :D

  • Look at neils sideburns thats a good days growth for him

  • those arent his side burns they are old mans ear hair

  • i was up untill 5:30 am beatin myself up thinking over and over why the fuck do i keep fucking up!!?

so i googled it, found this song.....and i'm still pissed off at myself...but atleast I can relate to this and let off some steam rockin to this awesome music

  • That's awesome.

  • this guitar riff is sooooo good

    very underrated, imo

  • who gives a shit what they're wearing, their kickin ass with neil young live, I think they have been around long enough to choose what they wear, but thats just my opinion, fuckin good song

  • the riff reminds me on Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult.

    Pearl jam &neil young ROCk!!!

  • doesn't sound like reaper at all

  • it's just like the first few notes of the reaper riff

  • who came first? those guys were still in soiled diapers when Neil started playing. And, who's still standing? Maybe you just don't get it...that's OK.

  • Eddie is a vet at this point, what younger acts (if any) would he want to jam with today?

  • nine black alps please.

  • Somewhere else, not here.

  • He has spoken, LET IT BE DONE!

  • What's up wit Jeff Ament's bass & clothing? He just doesn't look like he fits in. What was he thinking that night?

  • ya neil young and pearl jam went on mtv and said "fuckin" that is how music should be. they dnt care cuz they badass. try doin that jonas brothers.

  • @BIGal0811 ahhahaa

  • Epic!!!!

  • neil just kicked my ass. god damn. this happens every time.

  • Neil, U R great, ALWAYS & FOREVER. And Pearl Jam was best-band-EVER at Bonnaroo 2008. Eddie Vedder is SOOO talented, yet he's never had a swollen head, no ego, just a great musician and a great person.

  • Crazy Horse is a perfect example of rock n roll being about expression rather than technique. They are sloppy as hell, I don't think they know 4 chords, the beat is all over the place, but rock songs sound best when played by them.

  • @goodmorningcapt1 rock and roll is about not giving a real shit sometimes....its like fucking up from time to time...fuck A + musicians, i'm with you bro

  • neil couldn't of asked it any more clear

  • The only way to FUCK UP!

  • Neil showing how to play the " grunge " rock he created 25 years earlier. Love eddie in the back ground just soaking it all in.

  • thats not neil young and pearl jam, thats Neil young Crazy horse and Pearl jam!!!!

  • missed this show ! fuck. But saw Pearl Jam in 92 in Gimli, Manitoba. Yah!

  • Eddies having the time of his life.

  • my theme song. thank you, neil young...

  • I'd much rather listen to Neil play than Steve Vai or Zack Wylde etc. These guys may be technically great, but they lack the soul and passion of Neil. These things at the end of the day are the only things that count, I don't care how many notes you can play in a minute

  • Anybody that has anything bad to say about Neil don`t know Jack shit. He has written and recorded more songs than most of you snot noses are old. Great wtiter, great guitarists, great singer !!!! Rock on Neil !!!!

  • "how does he do that crunchy squealing at"

I'm not really sure but I think it's a combination of his wet reverb+delay use and pinch harmonics. I haven't got any better idea.

  • tube amp all dials on 10

  • Or actually 12 :D

    Fender amp you know...

  • He's a genius - he invented that foot box contraption he uses.

  • really good!! but see just jamin' - it's something like that

  • really good but vs just jaming' - it's something like that

  • The thing is, if you watch Neil playing guitar (especially during his solos) you'll see why is actually an amazing guitar player and not a bad one:

He plays with so much emotion that what he is expressing-anger,intensity, pure love for his music-comes through to mot people who listen to him. That's why more people like him than dislike him.

Now people should clarify and say technically he's not extremely sound, but as a guitar player in general he's right up top.

  • neil is my favorite artist of all time i will be honist he is amazing on writing songs and has an amazing voice but the only thing that anybody could possibly say bad about him his his electric guitar playing isent the best but other than that he is GREAT =]

  • Neil and PJ toured together in 93 and get along famously.

It was Eddie that coined "Godfather of Grunge"

    so there U go.

  • koperman1019 your are a doushe bag =]

  • You seem like a guy who would agree that Neil Young is not the Godfather of Grunge,he's the King of Rock and Roll!!!

You see not everyone knows the difference between shit and shinola.

We have to make allowances it would seem!

  • srry Neil***

  • hahah u can tell half the song eddie is just sitting back any enjoying niel doing his thing...they are both amazing =]

  • eddie's the man !!

  • eddie is sure the man. You can really see how he enjoys to perform with neil. But in my point of view he owns neil in singing skills.

One of the best live performances ever...

  • Semtex85 says: in my point of view he (eddie) owns neil in singing skills.

True.. and so does Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. But Neil Young is better than any of them because he's Neil Young.

  • frank sinatra and tony bennett are no ones

  • "More entertainment comin' your way" That is classic. one of the best performances I've seen. Eddie kinda looks like he's trying for the cover of "Aqualung", but god this is great!

  • not cool to edit out grate music if you have a problum with the word thats responsuble for bringing you into this world lison to the beatles

  • take your prozac

  • @neilfan68 emmm....guess who cares about PJ? try Neil Fucking Young, a host of legends and current artists including Pete townsend, ben harper and the boss and their last album at number one. Nirvana sucks balls and the ones that liked "nevermind" the most were vh1 trash whores like you...fucking nobodys with bellow average lifeless youtube channels and shitty lives. Neil young cares for them and it counts, sales and polls are some of the proofs.....your opinion? not likely, dipshit

  • I post comments about what I think some other dipshits care about. I guess i am one of you though. My point is that i suck just as bad as the rest of you all. So let's all go fuck ourselves for writing comments on youtube!

  • but mr. young is still awesome no matter how bad we all suck shorts for talking about it on youtube.

  • First off, I want to clarify by saying that a lot of people post messages that 'shit' all over other people's messages just to be dicks.

So, I am in no way tryihng to be a dick, but I must say something:

    (continued in the posting below)

  • What's point in arguing over eddie or neil's place in grunge? Both have a ton of music that can't be described as grunge. The whole concept of putting a label on something like 'grunge' or 'metal' or 'rock' is turning an artistic expression into a marketable commodity.

To talk about 'grunge' (I am in no way picking specifically on grunge) as a distinct music genre is to see the artists music or music in general in such a narrow lens that something meaningful will get lost in the translation.

  • i am not try to insult your opinions, but two gods? I keep hearing this shit. if anyone of the 2 should put in the category of gods in this case(especially concerning those of grunge)it should be neil: well over 40yrs (LONGEVITY) of major influential music leading to a major influence on grundge , perhaps the most influential singer/songwriter running neck/neck with Dylan. Come on folks it takes alot more than 10 years of hits to become an icon except with very rare exceptions.
