  • How can he be so calm about all of this? I would be flipping shit!

  • what country is this commercial from? in the u.s thats a liberty, cherokee was canceled in 2001, didnt know overseas they still called them cherokee's.........

  • @deliveryboy1

This commercial ends displaying a country-specific Jeep website at the end which indicates South Africa.

I mentioned earlier that the commercial is mostly mirrored to make it look right-hand drive - down to the guy's wedding ring on the right hand. They adjusted the Jeep logo on the steering wheel and the stereo display.

  • @deliveryboy1

Also - it says the video was posted by "Jeepsouthafrica", which should be a clue. ;)

  • @ypw510 aaahhh, you are much more perceptive than i.... thanks-

  • I just kept saying "WTF?!" throughout the ad. It's a little too odd, indeed.

  • Ha ha ha - Wolf is the best beast !!!!

  • 4 people don't have a sense of humor.

  • llllllllllllllllove this commercial.. the wolf always gets me =D

  • ahh the American version is better..the wolf has a better voice..

  • the wheel is on the wrong side!!

  • @Clarityfrost thats because its not im america.

  • @corvetteboy10 I know, it was a joke.

  • i loled when the wolf started singing

  • the songs rock me genetly 1974 i think

  • i love good old 90s 4x4...,...why not more REAL OFFROAD suv ? New ones just look like all they other and look like mini van with low suspensionbut with awd......

  • the wolf has a sweet voice lol

  • Is this identical to the American commerical?

  • @Mondafied flipped around so the drivers side is on the other side. Outside the US the Jeep Liberty is called the Cherokee (even though it's different from the original jeep Cherokee in design--which is why it's called the "new" Cherokee in the commercial)

  • Ause' Jeeps koo...

  • too cute

  • for wats supposed to be an all american car the steering wheel is on the wrong side....

  • I really love this commercial

  • The Wolf sings better in this then the U.S commercial

  • lol...this is very funny

  • I bloody love this ...... impossible not to smile !!!!

  • Does it matter if it's shot left or right drive....... It's flippin fantastic, proper feel good factor !!!!

  • Wow the Wolf sounds great

  • Why would Jeep give call it a Cherokee there, but here they are Liberty's??? They should have all been called Liberty's as they don't deserve the name Cherokee after the first XJ's!!! JMO!!!

  • Actually, I think Jeep has just brought back the Cherokee name.

Good thing, as the (feminine) Liberty was an insult to the Cherokee lineage.

  • Why the hell the dropped the Cherokee from US lineup and keep the name in other markets.. Cherokee is a great name and great compliment to the Wrangler.

  • I wish the world really was like this ! I think it's so beautiful how the animals all get along ! I love the song!

  • I can't get enough of this commercial.

  • The squirrel sings better in this one. The other one he sounds bad.

  • Lol I like it more than the version I see here in the U.S. Seeing him on the right side threw me off for a second though

  • where's mud? new cherokee looks like pimp cars

  • everything is on a different state

  • woah hes on the right side of the car here lol

  • arica

  • y does the squirrel sound like a chipmunk

  • Anybody else think the guy is cute?

  • hellllllllllllllllllllll yeahhhhhhh

  • I like this one a lot more than the North American version. You can hardly hear the wolf in the other one :(

  • You're right, Rapture, this version has more flow. Yet 240,000 fewer views! That's so unfair.

  • Proving why Europe is Better than the States.........and i actually live in California

  • I love the singing wildlife, but the wolf eating the bird is startling! Glad he coughs it out.

  • The song is Andy Kim's Rock Me Gently.

    #1

  • This is a great advert Nice one Jeep

  • haha love this comercial

  • whats this song called?

  • This is such a great, fun commercial. My personal thought though, it's a shame they didn't use Andy Kim's voice singing his own song, as JEEP did in the original commercial that aired in North America the past year.

  • isnt this called the new liberty wish they would make cherokee

  • You are $20 richer! Andy Kim sung it apparently (google)! In 1974 he released it. But apparently Neil Diamond covered it as well. It appears that there was a bit of comment that they sounded similar and eventually ND released a version later.

I love this advert. It has recently started playing here in NZ. Oddly though, while we drive on the left, we don't have the same advert. Our one is with the driver driving on the right hand side of the road. typical :)

  • i wish i lived in NZ. thats new zealand right? place is frickin awesome, you have the lord of the rings, peter jackson, flight of the conchords, all good things come from new zealand. my cousins go there once every few years. they drove onto the set of LOTR and they got PISSED.

  • Does anyone know who sings the song (originally)??

My sister thinks it's Neil Diamond. She owes me $20 bucks if she's wrong.

  • Love it. I drive a RHD vehicle and use my

right hand for steering, left hand for gear

change, and indicator/wiper stalks are on the

correct side of steering column. It's not

a Jeep, but a Toyota Hilux.

    Just loved that add though.

  • Bizarre...they flipped the images. Is this a commercial for overseas where they drive on the other side of the road?

  • Um no it an ad for Jeep probably here, where we drive on the left side of the road unlike overseas. But that doesn't stop Chrysler not bothering to spend an extra $50 to swap the indicator lever to same side of the steering wheel as every other vehicle in the country while they are moving it to the other side of the vehicle.

  • Most of the ad seems to be mirror imaged from the US version, down to his wedding ring shifting from the left to right hand. The stereo controls are completely mirrored although they corrected the display. Jeep on the steering wheel is also corrected. Someone pointed out to me that his watch disappears too. As for the Cherokee name - American carmakers use well known names for different cars in overseas markets all the time.

  • yes it is for a country where they drive on the left hand side of the road. oddly, they also altered the squirrel's voice, it not audible of different from the track in the north american version.
