The best protection for a biker is to OBEY THE RULES OF THE ROAD!
There are pedestrians, drivers and bicyclists who don't obey the rules and thereby create accidents.
The rules of the road are for EVERYONE, not just everyone else.

@OtherNative what about the people who are riding responsible. i was hit from behind on a turn on my arrow when they shouldn't have been making a turn. that person was not paying attention.at end of the day drivers cause more collisions. drivers need to use defensive driving which means paying attention. Most accident just might not happen if drivers are aware of their surroundings.
