It's out now! If you don't have the jailbreak yet, Download Redsnow 9b10 and don't download corona! Just leave it!
If you have a Tethered jailbreak now, go download Redsnow 9b10 and then jailbreak your 5.0.1 Jailbreak, and then go to your cydia, search for "Corona" and Corona 5.0.1 untether should come up.. and install that so your idevice is untethered! Hooray!

Question for any of you. I am on a jailbroken iphone 4 on 4.2.1 and am trying to upgrade to 5.0.1 because I need a new battery and I'm still under warranty. Anyways, I can't upgrade nor restore. When I try to upgrade to 5.0.1 it brings up error 3194 and when I try to restore to 4.2.1 unjailbroken it brings up error 1. I've already done all the things to fix those errors but still nothing. I have an iPhone 3GS (New Bootrom), Baseband: 06.15.00. Current firmware: 4.3.3 (I messed up having 5.0.1 and went back down with a SHSH Blob etc).
I want to just give up trying to have a Jailbroken iPhone for now. I will pay T-Mobile to unlock my phone. Once I do this can I restore to 5.0.1 and use it like normal (non-jb).
I've heard anyone with 06.15.00 can never restore via iTunes like normal anymore. Any suggestions if this is correct?

SOLUTION for me anyways ;)
STUCK AT 'WAITING FOR REBOOT'
Download the 5.0.1 IPSW [Google.] - Turn off iPod before opening redsn0w [what i did.] then go to 'extras' when you first open redsn0w and go to 'Select IPSW' then select the 5.0.1 IPSW, then go back, to main tab, and jailbreak [DFU, then go on as normal.]
REDSN0W HAS STOPPED RESPONDING:
Put redsn0w as compatibility to XP [some say windows 95 option works] and Run as admin, and hope for the best.
Sorry if this didnt work. Worked for me.

Hey guys. If you're already tethered 5.0.1 jailbreak just look up 5.0.1 Untethered in Cydia. When you do get your ipod up and running though go over to the appstore and download "App Trailers"
I got a code from them that gives a free 10$ itunes giftcard, Pretty boss. Just enter "redeem7gift0" when it asks you to redeem a code. You will thank me for it.

It's out now! If you don't have the jailbreak yet, Download Redsnow 9b10 and don't download corona! Just leave it!
If you have a Tethered jailbreak now, go download Redsnow 9b10 and then jailbreak your 5.0.1 Jailbreak, and then go to your cydia, search for "Corona" and Corona 5.0.1 untether should come up.. and install that so your idevice is untethered! Hooray!
Ipad 2 and Iphone 4s Does not work with the jailbreak.

@000efka the ios 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak is already finished for the ipod touch 4g and other A4 devices like: iPhone 4, ipad 1, and etc. and will be released when IOS 5.1 public firmware is released. The IOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak is not finished for A5 devices like iPhone4S and iPad 2, but pod2g is working on it. You can follow him on twitter @pod2g to get any updates on when it will be finished and released.

Question for any of you. I am on a jailbroken iphone 4 on 4.2.1 and am trying to upgrade to 5.0.1 because I need a new battery and I'm still under warranty. Anyways, I can't upgrade nor restore. When I try to upgrade to 5.0.1 it brings up error 3194 and when I try to restore to 4.2.1 unjailbroken it brings up error 1. I've already done all the things to fix those errors but still nothing. Some help please?

I have an iPhone 3GS (New Bootrom), Baseband: 06.15.00. Current firmware: 4.3.3 (I messed up having 5.0.1 and went back down with a SHSH Blob etc).
I want to just give up trying to have a Jailbroken iPhone for now. I will pay T-Mobile to unlock my phone. Once I do this can I restore to 5.0.1 and use it like normal (non-jb).
I've heard anyone with 06.15.00 can never restore via iTunes like normal anymore. Any suggestions if this is correct?

@guymassive we can on the new redsn0w 0.9.9b9 but it is tethered unless u have a iphone 3gs old boot rom or ipod touch 3g then it is untethered. IF u are talking about jailbreaking ios 5.0.1 on the iPhone 4S or iPad 2 u cant right now but they are working on it.
