8 Gold medals in one olympic game and to take more gold medals than anyone else in history is a big accomplushment. But I don´t know any other type of athlete that can take 8 medals in one olympic game than a swimmer. Take the korean womens archeryteam that won the gold medal from 1988-2004 that´s 5 consecutive wins.

Agreed, plenty of other famous athletes have been on SNL and are horrible at acting, but they are athletes not actors. Chris Farley was amazing on SNL, and I bet he would sink like a rock in a pool.

They probably had it made before the Olympics even started. So had he not won the gold medal it never would have been shown. They knew what history he was going for. This kind of thing is normal. Same thing with Super Bowl winners commercials.

Michael Phelps has a more unique talent that Roger Federer has, and even if Federer tried swimming he would never be able to get close to what Phelps did. Roger Federer isn't even the best in his sport, many people argue, whilst Phelps is by FAR the best in his field.

Michael Phelps is better than Federer because Michael can do what humans weren't designed to do...swim. Humans were not given gills, fins etc but not only can Michael swim, he does it so gracefullly and with record speed! Consider also that the majority of humans CAN'T swim! Michael is phenomenal in his sport. Anyone can swing a tennis raquet!

8 Gold medals in one olympic game and to take more gold medals than anyone else in history is a big accomplushment. But I don´t know any other type of athlete that can take 8 medals in one olympic game than a swimmer. Take the korean womens archeryteam that won the gold medal from 1988-2004 that´s 5 consecutive wins.

Naxegy- its not fair to compare phelps and usain, they do completely different sports but if u had to compare them.
1. most gold medals in 1 olympic? Phelps
2. most total gold medals? Phelps
3. More world records set? Phelps
4. If phelps was to run the 100m and usain was to swim the 100m: phelps running time would be closer to usain's running (even if he ran a slow 15 secs). Usain's swimming would be way further off than phelps swimming records.
