  • Yay for us cotton heads! My hair does clump on its own though when it's wet though. But i think you're the closet person I've found to my hair texture on YT! Thank goodness.

  • how long did it take you to do your entire head? your definition looks great! i love darcy's botanicals!

  • I am going natural right this helps

  • this product did really well on your hair. I have 3c/4a hai...look at my hair journey video and you can see what I am talking about. Do you think this will work on my hair??? I loooove how this made your curls look!!! Pretty!!! :)

  • Does it work without the conditinor

  • can you please try using unrefined whipped shea butter for a wash and go? i looked it up on google, but i found nothing. I want to try it, and see if anyone else has ever tried it. I can't afford products.

  • @xxmuzicchickxx She butter does not define a single curl in my hair at all, believe me when I tell you. It will just look like my afro with no curl. For someone that has a silkier texture, she butter may work but on my hair it is a no no.

  • @CoilsKinksCurls thanks for your thought on it! I'm thinking it might work for my hair because I have no curl pattern anyways. lol I have frizzy waves most similar to 4a hair. I am looking more for hold than for curl definition. I have never done a wash and go before. have you ever tried using flax seed gel?

  • Hi. I like your video. The front and the back of my hair is defined already without much help. Clumping pattern is not consistent either. Nice to hear someone else with the same experience. You also convinced me to give Darcy's Coil product a shot.

  • I love your reviews and u got me try'n evrthing lol love it !!! So do u still use this?

  • this product review was very helpful, thanks for your time. Take Care!

  • i love your hair! its very pretty :) i am going to try the leave-in conditioner. Thanks for posting.

  • I love dary's botanicals. My hair is 4a w/ some 3c parts. I have purchased every natural line out and I would like somethings in the line but not all of the items. When Dary Botanical's had the Black Friday sale right after Thanksgiving 2009 I purchased everythng full size containers and I didn't even spend $80.00. Everything I've tried in this product line works on my hair. I love the amount of product you get for your money also w/ Darcy's. Also, the packaging is so cute!

  • Yay for the folks w/ cottony hair! :) My hair is so undefined (wiry, puffy, cottony...I like that term) that I thought wash 'n gos were unachievable for me. I'll have to give this a try. Great style and good video!

  • Normally, I can't tell how soft someone's hair is by looking at it but your hair looks superrrrrr soft after it dried. Awesome curl definition! Great video!

  • Your wet hair is just like mine! Alot of women have hair like this that doesn't automatically clump, and they think they don't have a curl pattern...I didn't know about mine until a year ago

  • Yup! I found out about mine a little after I BC'd.

  • lotta work for this wash-n-go, no?

  • Yes but if you do it right it will last 3-4 days before you have to do it again!

  • My hair could take the whole jar of the Curling Jelly! LOL! I'm discovering, my hair needs a lot of product to behave :)

  • Your hair is very pretty. I love the word "cottony" hair. Your hair looks very soft and fluffy.

  • I wonder how good it is on transitioner's hair. My interest in natural products led me to your review. Thank you for the video.

  • really wavy :)

  • wanted to say thank you for the disc. coade. I ordered more prod from her and received almost 9 dollars off my order. be blessed sis!!

  • ok ..have to take back what I said to you about the natyral coils curling jelly...tried it on the weekend again and the curls were popping....was a little crunchy but spritzed with some greg juice and it was ok... love the leave in conditioners will be keeping those!!! keep on with the reviews ...

  • Thanks for the info. just got my product will be trying it this weekend. your videos are great and very informative. thanks.

  • Thanks for the review!!!!! Question? would you recommend the darcy's leave in conditioner for the condition only method? I like the condition only method and want a leave in that is good for the hair and meant to be left in.

  • It is a light conditioner but if you have a silkier texture then this could probably work for you. If your hair is really kinky like mine then your going to need a conditioner that is heavier. I would say try it because you may like it.

  • As A DB girl, I've found the Leave-In is great for moisturizing softness and detangling, but does ZIP for coil definition. I use the Transitioning cream under the Coil Jelly for max definition.

  • It doesn't define curls on my hair either but on my daughters hair is is amazing for curl definition. She has a silkier texture so it works great! I haven't tried the transitioning cream, gotta try that!! Thanks

  • how long did it take to dry? Did it take as long as KCCC?

  • about 4 hours

  • mine is just like urs (Cotton Head)

  • I heard that! "Cotton Heads" unite! (lol) I'm placing my first DB order now, thanks for the great review!

  • I have a problem with my hair/curls clumping when wet too...it really frustrated me, lol. Glad I am not the only one!

  • it looks amazing. super soft

  • oh my goodness, your hair looks so good! it really looks soft. i wanna touch it! lol :)

    i lub me some Darcy's!

  • I am stuck on the Daily Leave In. Leaves my hair super soft!

  • The conditioner should soften the coils but as far as loosening up the coils, probably not since it is very light. You will need something heavier to weight the hair down a little.

  • Girl, I'm going to be in the poor house watching your videos!! LOL!! I just bought some curling jelly...can't wait to try it out!!

  • lol, I just got my Afro Veda in the mail. I went to Whole foods 2 week ago. LOL!! I go to the salon tmrw still trying to decide if I let it grow out...or cut the remaining perm off. But I love her!!!! She makes it seem so doable!

  • LOL aww, I'm sorry! Now that I have found products I like I can slow it down now. Promise!

  • It still blows my mind what product can do. My hair is like a mixture of 4a and 4b and it's very very dense. Not to mention that I butchered my hair a totally of three times while attempting to trim. So you can only imagine how raggedy it looks without product. When I add product and brush my hair with my denman, my hair is turned into a mass or perfectly formed spirals, from teeny tiny pen spring sized coils to a little bigger. It just looks like two totally different heads of hair.

  • Thank you for the video! I will definitely give these products a try! Trying to find something cheaper than the KCCC!

  • Hello

Great video- thanks. I have to pick this up for my sister it looks great. I second your comments about the leave in conditioner it's lovely.

  • Does your sis have a channel here on YouTube, I am familiar with yours but wasn't sure if your sister was a younger sister.

  • Girl, I LOVE your shower curtains!! They are SOO cute!! :-D

  • LOL thanks! I got them from Walmart!!

  • You have convinced me. I dont like gel in my hair either. I think I am gonna give it a try. If I had to guess, my hair type is 3c in the top and 4a around the sides. How many days did this last?

  • I got 2 days of being able to wear it out, the 3rd day I wore it in a puff. That's it though, but that works fine for me!

  • I heart your tutorials. They are so informative and you explain everything so well.

  • there is hope for me....thanks for sharing, cause I am getting discouraged.

  • I think we all go through that once and a while. I am here if you need any help!!

  • What type hair do you have?

  • based on Andre's hair typing system I should be a 4B all over because when dry my hair has no curl pattern, but when wet and with products my hair clearly has a curl pattern that is a mixture of 3c & 4b. LOL I don't even know girl.

  • Yup you are definitely my hair twin!!!

  • LOL we have the same cotton like hair huh? :o)

  • Great review!

  • This is great i can't wait to go shopping when i'm in the us .

We don't have nothing in this country ;~(

  • Aww, maybe they will start to carry some of these products in other countries soon. Do you have a family member that can purchase and ship them to you?

  • I wish I had tried products like this before I got my sisterlocks installed.

  • Oh wow! Your not having second thoughts are you? I am sure your locks are gorgeous!!

  • No, no second thoughts. I have invested too much $ and time into my sisterlocks. I was just thinking about how I was never able elongate my hair and now I am seeing all of these demonstration videos on youtube.

  • Oh yeah, we just all of a sudden blew up YouTube and taking it by storm. The natural hair community here is crazy!! LOL

  • the product really defined your curl patterns.

  • I appreciate you showing us your true curl pattern....it looks like mine :)

  • Yes yes, I have nothing to hide which is why I make these vids. I don't want anyone getting discouraged just because of the texture of their hair.

  • I always appreciate and enjoy your product reviews!!! Thank You.....much Luv Your Fellow Cotton Head in Italy.

  • All the way in Italy, wow! Thanks for watching!!

  • I called mines broccoli, lol. I've never heard the cotton phrase

  • Broccoli, LOL that's cute!

  • I was looking for a way to describe my texture...cottony! Yay for the cotton heads! lol

  • Yup yup!!

  • Great review. Looking forward to trying this product.

  • LOL@ its drying because its hot. you are hilarious!!! Its time for you to get some endorsements, you've done so many product reviews.

  • It would be nice to get an endorsement but it is ok because I'm not doing them to get paid. I really just want our ladies to be informed consumers and know about good products that are out there for our hair. And yeah it was hot in my bathroom, that whole left side of my hair was dry in like 20 minutes, lol

  • Also, I am a "cottonhead" too! LOL

  • Gotta hold it down for the cotton heads girl!!

  • Great review...since you like matching scents, Karen's Body Beautiful is a good line to look into. You can customize or get unscented for all of the leave-ins, butters, creams, etc. Richeau did a good review of the line if you want specific info. I have several things and I LOVE KBB!!!

  • Thanks for explaining the cottony texture. I too have that texture and need products to clump my curls together. Thanks again for making that point.

  • I have come to terms with this and I am ok with it now. At first I was a little upset but then realized that I just have to use the right products for my hair.

  • Cotton heads, represent! Woot Woot!

    Nice tutorial.

  • LOL! Thanks so much for watching!

  • I stopped using the KCCC because of the price change, I like the Curling Jelly because I got soft defined curls. The curls are much softer than when I used the KCCC, the camera didn't do it justice and it was more defined that was was shown on camera. I like this product just the same.

  • you have such lovely and soft looking cottony hair..so pretty...looks gorgeous with or without product!...did you dry the new eco styler olive oil gel? everyone is saying how awesome it is..seems to have a very soft hold and less buildup..for $4 with such promising results..cant go wrong

  • Yes I actually have tried the Eco with the Olive oil in it, it gives a nice soft hold but I still get build up from it, so I end up needing to shampoo it in the middle of the week instead of getting a full week out of a style. Thanks again for the compliment and for watching!!

  • Sister you are a part of my family now, my sister and I love you, she had her big chop 2 months ago and I told her about your channel,WE LOVE YOU!!!! now she is up all night like me watching your videos she is in VA and I am in ATLANTA, and we are on the phone did you see her video:) thanks for the tutorial love you!!!

  • LOL OMG you guys are too funny! That is so sweet to say. I am so glad I am helping you and your sis! Tell your sis congrats on her BC, and I appreciate both of you following me on my hair journey!! Be Blessed!

  • thanks again for sharing your thoughts on product, i may try the jelly on your word cause a $30 spot plus s&h is a hurt piece. now get this..the circles on your shower curtain look like black hoop earrings on certain clips of the video when ur face sits between them. it was kinda funny. take care.

  • another great and helpful vid! Do you like these better than the Afro Veda products? is this more moisturizing and has better hold?

  • I don't use the AfroVeda products for wash n gos, only for my twists and braids so I like this for wash n go styles, these products serve different purposes for me.

  • Thanks for showing your hair without product. The bottom of my sides and from the crown to the nape curl, the top is sooo cotten like and one section just doesn't curl unless I load it down with product. Thank you for showing this!

  • Love it! I'm glad you pointed out how your hair looks prior to defining the curl, after washing. Mine looks similar & I used to think I had no curl but found otherwise. Great results, I'll have to try this.

  • Thanks for the review. I'll have to check them out. I've got 4a/bcdefg hair. It was refreshing to see you talk about how your hair is without products. It actually made me feel a little better about my hair.... :D

  • LOL I know what you mean about having a whole bunch of different textures on one head. I want to keep it real, everyone is always saying how pretty my hair is but I wanted them to also see that my hair is a big cotton bal like many other natural women and I have to work with what I have also!! I am proud of my cotton hair to!! LOL

  • My texture is similar to yours. Very cottony in the front and curly in that small area of my nape. Thanks for sharing your tips.

  • i missed and hit the wrong button! ARRRGH!!.. ...great review!! I think im going to order those products. Your hair looks awesome!! :)

  • Thanks so much!

  • I'd been looking forward to this review. Thanks for doing it. Your hair looks cute, but then again, it always does.

  • Your too kind!
