You are deffinately on the Daniel Fisher Level of programming! I wish people or I should say serious programmers would embrace this 18 year old engine like you have! Best Kurz demo I have yet seen! @kerzwhile Well, it's just hobby for me, I'm more a technician than musician...

Thanks for the compliments !! The Kurzweil VAST is nice, but I'm not a real genius about programming it... I use here Sampled Keymaps, in stead of Genius VAST OSC coding... I did a try, but Sampled Keymaps are for better,

I used Highlife as VST Synth sampler or Sample Robot for Hardware synth Sampling, Awave as converter sf2 to Krz, Kurzfiler to convert it to compact keymap, and maybe G-Tune to tune the keymap, :o)

Well, if yOu have v3.87 for the K2000,

you can open the .K26 files in stead of loading it,

and select the programs you wanne load...

@StephenM606 : I've tried with k2k 3.87 calvin and everything was fine, I could load these files without any problem.

The hardest thing was figuring out how can I make a kurzweil cdrom (KCDmaker+imgBurn).

KCDMaker is indeed not that easy to use....

I'm using a 2GB and 1GB Jazz, 4GB Scsi,

a Plexwriter 4/2/20 and Zip drive is also connected

The pads and Trance lead are coming from the K2661, the bass and drums not..

AWESOME VIDEO!!! I listened to it countless times with a big grin on my face. I know this is just a demo nothing polished or anything but just the amount of potential. I always had a feeling it was there, but nobody bothered to show it until now.

It's also a trick to 'Open' the melody..

(The Bass goes lower and the lead goes higher

or stays the same..)

I guess,

if the Motif XS has sample memory,

these keymaps will almost sound

the same on every synth...

Sure the Kurz Program settings are tweaked,

but the OSC (here the sampled keymaps) are the most important I guess !!

YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH!!! This is the kind of stuff i've been looking for and talking about in all the Kurz videos i've left comments on. FOR MANY YEARS people brag about the SPECS and how MASSIVE and GREAT the VAST engine is yet NOBODY PROGRAMS stuff like this. EVERYTHING is Dream Theatre, one man orchestras, and grand piano. If your capable of importing and programming ACCESS VIRUS, and DSI PROPHET 08 KEYMAPS or similar sounding, that would be COLOSSAL!!!

The Best Way is by making OSC Keymaps

for the Kurzweil VAST I guess !!

It's a little bit of work,

but there are nice tools out there!

Before, I never got a good Supersaw by

detuning the standard saw keymaps...

It was always to rational,

sounded always like a kurzweil...
