Really wierd, the first time I played Gears 1 I thought it was fun, but hated that there was almost no story and basically just seemed like 4 mindless guys walking around shooting stuff. After reading all the books I played through the series again and there's all these little nuances in the characters and the way they look at the world. Felt like a completely different game..

And the sawed off is not stupid because if your good with the gnasher or even pinning the guy down in a tight spot, then his running gunning strategy will fall every time. I'm guessing you mindlessly run around corners and don't take actual precautions before engaging enemy targets do you?

@reexpertise Yes, I do take precautions, but there isn't much you can do when people get the gun and sit in corners with it waiting for you. They make sure its a small corner so there is no space to stand back and use an assault rifle. Granted, if you use a gnasher you can sometimes beat out the person but with the gnasher you actually have to aim, whereas if someone is using a sawed off, they just shoot in your general direction and they kill you.

@reexpertise Your best chance of killing someone with a sawed off is when they shoot at you and miss, then they have a long reload time and that is your chance. Giving the sawed off 2 shots would eliminate that advantage. A person is already using a gun that kills in 1 shot, and you don't even have to aim with it. You think they should give people a second chance should they miss with a gun you don't have to aim with?

@cryoutBenehime Here's the thing though, even if they get 2 shots what would it matter? the gnasher actived (and having 4 times the ammo in this case) can down or gib enmies within five feet, where it takes 3 feet (or 4 feet active) to kill a potential target. Second this is a game built on teamwork. You might win on it being 1v1 or sudden death perse, but in a typical Gears match, a good team would be able to flank targets and force the targets out into the open more than usual

Unless you are playing with friends, you will probably wind up with people who never talk and run around doing their own thing. It is true that when you have a group working together, people with a sawed off don't do much, but that doesn't happen very often. Even if you do have friends to play with, they can't be on every single time you feel like playing Gears

Thats the enemies fault they made a stupid and grouped too close when it was not needed. When its solo, i agree, but because its more multiplayer based than its the complete opposite. People just dont react fast enough to take in the wall bouncing and instant blast effects because vets know noobies have slower reaction times than vet vs vet firefights

1. I didn't say anything about the sales and the population is very very low. Last I went on only 300 ayers world wide were playing beast. Most was TDM and that had 10000 players world wide

2. I hate call of duty, one of the worse games out there. I play space marine, skyrim, tf2 and more sound titles
