old man your a bitch that back seat wont ever have anyone in it. your a bitch. why would you complain about a god damn seatbelt..?????? just a reason to bitch huh?
John's right on. Yes, the back seat is a royal pain but let's face it, it will probably never be used anyway. I'm a Ford man through and through but that Cadillac Coupe will go down as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. It's drama, it proportionate, its manly, its aggressive and unique. Not like Subaru ugly unique, rather Auburn Cord Boat-tail unique. It's one of the only current cars that makes you want to own it! And I do!!!
This car is pretty much done right. But that sail panel as you pointed out makes for a huge blind spot. Cadillac should have thought about some sort of blind spot detection system.
They can all make seats more adjustable I think it is the focus groups that tell the designers most people place that at a low priority... that's just a guess based on the fact that every 1987 to 1993 Mustang GT had seats with adjustable length knee support, lumbar support, head rests, seat back angle and adjustable width lower side bolsters. All available in a "cheap sporty car" in 1987.
The guy who styled the CTS only used three tools to do so. He had a very precise titanium ruler, a number-four pencil, and a pencil sharpener powered by a 350CID small-block that runs ten hours a day to keep his pencil sharp enough. The only curves on that car are the wheels (including the steering wheel) and the fuel filler cap! Not to say that's a bad thing, in fact I like it, but it's quite over-the-top.
McElroy is right about the seat cushions, a couple years back I sat in a CTS and a VW and I actually was more comfortable in th Vdub why, the cushions weren't adequate (now I know its not just me) otherwise, GREAT CAR this will put some fear into the big German 3!!
i can't deny that the over look of the car it looks really nice i like it ! .. but in the same time I'm opposed with the automakers. as a luxury car that is going to be pricey. including to other competitors in the market the seat belt being in your way to the back seat it shows me that GM designers are always in a rush. they are not paying enough attention to a very simple details to the ride they make are not easy to deal with special when you look at the price tag
I'm gonna have to disagree with you John, I can't stand how high the trunk is on the CTS Coupe. I think it would look much better with a lower trunk and more of a break at the base of the back window. To me, it looks like it has a huge bulbous rear end, where coupes should have a slimming look to them. But it's all subjective anyways.

Comfort should be number 1, especially when you're paying $350000 +
