  • The only bark I hear is the neighbors dog. up the damn compression, your gunna kill that thing.

  • nice old truck guy i have a 76 chevy 4x4

  • @KuntryboyF150 you can put that front clip on a truck up to a 87

  • how much lift is on the orange and cream truck at the beginning of the video? its beautiful

  • Nice truck. Mines a '77 as well. I also see you have the heavier duty hauling package with the campers special. That 4.10 in the rear really lets her have high torque in low gears. Does yours have a muncie transmission in it as well?

  • if you want a round nose just buy one instead of converting lots of timewill be saved there cheaper anyway...time is money!

  • im doing an 80 2wd crew cab to 86 front clip and elec doors right now ,and... converting to 4x4 first off, have a donor truck!! yes frame has to be angle cut for newer bumper, wiper shafts are longer on square body, cowl has 1 fender hole on older, new has 4 for hinges, cowl has to be notched for cowl vent piece, for mounting, harness also for lights sliced into or swapped out,any Q&A im here...

  • i would say thats a crawl in and fall out rig there lol

  • nice truck

  • What is the paint code for the blue and white two tone

  • all u guys are stupid u have to change the core support and finders and the bumper off the 86 will fit them u have to change the hood too

  • you need a bed though

  • Nice fucking truck

  • @KuntryboyF150 It would but you wouldnt be able to use the year correct bumpers on the 86, the frames on the 73 to 79 are rolled in the front and 81 to 87 are angle cut. so you would have a non matching bumper

  • @CustomDeluxe1984 i got a 76 customdeluxe

  • nice 14 bolt full floater both my truck have them nice truck

  • what size lift and what size tires

  • how does the truck do power wise with the 4 10 gears? im building a 84 3/4 ton chevy and im going with 6" suspension and 3" body lift with 38s. but im only running a fresh 355 not built up or anything.

  • @KuntryboyF150 I've done that swap a couple of times, and its pretty easy. You'll have to take the windshield cowl off because the 73-80 has the cowl built into the hood. You'll need fenders, hood, radiator support and you'll also need to change the windshield wiper legs that the arms slide onto because the 81-87's are longer and it will hit the hood on a 73-80 front clip.

  • God bless Oregon! One Perdy truck!

  • i see u been doin burnouts..lol theres rubber on the back of the cab

  • Majorly awesome rig! curious about some stuff about it. What t-case are yall running? ratio of the case? what axles? looks like a dana 44 in front. you said the treads are 39's but what width? and finally, may I ask how much yall are into this build money wise. reason I'm asking is cause i have a truck, sittin on 38's with 6 inches of lift right now, but I wanna go a lil' bit bigger everywhere, i was thinking 12 inches and 40's or 42's

  • @KuntryboyF150 Husband says it should work. up to a 88 is probably the last year you could do it.

  • @imameanmomma 87 was for the trucks. but not for the blazer/ burban

  • very nice looking and sounding truck. is it street legal cus it looked like he was checking the lights or something in the beginning

  • wat size lift and tire

  • @MegaCamaroking 39.5 swampers and 10" lift.

  • @imameanmomma Yes, it's street legal.

  • bad ass man!!

  • some bad ass equipment on that machine.. very nice

  • what gears

  • Incredible, me encanta ! size of tires ? Felicitaciones, excelente camioneta / truck

  • thx. i didnt know youtube was a friendly zone.... :-)

  • @darkstarking666 It should be! Good luck with your project!

  • pretty good shape really, is it a 79?

  • @DriftedChicken '78.

  • im not tryin to ask much but is it a reliable motor? im gettin a 1980-1989 s-10. would it fit in the truck?

  • @darkstarking666 My husband says you can make it fit but the best is to find a small block 400 because it's ALOT of work to fit a big block in there. And yes, they are reliable...husband says they are 'damn near bulletproof'.....hope that helps.

  • i don't know who looks meaner the truck or the dude

  • 396 chevy motor. Most commonly in chevelles.

  • Sounds Awesome

  • nice fuckin truck

  • @darkstarking i left out the 307 i cant remember when it was made but it was unpopular. The most popular bore of the 350 is the 355 and 383 and the 406. The 396 was the smallest of the big block chevys but was by no means a slouch. It had the ability to fly through rpms like a small block but maintain high hp like the 427 and 454.

  • @darkstarking i wont go into the 200 zone of chevy v8s or the new engines but chevy made a 302 a LONG time ago but now ford has laid claim to it, 305, 327, and 350 for small blocks the 350 can be taken out to a 406 which is a beast. Big block chevys are 396, 406, 427, 442 (buick), and 454 the 454 can be taken out to well over 500s

  • so maybe its not a chevy motor? theres the 305, 350, 454, an 502 i think lol. is it a ford motor? that could be the reason i never heard of it?

  • @darkstarking666 no, its a chevy motor but its on the smaller end of the big blocks but not classed as a small block. I dont know how particularly common they are. I think the block is a '68 or '69.

  • @darkstarking666 i tried to link wikipedia to this comment page but it wouldnt let me. if you go to wikipedia and search big block 396, it gives you the scecs for the block itself.

  • @darkstarking666 chevy made a 396 bb it came out in chevelles and impala's in the 70's

  • can you tell me what a 396 big block is???? is it a 350 just bored?

  • @darkstarking666 No, a 350 is a small block. The 396 Big Block that I had in there was actually bored 40 over so it was a 402.

  • what model is that 79 or somthing

  • @heavychevy1414 1978

  • ...tell the truth, you're going to make him drive the compact car while you take off in the truck!!! =-) LOL (NICE TRUCK)

  • @BBCHEVY4X4 LOL, i would but all we own is 4X4's......

    Thanks for the comment!

  • needs cross steer

  • @bowtie7985 nope, does just fine without it really.

  • thank god for rednecks!

  • what cam is in it??

  • what are the cam specs and comp. ratio if you dont mind telling. btw very nice!!!

  • nice front axle....snap!

  • @landon460

hmmmm, snap? not even close to that happening and we drive it hard.

  • @imameanmomma u havent snapped it yet? lol impressive

  • swb? I hope it's a step-side! cool metal

  • @Willaz66 it is a step side. check out the other videos for how it looks now. its not painted yet but wll get there eventually.

  • shounds sweet kick ass truck

  • i am a big ford fan but damn i love old chevy's

  • Very nice truck. but you should have atleast hopped the blocks, its not like that thing could do it !!!!

  • Nice truck man

  • Yeah them are some nice trucks you got kickin there. Once the body's finished she will be PRIME.

  • she's gonna be pretty when she's done:) my buddy has one same colors and sounds alot like this one:) still great truck:)

  • Oh my goodness that is one beautiful truck.

    She sounds amazing.

What size lift and tires does she have?

I wish I had a yard full of Chevys instead of Fords...

  • @CowgirlHank

    Thanks. 10" lift and 39.5's.

  • I love your truck, it's a beast!

  • pretty girl at the end was cool. very nice truck. in michigan we take our beaters boggin, but our 'pretty girls' only see sand dunes!

  • Comment removed

  • Nice truck where in Oregon yall at thats my home state i might know yall haha

  • Roseburg. Where are you?

  • @imameanmomma im up in colton

  • @imameanmomma thanks

  • what year is the chevy on the left at 0:01

  • @pullinpete

I think it's a late 70's, early 80's. It belongs to a friend of ours.

  • @pullinpete It's a '76 ;)

  • Thats awesome, i got a 79 Chevy k20 4x4 that i plan to lift 4 inches after christmas, its got a 350 chevy small block with 35's.

  • Cubic inches has nothing to do with the physical size of the engine, MORONS XD

  • ok so tell me how its a big block???When 400ci and below used a small block

  • Pontiac made a 350 big block!

  • I like your title chevy big block 396....theres only one problem though and that is that a 396 is still a small...there small blocks all the way up to 400....otherwise i love the truck, i have a 95 3500 with a true big block the 454

  • r u tryin to say the 396 is a small block? just because its smaller than the 400 doesnt make it a small block

  • hey airhead0812 your a fucken idiot... 396 is a Big Block Chevy I think you missed that day at school son!

  • I showed my husband what you said about the 396 being a small block and he rolled his eyes. Sorry.

  • Hahahaha... are you for real? I cant believe what I just read! The displacement of the engine has noting to do with why its is or is not a big block. A 396 IS a big block dude... there's another big block that'll mess with your little rule and thats the 348.

  • Pontiac made a 350 big block!

  • @airhead0812 396 is and always has been "a true big block".

  • @om3gadagg3r

Eventhough they made a smallblock bigger.

  • @undercoverLsX They made small blocks with more cubic inches. (ie. 400 ect) but small blocks are a different block design than big blocks. Big block and small block is not about cubes at all. Also Big blocks are bigger, meaning more cast iron and larger in size. (not cubic inches ness)

  • nice truck man. sounds mean as hell. I havent had any problems with my dana 44, or my 10-bolt axles either.

  • wow, thats all i got 2 say about that

  • very nice mud machine,5 stars

  • that gave me a boner i got a 86 chevy k20 with a four inch lift

  • damn that sounds monster!!

  • Thank you!

  • dana 44 = 1/2 ton axle crap.

  • Well, like I said, suppose it's all in how YOU look at it. My axles are built to be worked pretty hard. Dana 44's are hardly crap but maybe you have had bad experiences with them, I have had literally no problems and this truck gets ran pretty hard. Who gets off on slamming someones choice in what they do to their trucks? I mean, really.

  • you could have the best ride ever and some asshole will always talk shit. love the ride!

  • Sooo true! Thanks for the compliment.

  • built huh? so what do ya have in them. they put d44's in 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks. they are not heavy duty axles. if you haven't had problems, then you don't run it hard, end of story.

  • When i bought this truck it was a complelty different truck, bed, cab, motor, everything. Every single thing on that truck was looked over, rebuilt, cleaned up and hooked up. It's a 3/4 ton truck, it's got 3/4 ton running gear..big deal and like i said, its far from puny. We run it every year in the mud drags, we mud bog it, we trail ride it.....never had a problem. We have lead feet but we have skill.

  • Also, if you think sooo badly of my choice in running gear, why is it that you have one of MY vids on your main YT page. That truck is hardly different than mine other than the shocks in the front. Same running gear my friend.

  • are those gumbo mudders?

  • No, I run 39.5's, swampers on the front and boggers on the back. In this vid, they are all swampers. If you look at the newer vids, they are the boggers. We ran pro-cut boggers on the back for the drag races and reg boggers on the front. It did awesome and cut thru the mud beautifully.

  • i was talking about the puny front axle.

  • It's a big hub 44. It's hardly puney but I guess it's all in how you look at it.

  • How much lift and what size tires? Thanks

  • 10" lift with 39.5's.

  • nice sway bar and 10 bolt.

  • I see we are neighbors... what are you going to do with your 396? and um, yeah, that big son of a bitch is way to big for the trails around here... is the blue truck doing the hill climb in " 4x4 Chevy Wheelin" the same truck?

  • Where are you at? I still have the block for the 396, I'm not gonna use it. I'm putting a 427 in it. The D stroke is scary for me....And yeah, it's the same truck in those videos. You can find me on myspace....search vernice Porter

  • thats a mighty sexy beast

  • Thank you very much! I think so too! Check out my other videos as we have already swapped out the motor with a D-stroked 400.

  • sick truck, what you paint the frame and axles with?

  • Just cleaned, polished, primered and sprayed black.

  • what year is this cuz it looks just like mine. i have a 77 with a 400 sm blk. nice truck man!

  • it's a 78. It did have a bored 40 over Big Block on it, but i crakced a piston. So now it has a d-stroked 400 in it. Wayyy tooo ballzy and alot of torque!

  • almost a shame to drive that in the mud, i would clean her up and but her in my garage and make sweet love untill it goes as i please ^^, THEN i could die a happy man

  • Yeah, I know.... I wasnt originally going to play dirty with it but the husband convinced me otherwise. It's been raced and we have fun with it but I think after this year it's retired from the mud. Hopefully we'll be able to paint it this coming year.

  • sweet truck man whats the runnin grear

  • Thanks! Dana 44 in the front and corp 14 in the rear.

  • Aqua Logging guys?

  • Why do people even compare fords with chevys? This is a mans truck Baud.

  • It might be a mans truck but a woman drives it and owns it. ;)

  • Do I here Flowmasters on that beast? That sounds mean.

  • i wouldnt even put a bed on that

  • It needed some weight added to it though, it was way light in the ass. We just rebuilt the florring in the step-side so now it really bites down and takes off. Adding boggers helped a little also.

  • sounds nice

  • Thank you!

  • FUCK NICE TRUCK MAN! best truck for mud;)

  • Thank you. She does really well in the mud!

  • good lookin truck,

How long are the front leaf springs and

how much arch are in the those front springs?

I'm in the process of doing a straight axle conversion on a 1994 K2500 and am needing ideas on length of front leaf springs.

    Thanks.

  • It's a 10 inch SkyJack lift kit. I have a MySpace profile and I have an album that is strictly this truck from the time we bought it up to recent. The truck is completly different now than what it was before. Search "Vernice Porter" on MySpace, friend request me and you can get some ideas from that.

  • good mud-bogger. put a flat-bed on the back with some roll protection.

you got the right idea 4sure. 14 bolt rear. 60 front. 38 inch super swampers. big block. look like fun, good job man

  • We put a step-side on it. It has a corp 14 in the rear and a Dana 44 in the front. 39'5 SS. Thanks for the compliment.

  • good looking truck

  • i want your yard and the trucks

  • very nice truck, shortbed or longbed, big block or small block, manual or auto?

  • Thank you! It was originally a short wide box until we put a step-side on it. Looks really nice. Big Block and it's actually a 402. Automatic.

  • What mufflers? Flowmaster Super 40's?

  • Flowmaster 40's. 3" exhaust.

  • Absolutely Gorgeous!! Reminds me of mine when I first got her, of course mine wasn't nearly as big, but the bed-less state and roaring exhaust are definitely similarities. Please check out my vids and rate and comment!

  • Thank you very much!

  • im speechless...

  • I have a 1987 long bed, reg cab with a 6 inch suspension and a 3 inch body..Iam runnin 35 inch baja claws on there now, do you think I could squeeze some 39.5 swampers under there or is that out of the question? Thanks alot man....sweet ride!

  • My husband thinks you should be able to run 39.5's, it might rub a little though. I have more videos on here, did you see them?

  • how much lift does it have...and what size of tires?

  • I have a 10" sky jack lift and it's on 39.5's.

  • niceeee man, like everbody else. great job on the truck!

  • gimme

  • No, you can't have! LOL!

  • Flowmaster 40s?

  • yep!

  • Great soundin' truck, man.

  • Thank you!

  • that thing sounds soo nice man.. good job

  • Thank you too!
