  • Jeez....if he didn't say "up, up and away" I wouldn't have know it was lifting off. smh

  • the new guy should really STFU

  • Is that mean NASA gonna close !! no more experiment on MARS !!????

  • is it just me or did that guy talk too much?! like something so awesome is taking place and we cant just enjoy it?!

  • Holy cow...O.O

    Space shuttle launches are awesome.

  • 4 idiots missed the like button

  • Please type in NEW REPTILIAN FOOTAGE and see proof with your own eye’s of what parasites look like. It is the thumbnail with Jimmy Johnson. PLEASE this is nothing to joke about. Every one should have axes to this information and help expose and bring the human spirit up. .

  • did u know y the ppl have to watch so far back? if they were too close, the sound from the engines would kill them. try standing next to a jet plane's engines. you'd go deaf within seconds!

  • @00012581 the space shuttle 3 main engines burns liquid Hydrogen (LH2) and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) which when burned produce No CO2 release. while the SRB burns on aluminum perchlorate (NH4CIO4) which produces minimal CO2. Actually the production of the Space shuttle and the external fuel tank (ET) produce more CO2 than from the actual launch.

  • @stupid1Flip Seems like to me that if H2 and O are combined you get H2O or water. And that is exactly what comes out of a shuttle engine. Nothing but water vapor or steam. All the pollution comes from the boosters.

  • I was there!!! woot! but i failed at filming, had a great angle and view but didn't click record. My bro's camera and I didn't know how to use it haha. Should have did a test run. But I took a picture of the cloud left by the rocket fuel and it was amazing. It formed this heavenly oracle in the sky :P traffic was terrible afterward though.

  • @00012581 you have no idea what you are talking about. the Space shuttle does Not use any oil..it use Liquid oxygen and Liquild Nitrogen for its 3 main engines. While the solid rocket boosters uses Solid propellent..

  • @stupid1Flip The fuel is hydrogen not nitrogen....

  • good luck in space

  • thanks spud888

  • only 3 more launches, no more space program. who would have believed he's making these scientists & engineers fix Toyotas problem... going from space to working on a car... pathetic!

thanks a lot obama... yeah this money is better spent giving some illeagal a free insurance policy... I can't wait to vote you out of office!

  • @1Guitarslayer What major advancements have we made going into space since Apollo? NONE.

Also illegals wont be eligible for healthcare since you can only get it through your employer & you need to be a citizen to do that unless the employer is acting against the law.

Stop watching Fox News it's only making you dumber. OH and he wont be voted out of office. For who? Palin? HA!

Just STFU and enjoy the video jerkoff. Nobody wants to argue about Obama 24/7 take your bizarro hatred somewhere else.

  • what a joke !

  • It must bee pretty exhausting for an old prick Henry Kissinger and other escaping rats to sustain few G's on the last space flight to 'safety'.

  • i was there to watch that. it was imense and the sound of the shuttle was breath takeing. lucky that there was no cloud in sight so you could see everything even the shuttle going threw the hemisphere. im really lucky to see this ass i have come on a to week holiday to florida. one of the best moments of my life :)

  • I was there this morning It was really cool!!!

  • Well, that's one less mathmetician, different sort of mathmetician, and statistician to pay down central bank debt.

  • 4 women in space at the same time.

I hope the guys remembered to pack some ear-plugs.

  • @nanciqwerty i hope they packed some condoms.....

  • Wow, where did they get the money? was it the collaboration of unemployment checks that got them there? everyone at NASA chipped in?

  • @rsnboy08 No one at NASA chipped in...the Federal Reserve just pulled some money out of thin air, then "lent" it to them at interest through the Treasury, just like every Federal Reserve Note and electronic U.S. Dollar out there. :)

  • @cocacola443 How the hell are they gonna pay that back? They better start caching some of that space junk....to recycle! :)

  • Это был последний полёт. Так что насовцы сохранили свои деньги.

It was the last flight. So NASA's workers saved their own money. :-)

  • @Nitrorus Nu i ladno, podelom, vse dengi prosrali na bombardirovku luni! Duraki.

  • My dear channel's friends,touch & love please...

  • Man, you don't even see this on US media outlets. They don't show anything over here. It's just people talking about nothing.

  • @sniper6081

They do on Fox News Channel - live coverage of launches, often with commentary from former astronaut Tom Jones.

  • @sniper6081 Russians like science and rockets :)

  • @sniper6081 Totally agree with you. US just talks the talk and teaches its people to do the same. Russia walks its talk and makes sure that its media teaches its people to do the same.

  • I saw that. And heard the shockwave. A saw a big cloud of gas after that is like a blue and gray kinda color. LOL it was the third shuttle launch I've seen in my entire life

  • I would think by now, NASA would have already developed new methods instead of using rockets to fly out into orbit.

  • I saw the shuttle this morning going across the sky in s.e. Ga. First time ever seeing one,it was amazing!

  • @outerconnection Iknoe right?

  • @outerconnection

I always wondered why they couldn't just bolt (big fuck off sized bolts!) a heavy duty cable to the moon and then just winch everything up there into space. Sure would save some fuel!!. Cable might have to be fairly (erm) long though : ^ o

Ho hum... I'm just daydreaming again.

  • "Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids.... in fact it's cold as hell...."

    Sir Elton John

  • lol I loved @ the end "there it goes" :)

  • haha missed that. that is kinda funny. it's like he's talking to a room of elementary kids...

  • I watched it from Space View Park in Titusville. What an incredible sight!

  • @spud888

we are coming over from the UK to watch Discovery on the last flight in September, is Space View Park a good place to watch from? By that I mean is it a clear shot at the launch pad?

    Thanks for any help, Jamie

  • @VVAllier Yes it is a fantastic place to watch from. It is the best place to view a launch without paying anything or being a nasa VIP. You do have a direct view of the pad which is something you don't get at the kennedy visitors centre! If you go to space view park make sure you turn up 4-5 hours before hand, maybe even more as it's the last flight, you may want to camp. We turned up about 2 hours before this launch and were lucky to get a brilliant spot right at the front.

  • Firepower.

  • Godspeed.....

  • i seen the space shuttle take of from the beach in florida and it looked like a big ball of fire comeing to earth

  • Install a water superheat, adn get ten times teh trust, fro 1/10th the cO2

  • At 0:14 " ... it will take Discovery 2 days to reach orbit ... "

Incorrect. It takes the Space Shuttle 8 minutes to reach orbit, it will take 2 days for it to 'catch up' with the International Space Station.

  • @ZedAlfa273 Thats what I was thinking and I think thats what the block head ment.

  • Wish U The Best Nasa :) and have a nice 2 weeks in space ! .. lol

  • I was there. It was awesome.

  • I stood outside this morning watching from afar, I saw it, it was really cool.

  • houston we have a problem

    russian shut up goooooooooooooooooooo

  • Lived in Orlando Florida for 50 years and still get a thrill out of watching them leave mother earth and return over my head coming back home.

  • SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP.... the host doesn't need to talk through the ENTIRE launch. How terribly annoying!

  • >Nice of them to show American shuttle launches too.

It was the last time and it was started just because russian engines. Now you may keep dreaming, sorry that I have put you into reality. :-)

  • @Nitrorus Must you be an asshole? It's STILL an American shuttle.

  • People says a**hole is you. :-) Because it is you, who trolls here and gets many "-" (minus) constantly. Hehe, you are a mazochist. Seems as you like when people humiliates you. Grow up, man! Don't be so jealous and ignorant. Or you won't end up with humiliations at your address. And now I'm stopping to talk with you, or people would think that I'm also an idiot as you. Bye!

  • @Nitrorus The comment you made was an asshole comment. There's no doubting that. I don't CARE if I get thumbs downed, does it matter? What I say goes against the grain of the normal idiots who post replies on the RT channel. No one has humiliated me over the internet. Ever. Grow up? Stop being an arrogant prat, you're proud of your nations space program. No one. Gives. A. Shit.

You can put out as much false superiority as you wish, but in the end, the only idiot here is you.

  • there will be 4 girls nagging at every guy for 14 days...good thing nasa makes them wear the star trek-tos federation regulation mini-skirt uniform with black nylons and go-go boots!

  • I saw it from my back yard. God speed!

  • @amsterdam78 seeing as you paid for it seeing it was the least they could do for you. but its kind of you to voice your appreciation of being able to see it....fucking peasant!

  • @dikkydoo1 space exploration is horribly underfunded. A higher income tax would help fund more missions, and help colonize mars.

  • I saw it from my back yard. God speed!

  • we are comming up to the space station with the 3 girls... the beer ....pretzals and pizza and madden -nfl-10....we are all cosmonauts now of interkosmos-usa!

  • I saw this too! Great thing to watch

  • Good luck in space :P

  • >Good luck in space :P

Yes, good luck! They really need this, because the shuttle lost some fragments again. What the hell they are doing with their money in NASA, if they are not enable to prepare the ship good?! Hope it won't cause any troubles with landing.

  • @Nitrorus The shuttle loses a lot of things on purpose. Exactly what fragments are you talking about ?

  • >Exactly what fragments are you talking about?

Elements of corpus' isolation and ice on its surface. Dunno how it sounds correctly on english, but it wasn't purpose lost (as empty fuel tanks), obviously.

  • @Nitrorus Insulation has been shedding since the begining. It does not shed ice. Thats what the insulation is for. Sometimes frost shows up but its not an issue. If ice does form at the connections, it breaks off at engine start. It does shed rain covers put on the the 44 thrusters at the pad to keep out rain. It also sheds purge barriers put over the umbilical wells (where the ET attaches to the orbiter) for ground operations.

  • If you think that all will be good, than it's enough for me. :-) But is this enough for cosmonauts safety? Let's hope that this last landing would be with no troubles.

  • i just watched this outside!! so awesome...too bad i was pretty far away :-(
