So I have a macbook pro (non unibody, but has dvi and mini dvi port)... Do you still think the best option for me to hook up to a hdtv is to get that mini dvi to hdmi adapter? Any better suggestions for the audio to tv?

if i am not mistaken.. audio are supported on the latest 2010 macbook pros mini displayport.. if you have the latest macbbok pro the video and audio should come out through the same hdmi cable via this griffin adapter.

@jim1621 all the new MBP have 2 cores not 4 but they do have Hyper Threading and yea the mDP has audio support

@jim1621 yes, they do support Audio out over mini DP, and Griffin confirmed that the adapter supports that.
