you got a clav1 on ebay? I have a D6, the staple clav, and there is a Clav 2 on ebay right now, but the only clav 1 i ever heard of was in the Keyboard Museum. That's worth thousands!
My best friend/bandmate was buying some cheap $50 80's keyboard from some guy off of craigslist and he pulls out "this old piece of junk" of his ex=roommates and tells him he can have it too if he buys the one he was selling. It was a Hohner clav/pianet, which is worth a couple grand at least.
And you're right, there is simply no comparison to any synth version. We've recorded it through his '68 Marshall plexi halfstack with just a hint of distortion and let me tell you, that is a scary sound..
Yes, believe me that when you try one of this things you'll never go back to a digital clone... When connected to the reall tube guitar amp it is really something special. Where did I learn? At home... :) This is poor video and not really Clavinet style of playing. Thanks anyway!
Thanks epservice. Clavinet I is really great instrument and it somehow sounds different to me then D6. It is less funky and more rock orientated. It has different pickups and I think that's the main reason for a different sound.
This is sounding great. I love the sound of a Clav. The wah you are using is OK. Maybe you have to go more on the beat with The wah. In anyway, its sounding nice
try it thru a leslie w/fast speed & no effects. it will sound like a japanese sitara.

Yes, that's pre-D6. First Clavinet model. Clavinet/Pianet Duo is different, a lot. :)

Very well done. Is that a built-in speaker? such a rare clavinet!

Yes, it has a built-in speaker - and built-in amp. Nothing special, but ok for home practice.
