This is starting to look more like an impatient record company maneuvering to split the band into spinoffs so they could generate more product and sales, but the whole thing backfired epically. I see BS... can you? After all, look what they did to Fender.
Barry actually played on the FIRST 2 ALBUMS and did MOST OF THE GUITAR IN CONCERT. He also had a very long standing relationship with the bands earlier lineups and demos. Not to mention his incredible work with ORION THE HUNTER, RTZ and ERNIE and THE AUTOMATICS. The DELP/GOUDREAU album from a few years ago is a CLASSIC.
bostonpublicist do some research. Barry Goudreau is a joke of a guitarist and NEVER wrote a note of Boston material. Tom Sholz and Brad Delp were responsible for ALL the success of Boston, hence they were the only two on the original contract with Epic. This song never made it into the top 100 it was terribly written to copy Boston's sound. Goudreau and his leech buddies begged Brad Delp to sing on this so it would get airplay. Delp had the decency and the brains to stay away from the lawsuit.
I searched and searched every boston albulm to find this song with no luck". I called the Big local radio station and he called back and left a message saying it was Barry goudreau "Dreams". fuck" after all that searching! no wonder.I knew it had something to do with Boston because the guitar sound is the same. thanks" KQRS radio in Minneapolis-St,Paul Mn!
@Gtrtech - Agreed. The first two Boston albums are like from a different band compared to the next few. And there's some really good tunes on this album.
@bostonpublicist BOSTON IS AND WAS BARRY, BRAD, SIB, FRAN and TOM. That crap Tom has been schlepping around since 1983 is not BOSTON. it's a barcoded product like his crap Rockman to drain the public of their hard earned cash. let us also add that Tom Scholz would sue his mother for a nickel. whatever. Barry was the cool one. tom was the organist.
@bostonpublicist Use your ears idiot. This is Boston, without all the organ, pick slides, and sound effects. Goudreau was the man behind the hooks and solos...
