  • Brilliant

  • Paxman is the best thing on the BBC

  • LOL BBC retards edit this programme but it is nothing without Paxo

  • @henryhaven go away

  • @1madaboutguitar lol girl

  • @henryhaven no, not being a girl, just being polite.

  • @henryhaven Stop trolling my profile page, prick.

  • @1madaboutguitar I'd just like to tell you both, good luck, we're all counting on you.

  • brilliant

  • When Obama came to the UK the US specifically requested that Paxman not be allowed to speek to him.

  • @HEN000y Wow, is that true?

  • Priceless.

  • One Programme.

    One Man.

    One Legend.

  • @MissTabby101 True ; he is the ONLY presenter of the show really isn't he ? The show is wet and bland without him at the wheel and it watch it every week night. People intimidate the likes of the likeable Gavin Esler and intense but slightly submissive Emily Maitlis

  • @TheKenfig lol he's a no-bullshit kind of guy, which is why people like him i guess - unlike other presenters that backdown, after a telling off from a politician.

  • What a man!! Gotta love Paxman

  • Wasn't this a Charlie Brooker joke?

  • @PaperMoonMedia Yes it was.

  • If they ever get rid of him it will be the bBC. He is doing us proud by staying true to the British way of life, miserable but witty.

  • One of the few at the BBC worth his paycheck... pure class.

  • @Cerberus221 He gets paid 1 million a year.

  • @The1stPoster I'm not messing about going through the comments so I dunno who you mean, but if you mean Paxman I don't give a shit how much he gets paid if he does a bloody good job. And he does.

  • @The1stPoster And he's worth every penny.

  • too funny

  • lol

  • mmmyyyesss..

  • i like paxman for forcing the truth but he has made blunders in the past. he does make mistakes when he tries to push people, based on his own politics and the status quo. a perfect example of this is the george galloway interview, paxman opened with frankly...the most racist question iv ever heard. if paxman read about galloway's actual past and not the status quo, he would never have opened with that question.

  • anyone know where the similarly hilarious clip is of him informing us of the poll on the BBC website to help choose a name for some hypothetical pet that the BBC had(?!) and goes 'so if you have nothing better to do with your time than vote for the name of a fictional animal, then visit our websit'. ? saw it on here just the other day, but now there's no sign of it!

  • WATCH THE ARRIVALS!!

  • Paxman should present every TV show ever

  • Paxman is such a knob, but he is a knob to the people who deserve it. Got to love him for that.

  • *Too stunned to talk for a moment* .........well he has a point lol

  • Makes the majority of T.V. Newsreaders come across as wet drips

  • the paxslap

  • Paxman used to be good but he is well past his sell by date; he really got turned over by Plaid Cymru's Eurfyl ap Gwilym and was poorly prepared.

  • @m1trekker He may not be on top form, but is there really anyone you could replace him with..?

  • @m1trekker i disagree - that guy tried to challenge Paxman instead of answering questions - as ususal..

  • @Arty288 Well we agree to differ on that one then, in the Eurfyl ap Gwilym interview and in George Galloway's interview, Paxman's interviewing approach was poor (poor preparation in one and irrelevant questions in the other) I did enjoy the Michael Howard interview though, but I prefer Emily Maitlis or Gavin Esler on newsnight these days.

  • @m1trekker Galloway suffers from paranoia and ego centrism in a big way.

  • @Professor6871 ego, possibly. paranoia, doubtful. his statements are based on proven history. im no george galloway fanboy...but he made some powerful points about ongoings in the middle east based on facts. he was an mp who was frustrated his country was heading down a dangerous path, an look what happened he was right. give the guy a break

  • joker bruv

  • haha this guy is hilarious.

  • Paxman's a lad.

  • lmao

  • LOVE Paxman

  • He must have extremely strong neck muscles to support that fucking big head !

  • @Rachiejane1 You're wrong I'm afraid. 'Humor' was the way we used to spell it and then we changed a lot of 'or's to 'our's to make it sound more like the French pronunciation. They didn't bother in America.

  • Paxo for UN Commissioner......the sort of no BS guy to bang national leaders heads together during tiresome negotiations, Middle East pls take note!

  • @KEVWARD63 agreed

  • Paxman is the shit

  • He's TV Gold, he is unsackabe but i'm sure he's just going to give up on Newsnight in the end

  • LOL

    Yeah, fuck the editor !

  • If you like this paxman outburst, check out when they asked him to do a weather report at the end of newsnight. FUNNY!

  • I wonder if anyone sent this as a home video submission?

  • Oh my god!! Ha!!

  • Classic...

  • Legend.

  • i laughed hard

  • lol, I remember when this aired. Hilarious.

  • oh my gosh. i love this man. he's too funny.

  • Paxo is God

  • He's not untouchable - far from it he's well bootable.

BBC keep him because they think he is no nonesense

He is no nonesense but in the most agressive manner possible

Its quite funny to watch - better than the other rot pretending to be comedy on telly

  • @DreadedEddy He is no nonsense, and aggressive, but he is always fair, and always polite, Unless of course someone tries to pull the wool over the BBC licence payers eyes, in which case more power to him. The reason paxman works is because he is fair otherwise he would have been out of a job ages ago.

  • hilarious, he must be unsackable to get away with that though.

  • HOLY SHIT, I cant belive this is real.

  • i would like to see him with bill o reilly

  • @were455 Paxman is in the U.K. for a reason. Not too many brits have the stomach for American politics. He may be a hard ass over there but he'd get chewed up by our talking heads.

  • @hatfisc whatever

  • @hatfisc What are you talking about, you can't possibly know that. That's a completely nonsensical statement.

  • How do I know that? I've watched Paxmans interviews and his so called "gotcha" moments are common talking point questions. It helps to be a smart-ass I guess but it doesn't make you a good interviewer. He's predictable and people like Jon Bolton chewed him up and spit him out. He interviewed Jon Bolton and pretty much told Paxman that he's a pussy and Jeremy had to sit there without rebuttle.

  • @hatfisc You miss the point in Paxman. It's not all about "gotcha moments" as you like to put it, it's the fact that he actually asks the questions that create those moments where no others do. He also has the balls to persist where others don't, and shows certain people up for who/what they really are.

To infer Paxman isn't a good interviewer is just total tosh.

  • @robseven7 I've seen some of his not so good moments. I've commented on this thread that although I disagree with his politics, I still think he's provocative enough to be on some cable news channels in the states. Sure, I'll admit that I haven't seen a whole ton of Paxman but he really dropped the ball in the Coulter Interview. He didn't look as bad in the Bolton interview its just that Jon held to his guns and made better points. Paxman has his place, don't get me wrong.

  • @hatfisc i dont believe that for a second,i've seen many american politicians and i think Paxman would do the exact same

  • @VigisKane Are we talking about politicians here or journalists? I think Paxman could difinetely have a prospering career in the states I'm just not convinced it would be as a lead television talking head. Even though his analysis isn't groundbreaking or fresh, he still would have a loyal following here. Americans are suckers for repitition and the liberal left would eat it all up. I think he would do better than Ed Shultz on MSNBC although liberal shows usually don't do well in ratings.

  • @hatfisc mmmm i agree

  • @hatfisc 'american's are suckers for repetition'? i know why, it's because they can only ever handle one thought..... ever. in their entire life.. 1 thought. for most it's just... I um wan ma hamberger...

  • Wow, he's almost like Charlie Brooker. What a legend. Surprised he's still got a job with the BBC LOL.

  • paxman is evil

  • Holy fucking shit this is refreshing from what we've got on Amerikkkan TV.

  • AMEN god bless AMERITARD!

  • Amerikkkan T.V.? Oh my, sorry that you're not up on current events but the KKK has been irrelevent in the states for decades. The only real outspoken racists in America are blacks and anyone belonging to the Democratic political party. For the life of me I can't figure out why race means so much to these people. We can't go a day without being reminded that we have a black president.

  • @hatfisc If you think racism is null and void in the U.S., then you need to pull your head out of your arse.

  • @Antiks72 I'm not saying it's null and void rather a social issue. Racism is no longer who's allowed to use public restrooms or vote. Everyone is allowed the same rights so blacks are no longer the victim of any injustice and its even more fair to say they are more protected in the work place and society. Racism cry now have to be geared toward what people are thinking and what peoples intentions are. It's no longer cut and dry where racism exits now thats why you see it politicized.

  • Haha, I almost thought that was chris morris for a second!

  • @Jiezeru cool observation

  • Paxman is the best person ever.

  • I love the Pacman, he's genius!

  • LEGEND!!!!

  • sickest guy

  • You need people like Paxman when watching politics and the news. Not only does it make it so much more interesting but he also strikes fear into the heart of every politician. He is under-rated.

  • @thebigJM92 Yeah we need somebody like Paxman to kick the buts of our useless politicians

  • brilliant!!! cynically brilliant!!

  • Legend.

  • Wow. American media needs more cynics like him and less diatribe driven ideologue-for-hire bullshit like we have now.

  • I remember watching - I was kinda dozind off then he said that and I was like "Wait, what did he just say?" Classic.

  • That what I call quality TV.

  • lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Haha! That is brilliant. I wish he was my uncle so he could come to our house at Christmas and be cynical.

  • he knows they cant sack him - he's untouchable. good on him too.

  • @multitudinal I'm sure Jonathan Ross thought himself to be untouchable too

  • @Rorxz The difference is that Johnathan Ross is a dimwitted, juvenile, prankster, whilst Paxman is a respected journalist. The outcry in support of keeping Johnathan Ross' puerile humor on the television would be easily drowned by the outcry of people decrying the sacking of one of mainstream television's last real journalists.

  • @WildeAnarchist Jonathan Ross is entertaining. Learn how to spell humour

  • @Rachiejane1

Humour is the English variant, Humor is the American. Both are valid spellings.

As for your first sentence, no he isn't. See, we can both just state our opinions, how wonderfully productive.

  • @WildeAnarchist How very patronising you are. Humour is the original spelling; humor is the bastardised version.

  • @Rachiejane1 Wow, you're right. I am sooo patronising. Watch me go around (incorrectly) correcting other people's spelling... oh wait. That was you. Later.

  • @WildeAnarchist I spelt it correctly. Way to go 'anarchist' - what a rebel you are! Later

  • @Rachiejane1 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...

  • @WildeAnarchist Isn't "humour" the English derivative, not a variant. This is as you can't have an English variant of English (that's like saying 'furniture is a specific type of furniture'). The spelling "humor" is indeed a valid spelling, for an American variant, but I prefer using "u"'s (besides I am English anyway).

  • @Rorxz he is? you see him sacked now? he's still on top. he probably gained from the publicity

  • Pow! Right in the kisser.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssss! hahahahaha

  • Jezza ooooowning

  • Much respect to Jeremy, one of the few who isn't a brown nosing sell out. PAXMAN FOR PM!!!

  • His arrogance is comical haha i love how he puts people down especially the people who pay his wages haha.

  • Excellent.

  • What a hero. Someone that makes me proud to be English!! haha

  • that is what you can get away with when you become as respected as paxman. he know longer has to do everything the producers tell him.

  • Utterly Brilliant

  • Best news guy ever

  • Jeremy Paxman is awesome.

Did you threaten to overrule him?

  • Ha, I remember seeing this when it went out, so funny! What a great man.

  • hahaha i love jeremy, he's so down to earth and doesnt take ANY nonsence

  • haha i caught this when it went out, and again on charlie brooker's newswipe/screenwipe.

Only an institution like paxman could get away with it!

  • An annoying weasel at times ... But you've got to give it to him... He's next level!!!

  • This never ceases to be hilarious.

  • this man is one of our few saving graces. a thoroughly intelligent and important figure for politics and the news.

  • I sat in his chair, at his desk yesterday! XD

  • You're fired

  • @potatoface13 i'm jealous!! x

  • He is the man to host the tv debate between the political parties :D

    cheerio folk! :D

  • If this is for real that is the best short clip ever! Pathetic attempts etc etc.... astoundingly good.

  • it is real. i remember seeing it go out live and thinking, if anyone else spoke about their boss like that in public they'd be sacked.

    Paxo is bullet-proof of course.

  • I think the best time he got annoyed was when he had to do the weather. After the second time he just didn't bother.

  • Agreed. He's really arrogant but I love it, and find it hysterical.

If he adjudicates the political debate between the party leaders it's going to be awesome.

  • LOOL

  • I'm sure Paxman is getting more grumpy as he gets older

  • Paxo is the top dog. I'm just dreading the day he say's has enough of the tosser politico's he has to endue everyday and decide to retire to Jamaica to write his memoirs.

  • Haha, I love how he can say ANYTHING and not get fired! He's just too much liked and respected! And the fact is he's never unfair or cruel, currying favour through doing mean things, so it's hard to really say anything against him!

  • Haha you have to give old Paxo credit he speaks his mind and that's why he's liked.

  • Paxo FTW!

  • I get the distinct impression Jezza isn't getting any.

  • I'm sure he gets it, daily, Newsnightly, and ever so rightly.

  • Holy Hell, that's a classic comment.

  • What's wrong with the poor person lol

  • Legend.

  • ahah! i remember this! ♥ paxo

  • Thank God someone who says what other educated people say!!!

  • hahahahaaha

  • My hero!

  • Greatest Journalist Alive.

  • Ah - Classic Paxo!

  • How can anyone not love Paxman?

  • Nice one Paxo!

  • HAHA!

    Best journalist ever!

  • FUKING BRILLIANT!

  • EPIC!

  • Paxman FTW

  • LOL!

  • He is one of the rudest interviewers on TV

  • witch is for the best. he is offten able to get out of people things thay dont want. its a style that works.

  • Why is Paxman such a cocky arse?

  • Because in so many cases, he is right!
