I will give you some advice on drums though (16 years experance, highschool teacher DCA drummer) your over killing the piece at 1:16. on ward...keep the high hat closed or use the ride its to bright for the piece...and fat them up a bit. Guitar is great! Keep up the good work! and ill suscribe :)

Excwellent band cover of this classic. Got a nice melloe feel to it. 5*s! The only slight criticism is I think the drums at the first part of the song could be a bit softer. Too many "tss tss" for my liking, more "bom bom bom tss". That's just my opinion. They are bang on at around 3.40 onwards
Good job on the guitar...respect!!!....the vocals aren't quite as good, in my opinion, especially her timing.....by singing it this way, It destroys the magic of the extremely beautifull timing, Jimi put into it.......but I really respect all effort for making music, so it's not meant as diss or anything....simply not the best combination, this one......it seems as two people are doing stuff on their own and not really working toghether / listening good to eachother.

I prefer the clean look of "Bold as Love" up there as opposed to "by Jimi Hendrix" or "Cover" or whatever. Youtube is a user-generated content site, if you want to listen to a Hendrix song or see him play it live, buy the cd or dvd. If not, it's not that difficult to click the back button.

I explained because of emotion...he FEELS it, you wouldn't really know unless you play it yourself.
Same with John Mayer. Never have I seen him "fake it". Just because Jimi plays with more feel (which is true, John Mayer would admit it as well)...doesn't mean John Mayer can't make orgasming face expressions, lol.
i saw him at woodstock but like i said its nothing to the graditude of mayer... and for some reason jimis faces dont really bother me. most of the times he preformed live he would drop like 2 hits of acid or smoke a joint before hand. when you play music on acid thats a whole different story that i wont take time on explaining because your actually having somewhat of an orgasim circulating throughout your body haha. and i do play guitar if that statement was directed torward me.
A lot of it has to do with the fact that when you move one part of your body, the other part moves. You can't control it, it just happens. Try playing a complex drum rhythm for the first time, you'll see very quickly that each motion is connected within your body. Ignore the face, it's the music that matters.
for some people that might be the case but i don't have faces when i play, but i could see your point as a valid one to a respectable degree because yes there are people that apply to that scenario but i think the vast majority of the people that do it are sort of putting it on as an act.look up fredrick strand halland. great guitarist but the faces just ruin it for him. and he does it on purpose unlike john mayer who cant control them.

She's not off pitch. It's hard to nail Jimi's sprechgesang without having his particular vocal timbre. It's a problem that plagues every wannabe Jimi Hendrix out there... his voice was just too unique.

yeah hes really good but theres no need for the facial expressions in a general opinion jimi hendrix "feels" it alot more.... wheres his over the top guitar faces? they dont exist ive seen just about every jimi hendrix video put on you tube and ive never seen him pull of anything to the graditude of john mayer. i mean i know the poor guy doesnt know but come on it just ruins it.

LOL. Watch Jimi's face during Izabella at Woodstock. My friend watched that (doesn't know much Hendrix music), and he said to me, "why does it look like Jimi is orgasming?"
I explained because of emotion...he FEELS it, you wouldn't really know unless you play it yourself.
Same with John Mayer. Never have I seen him "fake it". Just because Jimi plays with more feel (which is true, John Mayer would admit it as well)...doesn't mean John Mayer can't make orgasming face expressions, lol.

i saw him at woodstock but like i said its nothing to the graditude of mayer... and for some reason jimis faces dont really bother me. most of the times he preformed live he would drop like 2 hits of acid or smoke a joint before hand. when you play music on acid thats a whole different story that i wont take time on explaining because your actually having somewhat of an orgasim circulating throughout your body haha. and i do play guitar if that statement was directed torward me.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that when you move one part of your body, the other part moves. You can't control it, it just happens. Try playing a complex drum rhythm for the first time, you'll see very quickly that each motion is connected within your body. Ignore the face, it's the music that matters.

for some people that might be the case but i don't have faces when i play, but i could see your point as a valid one to a respectable degree because yes there are people that apply to that scenario but i think the vast majority of the people that do it are sort of putting it on as an act.look up fredrick strand halland. great guitarist but the faces just ruin it for him. and he does it on purpose unlike john mayer who cant control them.

Holy COW this girl is TONE DEAF! Don't these guys even play it back for themselves before they decide to put it up for the entire world to see? I guess not. I mean really!! It looks like the girl had all the equipment she'll ever need in this life (good headphones, professional microphone w/pop screen, computer) and she still mutilated the song. But the guitar is freaky good!

She's not off pitch. It's hard to nail Jimi's sprechgesang without having his particular vocal timbre. It's a problem that plagues every wannabe Jimi Hendrix out there... his voice was just too unique.

you guys are so stupid. in the discription it is clearly stated that he was going to upload it and then a "spur of the moment" developed from thin air and at that moment he asked her to sing on it. thats why it sounds like she didnt practice - cuz she hadnt!! your all so fucking dumb. i thought it was beautiful, make it your own instead of it sounding THE SAME as everyone elses version....copy copy copy is all we hear these days.

I agree. the vocals are in speaking voice, so the lower notes sound horrible. sing in your higher voice. the guitar is awesome though!
