Tré Cool (Green Day) uses a K Crash, and on the 2005 Concerts it had a K on the back, but 2009, there was the Zildjian sign.

k has DARK SOUND cymbals and A´S are bright sound cymbals

can someone who knows their cymbals give me a basic rundown of the differences between the K series and the A series, my kits bassically has all a's and the custom power ride. Its to my understanding standing K is a level higher and a bit more expensive but other than that i dont understand much about cymbals :P

K has a warmer sound,

the rides in general are more clean sound, the crashes go deeper. A, are a bit lighter in sound i have a A 18" rock crash but it's thinner and higer pitched.. It's a matter of taste.

i hate it when idiots post videos of them hitting a cymbal, with the bluit camera microphone which can't take high sound pressure levels (or any sound pressure levels for that matter)...

get a decent microphone (a shure PG81 will do the trick) and plug it into the camera. then you don't have a completely pointless video with some guy bashing a ride (which is an inch away from a tom and on a crap stand), when you can go to the zildjian site and actually hear what it sounds like.
