This was NOT an engine explosion. It was a transmission explosion. Hense why he ends up driving OVER the engine... Watch in slow-mo. The tranny blew up and blew apart launching the engine over the right side of the frame. Remember the tranny holds the engine in more than the motor mounts, so when the tranny lets loose it's all over. Tranny explosions are more common in top racing events than on the road. More than likely the torque converter in the bellhousing, exploded.

The tractor looks like european maid, the engine block is blown clean out of the vehicle leaving the crank pistons and bearing tunnels behind. Do a search for European maid. FWIW it looks like a crankcase explosion triggers the failure then combustion pressure does the rest.
