During Civil War, Tony, Reed Richards and Hank Pym combined their collective knowledge and expertise to create a Clone/Cyborg hybrid of Thor (who was dead at the time) called (by fans) Clor and later, Ragnarok (in Avengers Initative title), as part a Avengers/SHIELD project to litterally create superheroes to help police the country.
But Clor lost control during a battle and killed the rebel superhero Goliath, a longtime friend of Pym, Reed and Tony.
When Donald Blake (Thor's former human counterpart) awoke and freed Thor from Limbo, he learned Tony led SHIELD against Captain America and his Rebel Avengers and grew a clone of Thor, which killed a fellow Avenger.
Thor confronted Stark, who wanted Thor to return to the Avengers and subject himself to working for SHIELD, which Thor would have no part of.
When Tony said Thor didn't have a choice in the matter, Thor kicked the shit out of him, and said never to cross his path again.
I am so looking forward to World's Most Wanted coming out in the trade, so who from all the writers working at Marvel, who would you feel is the best to write the X-Men, Jose?
I jumped on to Iron Man midway through the Worlds Most Wanted thanks to you guys. Fraction makes it pretty easy to catch up to most of what is going on. Great book! I'm definitely gonna go back and get the back issues at some point. Thank you Jose and Elliot for the great recommendation.
I'd like to see either a black/minority an/or gay writer on X-men.
I mean X-men is basically a comic book version of the civil rights/GLBT movement, let's see what someone whose actually experienced similair issues as the X-men.
The way that y'all hyped Ironman makes me want 2 purchase it. My only question is would eiter of u say that it would be worth picking it up by itself? I'm not really an IM type of guy but the 2 of u painted quite the picture!
This really was a great issue. Fraction's entire run on this book has been epic. It rivals Brubaker's Cap run (which is finally starting to become interesting again after Reborn #4). I would like to see him on the Avengers, but we all know that only Bendis the magnificent gets to write the flagship team book for the marvel U... then again Fraction is writing marvel's other flagship team book and it's umm... not so good... to say the least.
At this point theres little reason to read Avengers, I wager Fraction would do well with Avengers though he writes a good Thor, Tony and I'm sure he could handle Cap.
Not sound like a broken record, but this was another title I picked up based on positive feedback on the CCW website. I had read the Civil War trades and I hated the way Stark had been written in that event. There was no way I was going to spend money on a Iron Man book after that.
So I went into Iron Man #19 totally cold, not know a thing about what had happened previously. I was damn impressed by what I read, even coming in at the end of the story arc Fraction makes it easy to catch up..
and follow along. He also sets up the next arc in a very interesting manner. I will be at least picking up the next half-dozen issues or so to see what happens. My only complaint is Salvador Larroca draws Norman Osborn with normal looking hair, hello! Everyone knows the real reason Osborn is nuts is god cursed him with a horrible white boy fro!
btw I hate the limited character count on Youtube =)
Why is it that every writer who comes on to the main x-books has to keep punishing the X-Men?
First, Decimation: No More Mutants. Then, Messiah Complex. Mansion gets blowd up (again!), X-Men break up. Then, Utopia. X-men set up shop in San Fran (cool) but then the Dark Avengers fuck everything up (as ususal) and now they are exiled!
What's next? They go to hide in Space. Then, they get kicked out of Space and hide in Limbo? It's bullshit!
why does Thor hate Tony Stark?

I was never really an Iron Man fan either before Fraction came along. It's that good.

Twere I to draft one Marvel writer to DC it would be Matt Fraction and put him on Teen Titans.

After Cival War I hated Tony Stark a lot, but with this story Matt Fraction has me totally emotionally invested in Tony right now.

Wondy the vampire slayer, I'd rather not. Grant Morrison's run is going to be awesome though.
