I own a 250-3000 and there is very very little supply of brass.
The easiest option for me is to neck up 22-250 in a 250sav FLS die
I found this video very informative!
After watching this video I decided to make 250sav out of 243 brass, simply run through a set of LEE 250 dies untill the neck is long and drawn out and shoulders are similar to 250 sav.
I then trimmed 243neck down to the dimensions of 250sav and then ran through the dies to get everything right!
Lee rpresses are very good for ordinary reloading. Case forming you'll need either a RCBS or a Redding press. Garage sales turn up interesting stuff from time to time.
Absolutely, experiment with common head size brass--8x57-30-06,7.62-etc,anneal it and remove the decapper/expander from your dies and start squeezing.
Great video! Thanks!

Umm not so sure you can turn a 30-06 into a 243 ................
However there are forming dies for it,
The Parent case of the 243 Win is the .308 Winchester.........

You may have to neck turn the case to get it to chamber with a bullet seated in it.

I don't own a stony point headspace guage unfortunately. But headspace is critical.
