  • Quail eggs! My Favorites!

  • @532131 now i have to try some fresh ones!

  • @FoodOddities Yes! They are better without being soaked in a can full of preservatives. You boil them just like eggs.

  • @532131 yes i think there is probably nothing that taste better in a can than fresh:)

  • ahahahah i have eaten quail befor in egypt it tastes so nice a bit like chicken

  • @TheSmokeybecky i have never tried the bird i want to! and i would love to go to egypt

  • I tryed Quail Egg's once, and then they tasted great, I had it with some seasoning for some reason. :P

  • @life4raymond i think they would be much better wtih some seasoning

  • I've had quail eggs "fresh" (not canned), bought from a person who raises them. They taste similar to a chicken egg, but a little bit better in my opinion. Don't make your final opinion on them until you've had fresh ones.

  • @wrght9185 that makes sense every one says fresh is best all the time i wil have to try that way

  • You poor thing! Canned! Hopefully you will find fresh. They taste less.. fishy than chicken? Not as strong but still flavourable. Good cooked anyway or even raw.

  • @TheThreeWeavers ooo raw! that is a way i havent tried them!

  • @FoodOddities

Yeah I've been trying raw eggs out in the last month (fresh and stamped with approval). Have yet to get sick. A whole raw chicken egg is a bit gross but quail sized it should be nice just to have out of the shell!

  • @TheThreeWeavers i heard it is mostly safe now to eat them raw if they are checked. i think i coud do a little quail egg:)

  • I EAT FRESH ONES MY MOM BUYS FROM THE MARKET! yum! I'm half Filipino and half American but I am like a total Asian eater

  • @thelolalolazz i have to try fresh ones!

  • OMG LOVE QUAIL EGGS!

  • @thelolalolazz a person could eat 50!

  • fresh eggs are easy to get in the UK i would never eat caned pre cooked eggs

  • @lowgrade84 i almost never do but i coudlnt find any quail eggs fresh!

  • But the one that's at an asain store is much better and fresher it's in an egg and he shell is small and brown/black color

  • The can is in Vietnamese I'm Vietnam and I really like them!

  • @thehamsterlover100 is it> that is awesome!!

  • I lurve those little animations with your head in them! So funny~

  • @88hunghung lol! some people realy hated those:D

  • @FoodOddities gasp! No way! Ugh! I cant believe that! they're so funny!

  • quail eggs are nothing man lol

  • @kaykentucky yes! it was a slow week. some times the foods are not very odd!!

  • I love quail eggs! My family usually makes it with 1000 year old egg porridge

  • @tintct00 o man you know how to make it!!:)

  • @niokiniki the thought of them in batter make me drool!!

  • I am back, Remy! If you try quail eggs in soup, it tastes much better. You should actually try it!

  • I just really love quail eggs! When my mom makes this type of soup, she always put quail eggs in them and I always pick out the quail eggs and eat them! Lol.

  • are they hard cooked eggs in the soup? not like egg drop soup?

  • @Food Oddities No, they are not hard cooked eggs. They are soft like the ones you ate out of the can. Except that when you eat quail eggs with soup, they have a whole lot of flavor to it then the ones right out of the can.

  • @MsIloveanimals ooooo. that makes sense. that is on my list then!! of things to try.

  • quail eggs are native to the phillipines and other part of south east asia. try to eat it fresh its much better than to eat it canned :))

  • @pateros123 good point. nothing is better from a can!!

  • Next time try a raw one cracked over some Uni (sea urchin). It's delish. Like candy... It can be found on many sushi menus

  • o i will try this! i never had sea urchin yet that is something i need to have.

  • I found some quail eggs recently at the grocery store! They were in with the chicken eggs, and fresh!

I tried them hard boiled and fried. I found that when you hard boil them, they're a little it more chewy than your average chicken egg. And when I friend them, they tasted exactly the same (if you add a little salt).

  • at teh regular grocery store? awesome!! i dont think any stores near me have them like that

  • you can just buy them in the Netherlands at the butchers you get them per 12

    they are verry tasty.

  • that sounds way better tahn canned!:)

  • Yeah I love shopping at asian markets but I don't try too much of anything they can anymore because it usually just grossed me out lol

  • Wow I didnt know that they sold these in can's!

but I have to say the weirdest thing Ive seen in a can is a "cheeseburger" in a "Can" now that is a strange one!

  • of all the things tha you can eat form a can cheese burger seems so weird! i would eat it though:)

  • Its real!

google it or look it up here in youtube!

    you will see =D

  • haha you are right i looke it up i need to try that

  • jajajaja well if you do post it up then that will be hilarious & interesting XD jajajaja

  • i will do it !i am order ing it:)

  • I've had a pretty crappy day, but seeing your head emerging from a quail's butt really made me giggle, and I feel more cheerful now. So thanks for that.

  • iam glad your day is going better at first i was em,barased about that parrt of the video but now im glad about it if it makes yougiggle:)

  • lol oh wow:S kool vid:)

  • thank you it wasnt my idea to have thequail laying my head for an egg for sure!

  • They're delicious, but too small for me to gorge on.

  • a person coud probaby eat 20 of them and not get full:)

  • i think quail eggs are not really that special in taste those 1000yrb old eggs, now that is something else :p

  • these ones werent too crazy but i just had to tryy them

  • i ate those just a few days ago they were fresh from a carton

  • now i need to try them fried

  • I want to try them, yeh its me arya with my old utube account. They look.... Appetizing.

  • ha ha!i wonder how chickeneggs would tast e in a can

  • Yay! Good to have a new vid Remy!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I was thinking one day you might do an all bizarre food Thanksgiving! Though I guess only you & your dad would be eating stuff at it!

    :P

I wonder about some of this stuff, like if fresh quail eggs, or like the frog legs if they were cooked different, might be better or if it they would taste odd no matter what.

Oh my friend Tana's parents used to raise emus! She gave me a huge, empty egg from one! I wonder if they're good?

  • it would be fun to do a whole dinner with crazy foods.and i want to eat a giant egg! emu woudl be cool i found ostricheggs but they are lijke 50 dolars

  • Oh wow! That is expensive! If you got an ostrich egg, it would have to be during a big family get-together where you could use it to feed everyone, to make it worth the cost and that would be risky as I'm not sure if they would be to everyone's taste- I remember on "The Amazing Race" they were in Africa once & the challenge was to eat an entire scrambled ostrich egg & it wasn't just that it was a lot, but most people weren't happy with the taste! But I would like to try it too!

  • Tasty! It's a very mild tasting egg.

There are fresh versions in the cooler section of better asian supermarkets. I love the way they taste, but they are supposed to be hugely bad for your health (high cholesterol). You can try them fried too!

  • i need to see a tiny litle friedquail egg :)

  • those are really good i like them :D

we "asians" eat them in soups and stuff

  • ooh soup good idea

  • lol at 0:21 *plop*...aaaaah yes, that's REALLY appetizing..

  • i've had those before

    :D

  • do you liek them?
