It bothers me a bit though that so many people bring that into football discussions. I love this fight song. ^.^ It was my high school's fight song before we switched to Notre Dame's (because the new coach went there). I even learned the lyrics. Notre Dame's was so boring to me compared to this (and then my first bowl game in college was against them--go figure). The woodwind parts for this were a bitch, though.

I don't know whether the NCAA counts a forfeiture as a win for the opposing team, but in sports, they do give the "W" to the other team when the forfeiting team concedes the victory. So that's bullshit that Ohio State had 7 consecutive wins over Michigan prior to this season. Ask the Buckeye Nuts about John Cooper's 2-10 record against Michigan. lol Michigan is 58-43-6 against Ohio State.

As a graduate of the University of Michigan, I'm proud of the academic tradition of our university and, yes, it is rated higher than OSU. It bothers me a bit though that so many people bring that into football discussions. If it were academics being discussed and an OSU grad said " Yeah, but we have a better football team!" that would be a ridiculous non-sequitur. The reverse is also ridiculous. (OSU grads- look up "non-sequitur.") The streak will end in November in Ann Arbor!

Even John Phillip Souza said that "Hail to the Victors!" was the greatest football march ever composed. In case you don't know who Souza was, he composed "Stars & Stripes Forever" and other patriotic marches. He was the "king of the march."
