I was never crazy about the 80s metal/rock because in my eyes, it lacked quality and class. Probably the classiest back then (if can call it), is Bon Jovi. But when it came to Whitesnake (and David Coverdale who I've had the pleasure to dine with several times in the past) and Def Leppard, they were tops and to this day, I still love! I still listen to Whitesnake in my car driving to work. Love the Greatest Hits! Think this version of the song kicks-bootie
Vandenburg is great, but this album was actually done with Steve Vai and you can tell by the style of play that this is him. Cheers, it's fantastically done.
@snakewheels It was recorded by John Sykes and it took 2 guitarists to replace him on the tour, which were Vandenberg and Vivian Campbell who played for Dio and now Leppard! Thanks!
@AZRacer2000 Vai recorded this song. Sykes recorded the previous album 1986 with Still of the Night, Cryin' in the Rain...etc. Vai recorded most of Slip of the Tongue in 1989-90. (he was taking too long. 40 passes for each song. 6 months for guitar tracks. Producer brought in studio guitar god, Dan Huff to finish it. Vai did the tour and then quit) Adrian Vandenberg only ever recorded the guitar solo to Here I Go Again...nothing else with Whitesnake. Campbell never recorded with Whitesnake.
@papirgrauzis Had no idea this album even existed. The record company did a great job promoting it...lol! I wiki'd it and was shocked. It was sposed' to be a David Coverdale solo album. Record company released it in Japan, UK and Europe as Whitesnake. Not released in Canada. Swept under the carpet in the USA. Too bad for Adrian.
to bad i cant seem to find love aint no stranger and here is gone from the same "concert" those are the best songs from this acoustic set. starkers in tokyo FTW ^^,

David Coverdale was also a lead singer for Deep Purple at one time and Rainbow as well. He is an amazing artist with a Sexy, beautiful voice.
