Reed is so open-hearted, it's sweet. Poundland are selling a Star Trek 2009 Uhura mug at the moment; it looks a little bit like one of those nudey-lady pens. Alas it's just a regular drinking glass. Chh!
There has always been a big difference between the star trek movies and the tv episodes. I've never liked any of the star trek movies for that reason. They're too cliche and don't experiement with things. That's my opinion.
I happen to agree with him. TNG was one of my favorite shows, but they couldn't make a decent film to save their lives. I wasn't overly impressed with any of the films from TOS either.
Granted they don't make many good films today for comparison purposes, but to label this "the best piece of cinema to be released in this decade" is quite lofty praise. I thought it was marginal. Then again, I can't recall the last time I walked away impressed by a film. It may have been more than a decade.
You do know that the Original Star Trek TOS and TNG timelines are still saved in Star Trek: Online and that is one video game people can't call uncannon because its fully licensed and a lot of people that have written stories on it and they where somehow able to continue it from Nemesis and bring Data back to life (who knew)
@hcvang Meh, there have been some damn good movies here and there. Lord of the Rings, Dark Knight, a few others...not many though. Inception was the most recent movie I can think of that really stirred anything worth calling a feeling.
@idlecs Says the kid from Denmark (seriously, fucking DENMARK? I mean honestly, who the hell is that insignificant little piece of soon to be conquered land?) obsessed with grand theft auto. ROFLFAIL.
Poor guy is kidding himself. This movie will suck. As long as every trek fan tells themself that, then we won't be dissappointed. If it's good, then we'll party.
The Vesquez Rocks is a famous Hollywood location used in many movies, television shows and music videos. It was used in a couple of original Star Trek episodes.
I can't believe I just wasted two minutes of my life watching someone watch something else. LOL :) It's all good. He seems like a good guy. God bless all things Trek.
wow...he's studying that trailer...what is this an ice planet? is that a new federation roadster? then the boy puts it all together and realizes he's not getting "egged."
I lost interest the second we saw the Enterprise being constructed in a fucking field somewhere...
yawn.. a big effect fest. no humanity what so ever.

Your logic is flawed. In this case it would seem "your opinion" will prevent you from seeing the best piece of cinema to be released in this decade.

@JunmaiShu walking out of a cinema, feeling impressed, touched, moved in some way? Hasnt happened since corporations took over the studios.

I didn't know why my friend posted this video of me watching the Star Trek trailer, but I guess with over 3000 views, there's an audience for this.
Wait until my friend posts a video of me watching the whole movie. Ha ha. Even better if he posts it before the movie gets released into theatres!
