Exactly, HP is just an equation that rates power by when & where the engine makes torque & how high it revs. Honda engines rev high but most of them have low displacement so they really aren't making much torque.
@ the other end of the spectrum. Diesel engines have a shit load of torque but dont rev high so they dont make much power.

Hey jayon, if you got the money for the swap a K20a is a good idea. Unfortunately they are expensive swaps. If you're on a budget, like most of us, a B18C1 gsr swap would be the way to go, or you can go with a H22/H23 from a prelude. It all depends on your budget, bro. I'd say save the extra couple grand up, and go with the K20 though. It's a beasty motor and not as common in ur 98 as a B-series is.
Hey TC2487, I'm assuming you have a d-series aka sohc. If you do then yes you need a b-series aka dohc tranny, along with the motor mounts, axles and I believe the shift linkage (not 100 percent sure on eg/ej). Depending on what u want, you can have longer gears with a LS integra tranny for more top-speed or shorter gears with a B16 tranny for more acceleration. It all depends on your goal with the car.

@NothingButAMG Horsepower is mathematically dependent on the torque and the rpm that it is achieved. So really it depends on where the engine performs the best. A diesel truck engine is most efficient at low rpms so they generally have a lot of torque but lower hp numbers. A small honda engine is most efficient at high rpms say between 6k and 9k so it will have high hp, low torque. I don't think this guy is planning on pulling trailers or anything so the amount of torque isn't really important

@7707Allen err yes hondas can make 600whp off one turbo...im not really arguing im jus kind of...informing you about it. i made 523 whp with my civic, the front end actually has to be dropped for stability...the motor isnt done, ill be making somewhere in the 550-600whp range when im done.

@AviaMarine The whole engine would have to be rebuilt and the turbo would have to be really fucking big, which alone is going to cost you more than a couple grand for a good one. All I'm saying is this car doesn't put out 600hp until I see the results, end of story.

@7707Allen, v-tech isnt slow bud civic si's prelude si's and Integras all out preformed camaro v6s and will even hold there own against fords 4.6 (They blow 3.8s out) and 190-200hp in that little car does a world of hurt to your $30,000 mucle... and it only cost $14k for a completly optioned out honda coupe (except higher end models) so put another 16k into your 200hp car and its going to be very fast lol shit most mucle in the 90's didnt exceed 270hp until 1998 with LS1 and w.e. fords p.o.s is

People need to understand that a car might have 600 hp that does not mean your'e putting all 600 to the ground. I would bet any money a GTR could take that honda and it's not the extra 50 - 60 hp. I can tell you that now. Its the balance of the car mixed with AWD. This is a great video and the car sounds awsome!
