Palin didn't answer many questions, instead used talking points and did not answer how McCain would be different than Bush. Biden answered the questions and won the debate on that. At times, Palin disregarded the questions and went on her talking points. Biden made his case for Obama and pointed out McCain's flaws while answering the questions.

Palin came across as a "Stepford candidate" who was programmed to say a series of talking point. On the other hand Biden was articulate, spontaneous, and very real and thats what the audience saw.

I thought she was very condescending, and had no vision of McCain/Palin ticket would be different than the last 8 years. She must have said Maverick at least eight times referring to herself and John McCain. She used the words of Ronald Reagan a lot and yet she spoke and acted like GW.

I think it was a tie for the casual viewer. The average person that's less informed and doesn't pay much attention day to day has heard she's horrible (she is). Biden is just expected to deliver (and he did). So with the idea Biden did as well as expected and Palin doing a little better than expected the less informed will say "she's not THAT bad". Biden won but the person not paying attention won't catch it. Garsh darn it, You betcha I got it. Doggone right! Maverick POW.
