  • This is really good, nice beats like talking a step back. I can just imagine Guru dropping a few verses on here!

  • Ok, cool I think we're on the same page then with regards to "ear". I plan to run it through tape after I finish cutting the beat how I want it. Thanks so much for the advice.

  • That's a dope idea! I'm inspired now to really get creative to get why I want. Have you got ideas for compressing? Or do you reckon it sounds better without?

  • @chaseaston for my ears 60 sounds better without unless you have some really good compressor. the only good compressor I used for my 60 so far is reel to reel tape machine :0)

  • Hey mate, how did you get the echo effect on the horns? Did you use the echo mix ports on the back, or are you able to do it internally? I just got my MPC 60 and I'm trying to figure out how to do this, as well as EQ (I think I have to EQ before sampling into the MPC) and also reverb. I've got the same OS as you. Peace!

  • @chaseaston leave sensitivity at 100% and do echo yourself. eq rather before sampling but there's no rules. do experiments and check what sounds better for your ears:o) peace.

  • all around dope yo!

  • @NexroMr z ebay z Orlando, USA. tłukł się tu prawie miesiąc.

  • @michal23pl keep going what you doing, I love that sound!

How do you get that phatt sound? I have s950, I make my drums with Motif or in daw then run through s950 but it does not sound right if compare your drum?

or do you drums tracking through tape mashine or preamp?

Can you describe step by step an what you use?

  • @Peteraardz hi. nothing much really. In this video it goes like this: LP's on Technics sl1200 -> shure m 44-7 needle -> vestax pmc06 mixer -> Cable Talk rca to 1/4 cable -> mpc60 and straight to the NI Audio Kontrol 1 interface with Planet Vaves 1/4 cables from stereo out. no preamps or anything else in this video in order to give a reference mpc60 sound. IMO 90% of sound is a needle and a proper turntable adjustment:)

  • @michal23pl You mean that drum sample sound comes from vinyl LP then going though mpc60?

  • @Peteraardz i sampled single hits straight from LP's as you can hear at the beginning. kick from here, snare from there etc. and yes, basically sampler is the only thing between source and audio interface.

  • This is one of the best 60 beats I've heard so far. Nice job man!! 10 out of 10

  • Ładna linia basu :)

  • Even with the backlight out that is still one sexy ass 60.

  • DOBRE? ZAJEBISTE!!! ORIGINAL!!!!

  • SICK HIPHOP!!!!!!!!!!

  • question how did u do that bassline? was it in the sample already?

  • @noezelaya7 nah. I played that in 16pitch mode and one shot bass.

  • naprawde dobre brat !

  • Wow it caught me by surprised ans put me in some sort of a tracne. A++++++++ !

Where can we download you art dude?

  • Smooth!!

  • what's the sample?

  • @latteconblob it was something from Polish Jazz series:) can't remember which album/volume.

  • nice, drums are dope!

  • damn I loved my 60

  • Thats real gangsta man. What delay did you use?

  • @ruslanio thanks. there's no delay efx on this one. i did it myself using velocity sensitivity (hitting pad less hit after hit).

  • @michal23pl wow thats a pretty dope technique since you didnt have a delay effect!

  • scsi option ftw bro

  • @jwt303 yeah. no doubt.

  • nice to see someone still using the mp
