@hougp53 ..it is more or less a prisoner's dress..you can't see the stripes on kurta/ shirt because of the jacket..caps are provided to every prisoner even today...this film was shot in 70's.you can't compare now and then.jail code and dress have changed over the years.moreover some cinematic liberties have to be accepted.in cold places, prisoners can wear a blanket/ jacket based on health conditions and special permission..nowadays some jailbirds are being fed biriyaani!!!!!..then
