  • love the horn noob that said it sounds like a wounded elephant he needs to respect the titanic

  • it sounds like an angel singing

  • I heard this once before some years ago. It's still beautiful.. Bunch of sick comments hare. 1500 people died on that ship. Maybe that means nothing to some of these f***ers

  • @307OLDS wtf u nasty dude -.- u have no respect for the titanic or for the people who died wen it sank :(

  • You guys are disgusting with your sick comments.

  • I would have dove the hell off if i heard that.

  • Thats what my girls pussy sounds like when I pull my cock out.

  • Chills of rememberance and yet Why ??? this 2011 that was 1912 and again Why ???

  • It's a beautiful sound...and yet...probably enough to bring tears to one's eyes.

  • steam powered horn?

  • NAFF sounds like wet FART! thnk god we have moved on !

  • @zuneluver,u sound like a wounded elephant titanics hoorn sounds pretty

  • DIRECTLY AFTER THE HORN IS BLOWN, YOU CAN HEAR A VERY SHORT SCREAM IN 0:05. CREEPY. I THINK ITS A BAD SIGN

  • @ianobey11 the video this sound came from had a crowd, thats why

  • @ianobey11

    Thats a seagull.

  • @ianobey11 That is because it was blown in Minneapolis many years ago at the Titanic exhibit. It was in front of thousands of people and I was fortunate enough to hear it. However they used compressed air and not steam due to the fear it would shatter. The scream you heard was the crowd applauding.

  • wow , it's actually quite moving , IKNOW i sound like a wierdo but it does

  • I was waiting to hear the war of the worlds "tripod" horn lol

  • it's called a WHISTLE damn u!

  • Technically blowing it with compressed air isn't really an accurate example of how it originally sounded. it was designed to be blown with STEAM. steam is denser than air. so it's sort of like a helium effect. should really be deeper.

  • @Karagianis Yes. And steam also heats the chambers causing the sound to become richer and deeper as the blast continues. There is another YouTube posting of the Mauretania's whistle being blown on a low-pressure steam system at a factory where it was reused after the ship was scrapped. This is the same type of whistle, though the Titanic's was bigger and tuned deeper. The sound is closer to what the Titanic whistle would sound like, but less pressure.

  • luv that horn

  • That's the sound I make when I orgasm.

  • it's called a whistle you tool

  • @Tl81293 In the legalese of the Rules of the Road(both Inland & International),they are whistles. However, most people call them "horns".One weekend boater was trying to tell me that my whistle light was stuck on but kept calling it a "horn light" so I was motoring downriver wondering "WTF is this guy talking about?" It wasn't until end of watch that I realized it & sent the leadman up on the roof to fix it.

  • it sounds like ship simulator titanics horn

  • @kalebsthebest67 Well, yea, because that's what the whistle sounded like...

However, they recovered an original whistle from the wreck, and blew a little bit of pressurized air into it... and we got to hear Titanic's voice for the first time, since the sinking.

  • 'And the ghosts of the hundreds lost, shall sound in the deep.'

I'm not sure where I remember that from, but here it seems to work. We've brought a tiny part of them back, maybe it counts.

  • @modawg8k that's what I said! It sounds weird to hear something that so many people died on. It's creepy

  • @Jonasluverch you will find at shipsimulator 2008 there you have got the titanic and listening than to the horn;)

  • most beautiful sound ever

  • how did they find the horn from the wreck?

  • did any body see the show supernatural about two weeks ago were that saved the titanic from sinking? and there wa alot more pepole on earth today

  • 4 stacks and only 3 were real

  • that's earie sounding

  • Great sound.

    Too bad the Titanic sank.

    It was a beautiful ship.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @justinBlast19 Well, not ALL of them.

  • compare that to a BC ferry 3-tone whistle

  • @Kamikuru77,

Titanic did sink. its wreak is right there in the atlantic. rotting away. to implode in 40-90 years

  • You can really imagine those cunts drowning in the water when you hear that horn ...

  • @BarryDennen12 its cunts like you i want to drowned.

  • Crappy horn o.o

  • @XXkillacocopuffXX what the hell do you mean this is beautiful fuck u

  • Thats why it sank. It sounds like a wounded elephant.

  • @zuneluvr Yes, but I also think the sound is beautiful

  • @zuneluvr lol

  • @zuneluvr it crashed a ice block

  • @TheDe202 No shit, he was making a joke.

  • piece of history

  • Really creepy, as if you can hear and feel the death of the people on it

  • Ship sim 2006/2008?

  • Titanic had a very gentle horn.

  • @genchandy my penis had a gentle cum too

  • @potbd The 1523 that died premature deaths on the Titanic didnt think it was stupid.

Perhaps you should choose your comments more wisely, I agree the Titanic was a stupid idea but nonetheless people died and you should remember that.

  • @meguell3 titanic was a gay movie, never happend just like the hollohoax

  • After writing the previous comment, I read much earlier comments which explained the recording. Now I can't delete my comment.

  • I would like to know more about how the sound was recorded in 1912. Where was the phonograph located for the recording? Why was this horn recorded? It would have been like recording the alarm sounds on a 767 now. Did the White Star Line commission the recording? How was this recording preserved?

  • @BlankBrain i love the horn i even watched the movie

im age 9 ( slaps mouth)

  • so eerie!

  • @potbd oasis = ghetto boat

  • The six people that disliked this video are knobs...

  • @subiedriver1990 or survivors..........

  • When Titanic pulled the liner New York away from her birth, that was awesome.

  • poor titanic :( rip 4\14\1912

  • back then they used steam..now its compresed air..major diference

  • dam thats a nice horn rip titanic and the ppl who died on it

  • omg i hope u all realize this sound is from ship simulator 2006............

  • I love the sound of transatlantic liners's horns.

  • how did you get the sound?

  • @4freespeech shut up

  • @4freespeech your a bastard. My great grandfather was one of the 1500 that died. so shut up, that ship was built to get to america, nobody thought she would sink

    .

  • This Is haunting video to say that's the horn of a great ship which is no longer and the black and White pics haunt me to

  • I've spent the last 16 years of my life researching Titanic. To hear her whistle definitely hits home. To the 1,523 men, women, and children who perished on April 15th, 1912: You will not be forgotten!!

  • Comment removed

  • is that how it really sounded?

  • I heard that the whistle was actually underblown because they didn't want to destroy the whistle so it wouldn't have truely sounded like that (maybe)

  • it scares me for some reason.......? i do not know why

  • lol old man farting

  • lol! The two pitches of the horn are at the interval of a tritone the "Diabolus in Musica".

  • It's both haunting yet beautiful at the same time. <3

  • They said not even god could put down that ship.

  • @ebayman2 but with the bottom of ur ship gon in several key places not much u can do

  • @zombiekid91 i dont really get what your saying but they said god could not put down that ship but a little iceberg compared to god out in the middle of the sea could sink it

  • if i was on a BRIDGE ON A FOGGY DAY AND I'D JUST HEARSD THIS I WOULD BE SCARED SHITLESS

  • Yes... There was no sound recording back in 1910-1920. This is just the fake sound that is used and ship simulator 1-2. And yes the 3 chime horn was salvaged but it is not in workable condition.

  • @happymoego Wrong, there was sound recording back then.

  • what the hell!

  • I understand that the Titanic's 3 chime siren was salvaged and was to be restored in Minnesota? Is this it?

  • I have a stupid question, how do you know that's what it sounded like?

I don't believe that we had sound recordings back then, only film.

    Sounds great though!

  • its sounds beautiful but if i knew that was going to hapeen it would scare me RIP titanic

  • The most beautiful voice of the most beautiful ship!

  • Titanic's horn sounds so beautiful to me. Titanic was the greatest ship in the world and i hope she can rest in peace.

  • it was a very soft horn

  • Titanic sure had a gentle horn.

I can always imagine her as a godess ship!

  • I MEAN SCRAPPED

  • in an ALT universe the titanic was probably sadly sold for an extremely low price then crapped. and another bigger ship sank with twice the casuilties because the safety measures were never put in

  • @waterdude315 you put a good point there, that means all other ships at the time like Lusitania and Britannic would have had hundreds of more casualties.

  • that's creepy

  • said this years ago and il say it again if titanic hit that ice berg straight on it would still be here today

  • @pMcARDENboyz exactly

  • I am so sorry, i deleted your comemnt from my video and didn't know how else to inform you than to put a commen here! Please delete it after u read it!

  • It's a pity we can't raise the victims and blow air through their bones - I bet it'd sound just as scary!

  • that gave me goosebumps like no other.

  • ahh i thought that was coming out

  • do you think they sounded the same in 1912

  • The 4th funnel on the Titanic was put on just for looks.

  • @fonephat: True, it didn't go to the boiler rooms, but it did have the purpose of sending out the kitchen fumes, but it was mainly there for looks.

  • That's creepy

  • @ezekielwahwah agree

  • @ezekielwahwah IKR?!?

  • D: I guess it's not real :(

  • That's a real recording of the horn, right?

  • @Beatlesman99: I don't think that they had proper recording equipment of the whistles back in 1912, and the last time they were blown was back in 1999, so I think, that this was blown in 1999.

  • Under the sea, under the sea.

Darlin' it's better, down where it's wetter, take it from me!

Up on the shore they work all day, out in the sun they slave away!

While we devotin' full time to floatin' under the sea!

    Sorry...

  • haha funny

  • Magnificent!

  • Thats not the real horn thats a pic of titanic and the horn is from the titanic in virtual sailor 7 play the titanic in virtual sailor 7 and press ``H`` and wala the horn is like in the video

  • Who took the horns of the ship and were are they now ?

  • A set of whistles was brought up from the wreck and sounded. The sound was weak because they were on compressed air rather than hot steam and the pressure was only half, as they were afraid the old whistles might crack. It would be a richer, fuller sound with full-pressure steam.

  • Here's why in the movie, the sound was WAAAY LOUDER! It was kinda "manipulated"... That's how the ship 's horns would sound like. :)

  • Comment removed

  • ur a prick

  • Titanic had a gentle horn.

  • they got a horn of the ship iirc?

  • to me it's the most beautiful sound in the world :)

  • @prego666 Are you deaf?

  • @SBDTHRU I lol'd

  • It's almost like it's going "Help, help, I'm drowning!"

  • sounds like a steam engine whistle that just woke up XD

  • Sounds like it's gasping for air.

  • they made some Replica whistles of Titanic's, then recorded that sound and Ship Simulator got hold of it somehow!

  • what i have to decir es awachinala

  • Imagine being in front of that! :D

  • it would be ok if u were an iceberg, we all know what happened there

  • lol ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR splat

  • the titanic sunk on my b day! april 15

  • me too....scary......

  • it sank on the 14th.

  • No. It hit the iceberg at 23:40 (11:40 pm) on the 14th, but sank at 02:15 on the 15th.

  • It sank 02:20 on April the 15th.

  • ferrari 296, THAT's SOOOOO FREAKY

  • its air. due to how frail the horn is, they had to use compressed air.

  • They Didn't Want To Destroy The Whistles,LOL You'd Be Outta Shape Too If you Were Chillin Down On The Bottom Of the Ocean For Almost a Century Doing Nothing. ;D

  • Isn't that from Ship Simulator?

  • They Brought Up Titanics Whistles And Sounded Them For A Live Audience, While At The Same Time They Recorded The Actual Sound.

Then Ship Simulator Got Ahold Of The ACTUAL RECORDING And Put It ON The Titanic In They're Game, Pretty Cool Huh?

  • wow, thats amazing to actually hear that. i thought it was lost forever?

  • That sounds like the real thing, is it?

  • it is the actual whistle fro the titanic

  • Using steam or air?

  • air.

  • what a mighty voice!

  • i love titanic

  • R.I.P. Titanic

Best ship ever. There will never be a ship more beautiful or great. Ships have many things to ensure the passengers enjoy their stay, but Titanic did it first. Too bad her sister Olympic was turned into scrap.

  • @purplerose1918 Best ship ever?... Well.. Not really XD

  • @purplerose1918

Olympic was almost identical to titanic in every sense. The only thing that makes Titanic so special is the fact that it sank. You want to see a liner with some serious luxury? It's all about the Normandie. Look up some interior pics of that liner.

  • @MiKeMaLiCe666 look up some interior pics of the epic. it has a bar made of ice

  • @purplerose1918 Best ship ever? How can you say that when the metal was high in sulfur and it was made too fast?

  • @purplerose1918 AMEN TO THAT BROTHER

  • titanic was a beautiful ship and it whistle sounds beautiful to i wish it was still around

  • This whistle was not blown at the full psi... shame, it would be so beautiful to hear Titanic's voice, rather than her ghostly moan....

Also, this DOES match Titanic's whistle in Ship Simulator 2008 very well.

  • thats an erie sound >.>

  • Ship Simulator 2008.

  • nice!!
