  • This is the best a Valve King has ever sounded.

  • Check out the tunes on my channel. I used the Hot British for my sounds

  • Thats impressive sounds pretty close to me I have a TB plexitube but never got around to using it Thanks for posting this loved the tone and playing VH riffs

  • @gimli615 Thank you for the kind words. Rock on.

  • itd be nice to turn of the phaser in some parts but it was good

  • @thojyout23 agreed.

  • At first I thought it was the actual song. One thing for sure, you got the tone almost right on. You using a tonebone I believe.

  • @2cool4u24 Thanks man. I was using the Radial ToneBone Plexitube. It was an amazing pedal. But I hated the second channel on it. I sold it to simplify my playing. I realized I focused so much on Eddies tone, that I complete forgot what playing guitar was all about.. ITS ABOUT NOTES!!!

I got caught up in the hype. Now I'm running an Epiphone Valve Sr. with the same phaser, delay and flanger. But with a MI Audio Crunch Box.

  • @Labtec86 Actually playing guitar is about having fun, covering a song, like playing Van Halen, is about notes, and equally important about covering a VH song is the tone, but for just playing around its all about having fun. Amazing tone tho, very dead on.

  • @PoundcakePlaysMW2 I agree with you on that.

The more I listen to this, the crappier it sounds. but it was fun recording it. Playing VH music is loads of fun!

  • Nice tone. Sounds pretty close.

  • @2cool4u24 hey thanks for the comment. but the more I listen to it.. the worse it sounds. lol

  • nice video man. just be yourself.

(This is for everyone reading)No one can get Edward's exact sound because its from IN HIS HEAD! You may get close, but theres two elements missing here. His soul/vibe and his finger. Those are the real tone makers. Still you got pretty close, im impressed :)

  • @backseatdriver03 Thanks dude. Im glad u like it. since it wasnt even close to his set up. most of it was practice and my ears. but none the less. you are right there.

  • @Labtec86 it would sound much better through a better amp,,LOL

  • Nothing like the EVH sound.

  • @profpopsicle yeah.. you're right. thats why its an attempt and clearly i failed lol..

  • @profpopsicle It's just too thick on the bass, it just needs that extra push of sparkle on the high end and it would be DAMN close.

  • @PoundcakePlaysMW2 Yeah. come to think of it, you are right. My taste in the so called brown sound always changes. Somedays I feel like its too thin, then its too muddy. Will give it a shot.

  • Hi Guy! Your setup really sound like Van Halen tone. Is really next. I have never heard best than your. Peaveys 5150 don`t produce never the 80`s Van halen sound. I have a Peavey Valveking 100H With the Valveking 4x12 cabinet speaker and now i`m shure i will buy one phaser and radial like yours. Thank You Very Much! Congratulations!

  • nailed it bro !!! and im fussy when it comes to my van halen sound in almost bang on

  • Brown sound is right Total shitty wast of time JUST BUY HIS FUCKING AMP AND WOLFGANG GUITAR and u got it BY the time u spenty all the money on finding his tone yourself u coulda bought his set up 1500 for the 5150 and 3000 for the wolfgang Go get it use what ever for cabnets

  • right away. I'll do it this afternoon.

  • Not saying theres anyting wtong with what u did YOU FOUND HIS SOUND lol but ive done the same thing spent a shitload of money on unessasary things to find that perfect tone WERE ALL TONE CHASERS lol but after i bought the amp and the wolfgang aside the wolfgang theres no guitar on the planet that compares to its clarity and ity holds pinch harmonics like a dream lol if u buy anything get a WOLFGANG guitar U WILL LOVE THIS THING i wish i could let you play mine

  • @odin5150 not everyone has the money or space to pack all eddies gear...grow up buddy and get a life!, really...you're probably like 12 right?

    I question people like you.

  • ya good. you should get a pinnacle 2 i have it and it really nails that tone

  • Yeah I saw the vids for that pedal. But I bought this one about 5 minutes before I heard of Pinnacle. I wish I didnt rush into this one. I also changed up my amp to a Laney LC 30. So ... maybe my whole sound will change.

  • ya my setup is a peavy classic 50 w/ the pinnacle 2, phase ninety and MXR flanger. now i'm just saving for celestion greenbacks

  • nice @ the celestions, gotta save up for those as well as new tubes.

    thanks for the comment.

  • Its not exact, but I don't think anyone is dead on with this, it sounds pretty good.

  • Dude I really recommend swiching out the speaker to that ValveKing. There really bad.Put a Celestion in. I got the 100watt ValveKing Head with 4x12 Celestions.

  • I switched out the amp itself. I found a good deal on Laney Lc 30, I traded it in. I didn't like the valve king at all. Seemed like a total rip off. Maybe I'll be wiser next time. I heard lots of mods you can do for the Valveking like speakers and tubes, but I didnt wanna see that thing again. Laney seems to be working for me quite well.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • @Labtec86 How did u have the Phase 90 modded? Mine's broke and I want to get it fixed and modded at the same time

  • @theShowStopper321 I removed two resistors. It has less of a sweep on the frequency. So its almost Script Logo Phaser from the 70's. Check it out. you can do it yourself in less than 5 minutes with the correct basic tools.

  • what does a plexitube do?

  • nice

  • nice dude ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!
