DAC wrote a lot of great songs, so yes he has as much of a right to be there. Two of the greatest men in country music right there, one a great singer and the other a great songwriter. It doesn't get better than that and today's country music doesn't even come close.

@derekeverett -- I agree. I went to a package show where he was opening for Willie Nelson. We were looking at DAC's CD's and saw songs about n-ggers and whores and lot's of related racist and obscenity laden material. It really lowered my opinion of him. I've never known of any other artist ( from country music) to write that kind of stuff even if their beliefs leaned that direction. I'm no prude. Don't mind sexual lyrics to a degree but outright obscenity and blatant racism is unacceptable.

Those songs were recorded at a time where he had to do what he had to. they were for biker bars and its what they wanted to hear. there is a bunch of songs out there tho that are not Dac they are johnny rebel and made to believe by many that they are dac. please look past what you dont like and enjoy what you do. those songs will not be played live ever again just sold to help raise the family
