he mentioned in an interview that he got his start at 17 doing a shortened version of this skit for a radio contest where you had to do impressions. The troll doll is something he got as a graduation gift, so he did impressions of different celebrities advertising it (Bill Cosby, Jerry Seinfeld, etc) and ended up winning the contest and 500 bucks hahaha
