I love this episode I have Old Bailey's pump truck in the old wooden range and ertl hope it comes out in take n play you can see it in series 14 onwards and it is best seen in series 15 episode Stop That Bus
Yep. Me and my brother got the crap scared out of us watching the Spooks and Surprises video. Even now I find this kind of creepy. I was especially scared by "Who's there?".
this episode really freaked me out when i was little, especially when edward told the story about the owl hooting, the mist rolling in, and the legend about an old ghost who wanders the old line.
when i watched this when i was younger, i was left absolutely petrified... i didnt want to be left alone in a room, because the haunting music kept playing in my head :S
all scary episodes are true episodes.......... they made the new engines series(thomas and friends) more babyish then all age so they don't make them scary.
Everyone, you need to stop being VERY realistic. True there are anomalies, but then, engines haven't really got faces, trucks don't really push trains and The real version of Henry never left his tunnel ,but it doesn't matter. it was a good show. emphasis on WAS.
@MrJoeyWheeler thanks a lot foghorn you just destroyed all children who wach this imaginations, why dont you just say there going to rot in the ground and not go to heaven when they die
why would Henry want to push his train the second time if I were him I'd be scared about anything to come and scare me from behind at this situation it would be the only time being a middle engine would be a good thing
oh i always found this creepy when i was little! one of the best from series 5 suprised how spooky it was, it still kina gives me the creeps with the mist, lighting and the fogman's coat, but i always realised they used a fade transition @ 0:35
For some reason, the fogman's coat at 1:15 used to scare me the most. I don't know why but I think it was the way the driver said "ah ah ah" when he saw it.
i like the the old ones better they yoused to teach you about trains now it's all about the new engines plus eddwod is never on there sorry about the spelling
i dpn't think i've seen this one before, but it's brilliant. dispite being apperantly too old for thomas (I'm 11),i always watch it secretly on youtube and i feel the need to ambrassingly get the hornby thomas trains create my own episode. i remember always finding 'Rusty and the boulder' scary. and 'Percy and the Dragon',that used to really scare me.
Edward's talk about the legend proves how wise he is. My friend Henry always used to say the very same words henry says at 0:26, Tidmouthsheds and Meanmanmartin would u say that is weird.
where is the guard's van?

In a sense Trucks push trains, if the brakes arn't applied, stopping causes the shifting loads to 'push' the trains.

o.35 to 1.40 was the scariest shot of all
vapourblast 2 years ago
A. If there was so much fog, the train shouldn't have gone
B. Why use the old line?
C. Why did the train have to go at night?
D. Shouldn't there have been a guards van at the front of the train?
E. Why push it?
F. Are the trucks suicidal?
G. The coupling wouldn't break that easily
H. Henry had way more than enough strength to stop a couple of trucks
