  • where is the guard's van?

  • "A mysterious figure watched Henry go by" How mystic and haunting *shiver* My favourite episode.

  • This episode reminds me of Jamaica Inn in Cornwall, its haunting themes are a resemblance

  • Anytime I see this episode, I still get freaked out when I see Henry's face at 1:27

  • stupid bird

    lol

  • this was the creepiest episode i've ever watched.

  • @tkd1501 yeah this is one of the most scariest thomas episodes ever

  • The face of the truck facing Henry is enough to spook anyone.

  • ahahahahah nice comment

  • Old Bailey's an asshole.

  • The term Old Bailey is one of the courts in London

  • @Visonu Yeah Delboy mentions it in Only Fools and Horses Episode Wanted

  • in my opinion this is the most creepy, second is toby and the flood and third is rusty and the boulder

  • The Creepiest Thomas episode was "Rusty and The Boulder." one. That gave me goosebumps. This is a close second.

  • I love this episode I have Old Bailey's pump truck in the old wooden range and ertl hope it comes out in take n play you can see it in series 14 onwards and it is best seen in series 15 episode Stop That Bus

  • :O 3:07

  • The gauze in front of the dwarf light, plus the rotting trees and the old house is horribly creepy!

  • For a kids show, this is pretty damn creppy.

    I LOVE IT.

  • Man this episode totally spooked me when I was younger, still does tbh

  • @fh154wv Same with me actually! :P

  • Yep. Me and my brother got the crap scared out of us watching the Spooks and Surprises video. Even now I find this kind of creepy. I was especially scared by "Who's there?".

  • This and Duncan gets Spooked used to scare me shitless!! Even so, season 5 was the best season! :D

  • @XReiKaoriX agreed duncan gets spooked scared me for years when i was young.

  • I agree. At my house we had this box-set spooks and surprises right?

It scared me to death. Gave me nightmares. Is it just me or do those trees look like they've been tortured to death?

  • May I use this footage?

  • This episode use to scare me yet it was my favorite one.

  • i dont care what people say about me watching this stuff THIS TAKES TALENT TO DO

  • scariest for the big train eps and duncan gets spooked for the lil trains

  • this episode really freaked me out when i was little, especially when edward told the story about the owl hooting, the mist rolling in, and the legend about an old ghost who wanders the old line.

  • @Blackops12396 me too

  • i still get scared by this LOL thank god im not the only one! i love their spooky ones though theyre the best

  • this episode still give me the shivers and im 20 lol but is a gd one though

  • They named that man Old Bailey after the criminal court in London

  • when i watched this when i was younger, i was left absolutely petrified... i didnt want to be left alone in a room, because the haunting music kept playing in my head :S

  • @Thorpedo619 Yeah, it is just you. but I understand how you would see it that way.

  • is it me or Henry's paintwork seems darker in this episode

  • one of the most spine-chilling episodes ever made

  • i am 14 and this still scares me

  • lol Gordon at 2:15

  • What's up with the beware signs? Beware the virduct. Beware the waterfall? I think the rev was going to link these but he died before he could.

  • I have this episode on tape. I got it when I was 3 or 4 or something. Every time I watch this, I still have to turn on lights to watch it. Creepy.

  • michael angelis did a great job on this episode and all episode from season 3 to 7

  • 3:34 - 3:35 you can see the face piece on one of the trucks come loose, and flap around a tiny bit.

  • all scary episodes are true episodes.......... they made the new engines series(thomas and friends) more babyish then all age so they don't make them scary.

  • This used to scare me so much lol

  • I gre up listening to alec baldwin but ringo star is best

  • AMBER LAMPS!!!

  • @ 0:45 AMBER LAMP!

  • A lot of trucks die in season 5

  • But when nightfall came he was sizzling nicely, like a sausage.

  • Used to shit myself watching this one.

Fuck the us version! Ringo ftw!

  • @wolfbeing He's Micheal Angelis not Ringo Starr.

  • Everyone, you need to stop being VERY realistic. True there are anomalies, but then, engines haven't really got faces, trucks don't really push trains and The real version of Henry never left his tunnel ,but it doesn't matter. it was a good show. emphasis on WAS.

  • @MrJoeyWheeler thanks a lot foghorn you just destroyed all children who wach this imaginations, why dont you just say there going to rot in the ground and not go to heaven when they die

  • @MrJoeyWheeler

In a sense Trucks push trains, if the brakes arn't applied, stopping causes the shifting loads to 'push' the trains.

  • Thomasmodeler

    I. how were the trucks able to pull henry anyway?

  • vapourblast

o.35 to 1.40 was the scariest shot of all

  • A. If there was so much fog, the train shouldn't have gone

    B. Why use the old line?

    C. Why did the train have to go at night?

    D. Shouldn't there have been a guards van at the front of the train?

    E. Why push it?

    F. Are the trucks suicidal?

    G. The coupling wouldn't break that easily

    H. Henry had way more than enough strength to stop a couple of trucks

  • And if the viaduct was repaired, then how come nobody warned them about the landslide?

  • it could have happened after it was repaired but before the train came.

  • you pay good attention

  • why would Henry want to push his train the second time if I were him I'd be scared about anything to come and scare me from behind at this situation it would be the only time being a middle engine would be a good thing

  • o look henry's spooked

  • 1:26 was the most scariest shot for me

  • same here. i mean im too old to watch this (im 17) but this episode scares me the most mainly because of henrys face @ 1:26. creepy

  • Alec Baldwin was not a particularly good narrator, but then again, Michael Angelis was no better.

  • No, Angelis was good for a while..........although now not so much

  • This is my favorite episode and it is the most scariest thomas episode ever made!

  • oh i always found this creepy when i was little! one of the best from series 5 suprised how spooky it was, it still kina gives me the creeps with the mist, lighting and the fogman's coat, but i always realised they used a fade transition @ 0:35

  • was this an actual episode?

  • at 3:32 the one of the trucks face came off

  • I love the spooky stories

  • Instead of no-one replied change it to someone replied

  • Comment removed

  • For some reason, the fogman's coat at 1:15 used to scare me the most. I don't know why but I think it was the way the driver said "ah ah ah" when he saw it.

  • @NinjaspidaZ same here. scared the living sawdust out of me.

  • i like the the old ones better they yoused to teach you about trains now it's all about the new engines plus eddwod is never on there sorry about the spelling

  • GHOSTBUSTERS!!!

  • it wasn't henry's faces that scared me, it was gordon's angry face that made me hide behind the sofa

  • Well, at least Michael Angelis isn't like alec baldwin. James isn't gay, Henry doesn't have Hayfever, Gordon's not retarded, etc.

  • the creepy element of this episode was well done in my opinion

  • its like a thomas/scooby doo crossover

  • this is wat thomas should be like

  • Toby and the flood creeped me out

  • @gabrielsrock007 me too well when i was a little kid

  • It's not the episode that's scary, it's Henry's mad faces that used to give me terrible nightmares. Especially on [[0:29]]

  • When I was like 8 the music kept me awake for weeks...

  • Same. The whole trees and fog and objects and light gave me the creeps, I couldn't watch this again once when I was young. This was really freaky!

  • @davidshadow08 The trucks face when he said "OH LOOK! HENRY's SPOOKED!"

made me piss myself when I was young.

  • @davidshadow08 I agree w/you. I'm 18 and this episode scares the hell out of me. Especially at 1:25. that is scary.

  • @davidshadow08 same here

  • i agree with u and i krtp hearing it in my head

  • i dpn't think i've seen this one before, but it's brilliant. dispite being apperantly too old for thomas (I'm 11),i always watch it secretly on youtube and i feel the need to ambrassingly get the hornby thomas trains create my own episode. i remember always finding 'Rusty and the boulder' scary. and 'Percy and the Dragon',that used to really scare me.

  • @HTprods I know just how you feel mate,I know just how you feel.

  • The scary music shits me up lol

  • everyone says they see a trucks face come off, but ive gone over loads of times and never seen it...

  • when they fall into the ravine, a trucks face comes partly off. Keep watching carefully, as it bounces a bit

  • I love this episode, even though people say I'm a bit old for Thomas, I love it!

When I was younger, the trucks face at 2:19 scared the crap outta me

  • Yeah I love it too! Only it's the fogman's coat use to give me the creeps..

  • This episode scared the crap out off me!

  • Edward's talk about the legend proves how wise he is. My friend Henry always used to say the very same words henry says at 0:26, Tidmouthsheds and Meanmanmartin would u say that is weird.

  • spooky episode

  • Why is a fogman's coat hanging on a tree in the middle of the night?

  • IT"S OLD BAILY"S COAT!!!

  • I saw the second truck's face shake

  • The first pic is scary becuse of the tree.

  • Old Thomas Was Better

  • yeah sHIT entertainment totally fucked it up

  • the cgi is actualy funny

  • 0:51 is a creepy shot, mainly because of Henry's face

  • With ya.

  • the troublesome trucks faces all fell off and all water was vary deep

  • i like the troublesome trucks inn the story

  • when the trucks fell into the ravine the second coal truck's face came off and back on when the van hit it..... how spooky?

  • haha i love how they scarfice the freight cars lol

  • Old Bailey looks like George Carlin.Yay! :D

  • Comment removed

  • In the US version, when it airs on PBS Kids Sprout, Henry's line: "Stupid Bird!" is edited! Why?!

  • [sarcasm] Because using the word stupid is awful! [sarcasm]

  • That's no excuse!

  • a bit to scary for kids

  • i don't think , i liked the spooky episodes as a kid and they got no complaints about it

  • i liked the spooky episodes too; they gave me imagination whilist playing with my ertl engines

and now i still think how much i enjoyed this episode

  • yeh when i was little i loved this one, and i was scared of alot of things

  • i seen fog that thick before

  • I loved ghosts on island of sodor.

  • when the trucks land in the ravine, one of the trucks almost loses its face!!

  • thats what i noteite aswell lol

  • i feel bad for that little truck.

  • in the lower right corner right?
