I saw this film over the weekend in red state, Nascar lovin North Carolina. After a standing ovation I looked at a man that would have probably called me the n word 40 years ago. He had tears in his eyes. He gave me a nod and he left. Very touching for a documentary!

We can thank the current administration for blocking all attempts so far, since 911. A lot of supporters of universal healthcare have rather simple-minded analyses. But I still agree with them. According to an article on wikipedia about "Healthcare", Afghanistan and Iraq have universal healthcare that is funded by the U.S. Very ironic. The federal government pays for the universal coverage for two other countries but not its own.
By the way, I found the comment by the woman who said she was not afraid of Al Qaeda very disturbing.

From 1997-2007 you were just as likely to drown in your bath tub as you were to have been killed in a terrorist attack.
You were more likely to be shot and killed by law enforcement than killed in a terrorist attack.

I know this may seem radical to some Americans but I believe when one of us falls, we all fall. Having 15% of our population running around with no health insurance is shameful, having so many children without health insurance is shameful. If you think our health care system is wonderful then you have never really used it. I still have yet to see a video or even comment with a glowing report, just people attacking people who had the guts to put their video out there.

I saw this film over the weekend in red state, Nascar lovin North Carolina. After a standing ovation I looked at a man that would have probably called me the n word 40 years ago. He had tears in his eyes. He gave me a nod and he left. Very touching for a documentary!

Looking forward to seeing this film. I think Micheal is a great writer, producer, gatherer & editor, but there are much harder working documentarians who still are shooting real film (16mm & 35mm) on much lower budgets. None of us get 400 prints made for opening weekends... Besides opening people's eyes about healthcare, I hope this movie will also encourage people to watch more documentaries, and less "reality" shows and bad sitcoms. Cheers Michael!

For those with MS in the UK, they are SCREWED. Numerous personal accounts on MS website from those in the UK system state that they are DENIED by doctors the drugs to help them. The doctors there told them that the drugs are "too expensive." I wrote an essay on rense. com about this titled "How big pharma has invaded your life."

My husband and I saw this last night and loved it. It was as good as I expected being a fan of his last 3 films. Bravo, Mr. Moore. I especially loved how you sent a check for $12,000 to the guy that has the anti-Michael Moore website so his wife could get medical care - class act all the way. Bet that guy feels like a jerk now. I wish more people were as brave to disclose the truth as you were. Also, because I want you to be around for a long time, please watch your weight.

Amazing film. I see the point why you're selling it as the "funniest film", and whatever helps to bring even brainless lovers of capitalism into this film is ok with me. The current health care system is profoundly un-Christian and un-American and what Michael does is true patriotism: creating awareness for injustice and the need to have a truly social and compassionate market economy one day.
