No one does 2 grams of heroin a day, maybe 2 grams of *cut* heroin, but 2 grams of heroin would outright kill you. Also opiates are opiates, it doesn't matter if they are ingested, intravenous, insufflated, smoked, etc.

Withdrawal is rarely fatal in heavily dependent individuals with very poor health but to attribute this solely to heroin is nonsense. Many non-fatal drugs in withdrawal can kill the very sick.
