I don't have this problem but i found a solution to Windows 7 drag and drop issue. It wouldn't let me post a link in here . The link was to Jeff Widmers Blog if you google that i am sure you will find it.Apparently you have to turn on UAC. (User Account Control) to use the drag and drop feature in WIndows 7. Hope this helps mates since Youtube wouldn't let me post the link here.

Got the form to work on windows vista. It drags and drop and now i have to put in the windows media player and work from there to get a working player. Thanks for showing how you get a list box. Now for it to play music. I am learning. Thanks mate. And if you other people look at your errors i am sure you will get the list box working. I had the same line twice and i figured it out i had errors and i seen where the mistakes were. Just look at the code on each line carefully and you will get it.

For everyone trying this... Windows 7 doesn't allow Drag & Drop... But Im pretty sure there must be another way... maybe someone wrote a DLL in C++

doesn't seem to work, using visual studios 2010 pro with windows 7 x86. Did everything but when I try to drag from explorer it still doesn't let me.

@anghios Replace ListBox1.Items.Add(FileName) with TextBox1.Text = FileName

@imback218 well i have done that but no help from it, i believe its a windows vista/7 issue because i am on windows 7 now and i tried this a year ago on vista and still never worked

no matter what i do i do the SAME EXACT thing as everyone else but i have NEVER gotten drag and drop to even attempt to work, i put in the code and allow drop and all that even running as admin and it still doesn't do a thing. Do you know why?

Like if you have a text box, could you drag a label or something like that into the text box and it add the label's text?
