  • What a fucking hot slut.

  • WTF? THIS IS BULLSHIT !!!!!!!!!

they make us sad and then they show a shit that wont help :@

  • She's still hot. She makes me horny.

  • Who cares about the ad, this woman is actually 45 years old! Yowza!

  • *rip* ahhh! *rip* ahhh!

  • Love it LOLOL Liz hurley ... rawr !

  • I say, where does Groupon find these thrilling, cutting edge witty campaigns?

  • Liz, i would love you with our with out bush.!

  • Come on.. I'm Brazilian and the name "brazilian wax" for a full depilation is totally wrong. The Brazilian Girls prefer a "Hitler style".

  • What do you do after NY deforestation? Plantation of human population? haa..haa.. haa..

    Sucker Groupon

  • Can we at least get a shot of Liz's face when they rip the resin off?

  • Damn, people need to laugh more. What's not to like about E. Hurley getting a Brazilian wax.

  • stupids.

  • it got such a negative reaction because it's illuminating gut hitting satire about american consumerism...many important issues such as these are ignored by the main stream media, but not last night...so thanks group on...im glad you guys got the dialogue going...even if it was "tasteless"

  • Wow, worst commercial ever! How about making an add that's actually worth watching groupon

  • Do I make you randy baby yeah ;B

  • who's getting sick of groupon's tasteless ads?

  • Seriously, people, before one more UNINFORMED LUDDITE pompously posts another negative snap-judgment on these ads, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to --> savethemoney.groupon.com and see EXACTLY what they're doing with these spots. It's a donation page BENEFITTING the causes featured in the ads. There's one more still to come with Sheryl Crow for BuildOn. It's unfathomable that so many fools are actually being offended by these (or maybe it isn't in this day and age). GROW A BRAIN and HELP OUT!

  • That's awesome!!!

  • @mikailmari how in the hell was this obama's fault?

  • "But not all deforestation is bad"

That line killed the whole commercial.

  • @Pikanyaasan seems like you didn't get that xD she was talking about the forest on your COOCH xD wax it honey. Groupon baby

  • @Pikanyaasan Umm...should I tell the virgin?! Or will someone ELSE PLEASE explain what a Brazilian is to our dear friend Pikanyaasan?! ROFLMAO>>>>>

  • @Pikanyaasan Stupid bitch.

  • These commercials are at least funny for people who find TV commercials more interesting than nature. They can stay glued to the TVs for their next instructions of what to consume while the corporations liquidate whats left of the biosphere... "for profit".

  • Hey, as long as we are destroying the rainforest and oursleves by extension, we might as well get a good deal right. Not funny Goupon... YOU BLOW!

  • These commercials are so funny. OMG

  • @87ramasaurus Seriously?

  • The DONATION angle needs to be more prevalent, from a marketing standpoint, as these ads, which I saw without that knowledge, only served to Piss Me Off and decide not to patronize the groupon site.

Witty ads, but what kind of monkeys work at ad houses that would overlook this gaffe?!

Just look at the negative vs positives for these ads here on youtube

  • American viewers are stupid. How I know? They get offended by these ads

  • @LocoGroove Hey, no offense, but I live in America. Born and raised in South Louisiana, and now exploring in the Oklahoma, Under the Comanche Moon. So PLEASE don't lump ALL Americans into the same pot! Because I STAND ALONE! And shame on you for being such an arrogent arse! I am a professional photographer and a writer, and I'm an AMERICAN, but I'm NOT OFFENDED by these commercials. They're daft! But what do you expect for the Superbowl?! It's SUPPOSED TO BW OBNOXIOUS! That's HALF the draw!Gwen.

  • i would love to nail that she devil.

  • best ads ever , and they are also getting people to donate to these causes on their site so its not all bad.

  • Comment removed

  • These Groupon commercials are, without a doubt, the SAVVIEST ads to air during the entire Superbowl. These are WAY smarter than many luddites will be able to give them credit for being, at least until they do some RESEARCH before knee-jerking their reactions based on a single viewing and NO CONTEXT! I hope to see MANY more of these! Just brilliant marketing all around.

  • @Coolestmovies A descontextualized viewer will obviously find it offensive and probably will associate the brand to this negative values immediatly, this isn't brilliant marketing in my book nor anyone's book for that matter...

This was a stupid move to say the least. Just look at the comments and the like / dislike ratio.

  • @KanecoPT --- Sorry, but you're absolutely wrong. It IS brilliant marketing in my book and the books of many others who work in this industry. Silly comments - pro OR con - on a web site won't change one single thing about this campaign, nor its brilliance. In fact, if anything has contributed to the "decontextualization" of contemporary mankind, it's services like YouTube allowing people to absorb visual information WITHOUT context, and then make snap judgments without USING THEIR HEADS.

  • @KanecoPT --- And frankly, it does NOT fall to any company or it's marketing agency to spoon-feed the millions of YouTube-addled snap-judgment-makers every bit of context they need before they shoot one frame of film or video, or draw up one storyboard. It's up to them to promote themselves how they see FIT, and maybe even engender a discourse in the process, as they've done here. If a few dim-bulbs get their panties twisted, ALL THE BETTER. They're utter predictability is just gravy on top.

  • @Coolestmovies I was forced to sign up in order to see the ads and their caring 'donation links'. If Groupon really cared, ANYBODY would be allowed to see their ads without the signup. BTW, I gave them random information when I signed up.

  • @JustSomeOldGuy -- Big deal! It's a great concept. Maybe you'll save some money and expand your horizons to local services and restaurants you may otherwise have ignored because of the cost. There are a LOT of companies doing this nowadays: Groupon, Living Social, Wagjag, TeamBuy. Even if it turns out to be a fad in the long run, the charitable possibilities inherent in the concept are wide-ranging, as Groupon is proving. And you don't HAVE to sign up to see the ads: they're on YouTube, no?

  • I understand what Groupon is trying to do here, but they should know that they are not stand up comedians or sketch artists for SNL.

They have to kiss up to the audience and the majority of the audience likes to be kissed up to and not mocked.

On the other hand these commercials will get more people talking about Groupon, perhaps initially in a negative tone, but people will see what they are about and sign up for their service if they see a good deal.

  • lol. i like it

  • Is this supposed to be funny?

  • haha, I give $50/month to environmental groups and try to eat local organic but I thought this ad was hilarious

  • These commercials are like when the poser kids start copying what all the cool kids are doing. One day they look like white WuTang members and the next day they come out sporting Ray Bands with ironic moustaches listening to Vampire Weekend.

Groupon = those losers in HS.

  • As a human being who is also a woman, I find there are two levels to this ad that are nauseating: One is the, "Oh well, too bad about the rainforest. Me and my gal pals saved a bundle of dough with GroupOn getting our snatches and buttholes waxed," And the second is, "Not all deforestation is bad...in fact you know what the real ecological disaster is? Your horrible, hairy bush is."

This whole campaign is awful. They are so offensive to so many people.

  • I won't be buying any more groupon deals.... This is terribly offensive.

  • Not funny. This whole campaign is horrendous. I'm embarrassed to be a Groupon customer. You whole ad scheme is nauseating.

  • My 'Map of Tasmania' is almost as offended by this ad as the Brazilian rain forest.

  • I love the irony of folks putting these Groupon ads down on the basis that they're controversial. Marketing accomplished!

  • groupon you f'ing suuuucccckkkk!!!!!

  • Sales 101 - keep it positive. I understand the intended effect, but why associate your brand with environmental destruction (even if you are kidding)? Bad attempt at humor.

  • hehe

  • These ads, on Groupon's site, are also raising money towards the issues being poked 'fun' at. savethemoney .groupon .com/

And EH talking about deforestation doesn't interest you?

  • Seems like Top Gear's Clarkson did these ads. It really seems like a parody for Groupon's stupid scheme.

  • permanent destruction of precious ecosystem, HILARIOUS!

    fuck groupon.

  • Man, that woman gets hotter and hotter.

  • Reminds me of the disgusting Kenneth Cole ad using Egypt.

  • One day I want to write an ad like this.

  • Focus on the internet guys, leave the advertising to professionals.

  • I really hate these ads. It's like black comedy, without the comedy.

  • stupid. ad.
