awesome!! Is that a goPro? I need one of those things!! Ive been training for about 2 months, but im still afraid that maybe I will not make it!!! Any last minute advice? This video made me think about a movie I saw last week, “Discover the Gift”. it talks about being true to yourself and do whatever you do best giving 100% all the time. I loved it! u should check it out!! facebook. com/discoverthegift
cool video. I am planning to do this triathlon, now in May, I would like to know a little bit more about the swimming part. I've done a sprint triathlon in lake, but in ocean should be little bit different? How was the swimming part, maybe you can give me some tips.
The "gaps" you mention, are expansion joints. I recall them in the old causeway, heard when I was a kid in the fifties: they made car tires go "thump". Bike tires at high pressure are a lot more sensitive to the effects of expansion joints between sections of concrete roadway: thump, air, bump!
Dude! you're crazy for holding on to you aerobars down the bridge! at 44! i think my fastest was 38. but holding on to the handlebars...what kind of bike do you have?
I live close in dt so i go to key biscayne at least twice a week. i love this bridge. its the best circuit for us down here to train year-round. pretty much the only challenge we have.
@TheBookbound Tell me about it. I remember it was pretty windy that day too. Also, you can't notice it too much in the video, but I am pushed slightly off the road and near the bottom I hit one of those reflectors (or where one used to be). I actually catch about an inch of air. Not much and not long, but I remember the feeling of the road disappearing beneath me. Pretty exciting at the time. Oh, and I ride a Specialized Transition.
@brianhogan2007 I forgot what he said, but I think that after the u-turn he felt I was blocking him, then he goes ahead and passes me on the right. Whatever. I rested for a bit and caught him on the climb back up.

Nice shifters. There's probably a nice bike to go with them.
