The evidence was poor and everyone who can read knows it. The DNA was of a quality inadmissable in American courts. No one has ever reconciled the conflicting accounts of what happened and when. Ambiguous testimony was never clarified. I'm sure BOTH sides are eagerly awaiting the full-blown appeals process, later this year. I do agree there were lies but none that really incriminated Amanda Knox or Sollecito. It's all speculation made more speculative by media frenzy and small-town intrigue.

No one is guilty when evidence is sketchy and juries are given the summer off to peruse the media reports of their case. This case cannot be fairly judged until the appeals process is completed, next Fall.

It's simply amazing how all of these Knox haters REFUSE to see that justice was not served in this case. From the onset of the investigation to the conviction of Knox, police, and the prosecutor have portrayed her as someone she is not. The media attention was all they needed to convict her. The jury was blinded by the constant media bombardment of unfounded evidence. The DNA was suspect in every aspect. The case was built on making the crime fit Knox, not Knox committing the crime.

Not at all! The Italian govt. includes an automatic appeals process. This is motivated by a need to thoroughly review the evidence in as fair a way as possible. Both American and Italian justice systems allow for appeal in cases like this. Some have decided that an appeal is not necessary, that the poor quality evidence was enough. I think they want a 2nd victim in this crime rather than justice.

Knox forgot that there were other people in the interrogation room besides police officers and the interpreter is a reliable witness the police can ask to testify in the matter.
Another thing is that if Knox accusation was true she must be able to identify WHO (which officer/s) "hit" her. BUT up to this very moment she has been unable to do it! LOL
The interrogation of Knox and Sollecito did not last 14 hrs:
Knox arrived at the police station with Sollecito on Nov 5 at 11pm. She went of her own will, she wasn't asked to go there. They began to ask her questions at around midnight because Raffaele had confessed that Knox hadn't spend the whole evening with him. Thus, the police asked her where she had really been. It didn't take long for her to accuse Lumumba - her confession is dated 1:45 am of Nov 6.
Knox was kept at the station but was only interrogated again, this time by Mignini, at 5:45am.
Chicken knox made then a "spontaneous declaration" that was not allowed in court since she was already considered a suspect and didn't have a lawyer. And she received a detention order by midday.
This myth of 14 hrs investigation made up by Friends of Amanda is really ridiculous!
It's amazing that there are still people stupid enough to swallow it!

@HoopsEntertainment If you woke up and saw a little blood on the bathmat in your bathroom, would you automatically think someone had been murdered the night before? They started getting scared when they noticed a broken window and Meredith's door was still locked.
I also seem to remember reading something about a cat with a cut ear running around the house that made the blood streaks on the light switch, but it didn't make a lot of sense to me, so I'd have to look it up again.

She claimed the police kept yelling at her and telling her she was at the cottage that night although she denied it. They questioned he repeatedly about a text message to her boss and moved on to hypotheticals. She immediately retracted her "confession" the next day.
Her explanation for doing cartwheels and yoga poses was because her back was stiff and yoga helped her to calm down.

If I say to you I was using my computer on Dec 14, and you say prove it. I could turn to my internet provider and subpoena the records, or I could hand over the hard drives to experts who could demonstrate whether I was or was not using my computer INDEPENDENT of internet usage. Neither I nor several of my friends, including two Italian lawyers, know Amanda, care that much about defending imperialist minded America, or have any stake in seeing her found guilty or not guilty. The evidence was poor and everyone who can read knows it. The DNA was of a quality inadmissable in American courts. No one has ever reconciled the conflicting accounts of what happened and when. Ambiguous testimony was never clarified. I'm sure BOTH sides are eagerly awaiting the full-blown appeals process, later this year. I do agree there were lies but none that really incriminated Amanda Knox or Sollecito. It's all speculation made more speculative by media frenzy and small-town intrigue.

For a lot less, Scott Peterson was setenced to death in the US - only circumstantial, no physical evidence at all!
And I applaud (not the sentence, only barbarians execute people) the guilty verdict!
In Meredith's murder case there are LOADS of circumstantial evidence and many physical evidence: 5 mixed DNA samples, 3 luminol revealed footprints, the bra clasp with plenty of Sollecito's DNA, and the knife, on top of all witnesses and records!
There is no doubt about Knox's culpablility!

The evidence against Scot Peterson was merely circumstantial and 1/4 of the 10,000 pages presented by the prosecution on Knox and Sollecito's trial.

The evidence against Knox and Sollecito is so hard that even though their top lawyers have requested many times their release from preventive custody they have never succeeded!
The validity of these rulings and of the evidence supporting them was confirmed when the jury found them guilty on 5 charges including murder, sexual assault, tampering with evidence, and defamation (only Knox for fingering Lumumba).
It would require a miracle for them to be declared innocent by a Court of appeal!

Knox and Sollecito have already appealed several times and were sent BACK TO JAIL, TIME AND AGAIN!
Let's just recapitulate ALL the STAGES of their conviction:
1- They were declared SUSPECTS by police and Prosecution was asked to start working on the case
2- GIP (Investigation Judge) Claudia Matteine issued a detention order
3- Re-Examination Court - 3 judges presided by Massimo Ricciarelli - re-stated there were serious signs of culpability and refused them house arrest?

5- GUP (Preliminary Hearings) judge Paolo Micheli decided Sollecito and Knox had to stand trial and kept them in preventive custody
6- Court of Assizes - 2 judges and 6 jurors presided by Giancarlo Massei - found them GUILTY on ALL ACCOUNTS!
Time and time again, 4 prosecutors, 19 judges and 6 jurors examined the evidence and found them guilty!

No one is guilty when evidence is sketchy and juries are given the summer off to peruse the media reports of their case. This case cannot be fairly judged until the appeals process is completed, next Fall.

It's simply amazing how all of these Knox haters REFUSE to see that justice was not served in this case. From the onset of the investigation to the conviction of Knox, police, and the prosecutor have portrayed her as someone she is not. The media attention was all they needed to convict her. The jury was blinded by the constant media bombardment of unfounded evidence. The DNA was suspect in every aspect. The case was built on making the crime fit Knox, not Knox committing the crime.

Not at all! The Italian govt. includes an automatic appeals process. This is motivated by a need to thoroughly review the evidence in as fair a way as possible. Both American and Italian justice systems allow for appeal in cases like this. Some have decided that an appeal is not necessary, that the poor quality evidence was enough. I think they want a 2nd victim in this crime rather than justice.

The police can easily prove that Knox falsely accused them!
Knox forgot that there were other people in the interrogation room besides police officers and the interpreter is a reliable witness the police can ask to testify in the matter.
Another thing is that if Knox accusation was true she must be able to identify WHO (which officer/s) "hit" her. BUT up to this very moment she has been unable to do it! LOL

The interrogation of Knox and Sollecito did not last 14 hrs:
Knox arrived at the police station with Sollecito on Nov 5 at 11pm. She went of her own will, she wasn't asked to go there. They began to ask her questions at around midnight because Raffaele had confessed that Knox hadn't spend the whole evening with him. Thus, the police asked her where she had really been. It didn't take long for her to accuse Lumumba - her confession is dated 1:45 am of Nov 6.
Mignini was not present at the time!

Knox was kept at the station but was only interrogated again, this time by Mignini, at 5:45am.
Chicken knox made then a "spontaneous declaration" that was not allowed in court since she was already considered a suspect and didn't have a lawyer. And she received a detention order by midday.
This myth of 14 hrs investigation made up by Friends of Amanda is really ridiculous!
It's amazing that there are still people stupid enough to swallow it!

My friend, I'm afraid it is a FACT that Knox is a murderer. She has been found guilty in a court of law. It is also a FACT that she will be spending some decades behind bars in Italy. Once the appeals are done and dusted, I suspect one of them will crack and the truth will out. It really is the only way for them to reclaim what little dignity and soul they might have left.
