  • nice dude...thumbs up for you!

  • this is actually a brilliant cover and deserves so much more views

  • I have some insight as to the effects used in the lead parts.

Billy actually used an Octaver (pretty sure a BOSS Octaver) on it, along with one of his many fuzz pedals (possibly a Muff) and a fender blender. While it'd be damn near impossible to get the exact sound, especially with Billy. Also take note that the song used nearly 70 guitar tracks at one point. However, you can get the best sound using a fuzz pedal with an octaver set to a low setting.

  • @peniosasdasd THANKS SO MUCH for the insight man... .. i need to get an octaver for sure ... i cant believe 70 backing tracks ... only billy corgan ... that is fucking insane!!!

  • @levey24 not at the same time though?........

  • @peniosasdasd

    it was a

    fender blender

    fuzz/octave pedal

  • @peniosasdasd Big Muff, Boss OC-2. He used 70 guitar tracks for Soma.

  • SP is my favorite rock band of all time and the band that inspired me to learn to play the drums. Your guitar work is very good and I really enjoyed it. Keep it up!

  • locoberzerker is a noobynerd...noone wants to watch his vids..na na na na na ;P

  • freakin sweet

    im still working on it

  • Americas got talent!

  • lol i wish I was good enough

  • dude are u kidding me? u play awesome!

  • hey where you get the tabs for this? looked everywhere cant seem to find that seem right

  • go on to google and type in " Guitar Tabs for Rocket by Smashing Pumpkins"

  • i know you're not using one,but during the um..bridge or pre-chorus or whatever you wanna call it,sounds like there's a banjo in there. interesting effect and i like the way you layered the guitars. corgan would be proud. overall the solos are good. i probably couldn't even attempt to play them as good as album, and this comes pretty darn close except a couple of places, but that's okay cuz i don't think you had the neccesary fx/slides or whatever to play this,so i give it an 8 for layering.

  • thanks dude i appreciate your logical analysis of the video, i agree with everything you say!

the effect i thiiiiiiiiink was just from one of the ones on garage band from a mac i cant be sure tho

  • Pretty good, though some of the bends on the lead parts sound a little pitchy. Just keeping it real, my friend.

  • uses an octavator in the mini solos, just in case your wondering.
