  • Rolling Stones didn`t steal any blues :). They covered blues songs ! Stones are hooked to the blues :) The name of the band comes from a song title by Muddy . They had such admiration for the blues that they traveled in Chicago to meet Muddy Waters @ Chess Records and they did a session there too :) Because they tought blues is great they invited Muddy and Willie Dixon to Europe and they payed all expense for that first European tour. Led Zeppelin was stealing not Stones :)

  • "when da lord get ready", "you gotta move".. Hhmm!! sounds like a lil' rolling stones took some lyrics there as well.. you'll hear british bands take from the blues.. they stole our music and gave it back to us... it shaped 60s music and culture.. without the early black man, "then who would we be"?? "a bunch of honkies that could't play guitar worth a damn". god bless you early american musicians.. RIP!

  • @man0warII Don't act like British bands are any different to any other bands.

  • That's Eli Green singing and Fred on the guitar.

  • I do a take of this great tune ;)

  • This is music in it's purest elemental form, and probably music at its best.

  • I believe this is from the album Levee Camp Blues. The liner notes say that Lomax recorded this impromptu with a recorder whose batteries were almost dead. Th singer, Eli Green, never recorded another song and practically nothing is known about him, I personally love this song!

  • @intenseartist so is this eli green or fred mcdowell?

  • Unbeliveable stuff! I heard him for more than 25 years and cant stop! That the beginning of all rock,Pop,Hiphop,Rock´n Roll,Jazz and all other music genres!

Wonderful Phrases of his guitar and voice and rhythm! Todays music is all in there!!!

  • @stratocaster844 yes sir, madam and punk just say it like you live it

  • That's Eli Green on vox actually, this has to be one of the only riff's Jimmie Paige didn't use; or did he? listen and you tell me! lol

  • theres some fucking soul in that song

  • wow !

    this is great !
